Stamford is gaining ground! My first three experiences were lackluster, but I decided to go rogue and not go with local suggestions. I decided to depend solely on google and my keen eye for culinary excellence. This has worked to my advantage, especially tonight. I ate at Fish Restaurant + Bar. Nestled in Dowtown, Stamford featuring local fresh seafood. The menu was eclectic and very well thought out. They have weekly happy hour, weekly, and regular menu offered daily. I couldn’t get past the happy hour menu, not for pricing alone but the variety it offered. The dinner menu had something for everyone and the weekly menu was interesting as well. I started up with a dozen of Beausoleil Oysters from New Brunswick. First time having these particular oysters and I believe they replaced my favorite Blue Point. I also had the Middle Eastern Falafel Sliders, coconut chipotle vegan mayo, lettuce, hummus bi tahini served on a pretzel bun. This is one of my go to dishes every time I want Middle Eastern. The coconut chipotle mayo was out of this world. The next dish the Swordfish Lettuce Wraps, cabbage slaw and a ginger peanut sauce. One word; YUMMY! I also had the Mini Baja Fish Tacos, fresh jalapeños, cabbage slaw, mango salsa. They are very authentic and comparable to the fish tacos I had in Mexico. Next on the list was the Pork Belly Lollipops with a Hawaiian Smoked Teriyaki Glaze. Need I say more? Finally we come to the Spicy Buffalo Rock Shrimp with a buttermilk blue cheese. I will be honest I liked the blue cheese more than the shrimp. The shrimp was my least favorite of the five. I envisioned something entirely different when I ordered it which led me to have mixed feelings about this dish. I also had a couple of Six Point Hi Res Triple IPA’s that were the proverbial icing on the cake. The bar tender Patrick was on point from start to finish. Great food, cool vibe, awesome staff and service. Patrick was super. Definitely planning to go back soon. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Really enjoyed the lobster gnocchi and the halibut was delicious. Excellent service and great atmosphere.
My husband and I frequent this place. We love the fresh food and service! Thanks to Jared and Ashley who always make us feel welcome and at home! We are in the business so we know how difficult it is and they treat us the way we like to treat our customers! We highly recommend FISH!
This was my first time at FISH with my husband. We sat at the bar, and our bartender was Jared, he was "awesome ". We only wanted appetizers and asked Jared to recommend a few, we had grilled Spanish octopus, swordfish lettuce wrap, and roasted Brussel sprouts with truffle potatoes. All 3 dishes were delicious. We enjoyed the quality customer service, ambiance, and the friendliness of the staff.

Amazing happy hour. Everything tasted fresh and well seasoned. I had the lobster Mac n Cheese and it was rich, creamy, and made with love. I will be back for this again!

Great fresh fish. Loved the lobster grilled cheese with tomato bisque for lunch. The scallops were done of the best I've had.
Horrible food. Waste of money. Don't go and waste your money too.. Service as terrible . They should close it down
Hands down a must go to for seafood! The stuffed shrimps and Yellow Fin Tuna were amazing!

Decided to dine here on a whim with my best friend on a Wednesday night. Neither of us had eaten here before and we wanted to give it a try. First impression: decor was clean and simple with white leather booths. Very nautical and spacious. We were seated right away and handed beverage menus. Our waitress was friendly and very attentive. We were impressed right away with the variety of delicious appetizers and entree choices. We chose to start with the brussels sprout salad and the tuna carpaccio on flatbread. Both were incredible. I chose the Scallop and Ravioli entree and everything was cooked to perfection. Dessert menu in my opinion, was lacking in choices and creativity but other than that, I had a great experience and will be returning.
Service was lovely! The dishes were very contemporary and creative! In an area clustered with restaurants this place is a must! We got the blackened shrimp nourish bowl and the calamari & arugula salad (great portion sizes by the way and both were delicious)!
Note: *The nourish bowl gets a little bland by the end because it lacks a sauce… maybe ask if they have sirarcha/ketchup/chipotle aioli?
Octopus appetizer was so good. Salmon and mashed potatoes was cooked perfectly. Such a nice outdoor atmosphere.
I love this place. It has become a go to spot for special occasions. Their lunch specials are great. The desert platter is a must have. From my personal experience, the swordfish is fantastic. Same with the lobster bisque, it was the best I have ever had.
Fish is simply a gem -- fresh delicious fish and seafood delivered with a twist. The oysters were perfect -- fresh and cold, but our favorite was the tuna poke bowl, featured with warm jasmine rice and a snappy sriracha sauce. The decor is smart and upscale. The best part, however, was the service which was warm, efficient and caring. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly!
