Traveled from MA for work. Searched “best brunch in Stamford” and this came up. I was intrigued by the photos I saw. The parking lot was very busy and I almost did not try to go in. I am so happy we did. The French toast was fantastic!! Our server and back waiter were absolutely amazing! After ordering breakfast I wanted a milkshake. It was gorgeous! So delicious and pretty! Upon leaving our server brought us some beautiful donuts! I will be sending lots of people down from MA. Happy findings!
I just had brunch here with some friends after discovering Elm Street Diner on instagram. I'm just sorry I didn't find this gem sooner! It was very busy, but despite how busy it was, the wait was kept to a minimum, and service was top notch. Everyone from the woman who sat us, to the gentleman who rang us up at the end, was very friendly and attentive. The food comes out looking exactly like the pictures, and tastes even better than it looks. Can't wait to go back!
Had the California Benedict and my boyfriend had pancakes with eggs, bet breakfast we’ve had at a restaurant! Absolutely delicious and the staff were great! Awesome place, 5 stars, would recommend to anyone!
Ate today , Food was great but whats more worth it is the dessert its just amazing , Good presentation And friendly staff , Owner was also kind so big thumbs up
Place was super busy saw the line of people waiting to be seated an I got discouraged....but to my surprise the staff had a hustle like I've never seen we we're seated in less then 5 mins food was amazing we went for breakfast we will be back to try dinner an desserts
We went to Elm Street tonight and I ordered one of the specials...pork osso buco with balsamic vinegar-glazed Brussels sprouts. The osso buco melted in my mouth and was good if not better than any fine-dining Italian restaurant! Hats off to Chef Louie.
Had a really great time here last night! All the food was great and watching all the crazy shakes, waffles and other creations pass our table was really entertaining! All the staff was friendly and really helpful with food recommendations. We'll definitely be coming back!
This place was awesome from the start the food, the people were amazing! Definitely going back again! It was so worth the drive!

We were driving through Connecticut and stopped for dinner, we couldn't have picked a better place for our Connecticut experience! Beautiful interior and absolutely amazing and quality food!!! They have earned their 5 star ratings for sure!
Delicious food, far better than what I've experienced at any diner and I do enjoy diners. I've been twice and enjoyed entirely different things both times. Milkshakes, rice pudding, wings, cheeseburger, chili, chicken lemon soup, chocolate cake all delicious.
Great food and deserts. Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Owner couldn't be any nicer. All around, just a great place.
After hearing great reports of Elm Street Diner, I decided that it was time to finally dine here. This was my first time dining at the establishment!
Upon arrival, the parking lot located in the back of the restaurant was already filled. On a weekend, I would advise people to be ready to wait to be seated. People typically wait for a table by these stairs shown in one of my photos. My party waited 40 minutes before being seated.
The restaurant was clean and offered a wonderful ambiance! My party and I ordered the avocado toast, farmer's omelet, portobello omelet, and the chicken lemon soup. The food was so delicious!
If you are going to Elm Street Diner on a Sunday (they are only open until 2 PM!), the kitchen closes at 1:30 PM. Thankfully, people who were seated shortly after us were able to place their orders before this time. Would recommend when in the Stamford area!
I kinda got here a little close to closing time. However I wasn't able to indulge in the milkshake with all the fixings. Other than that, the food was very good and I mean very good here. All of the food had great presentation. I would strongly recommend dining here if u haven't already. Worth every penny in my opinion.
My first time visiting Elm Street Diner. After reaching the diner couldn't find the parking entrance, we had to circle around to find the parking on another street in the back.
The restaurant is beautiful, clean and great atmosphere. I took my daughter here for her birthday, the food was delicious 😋, burgers looked juicy, I had both fry chicken and gyro. The fry chicken was well seasoned and crispy, my gyro was great. There were so many great things on the menu.
Our waiter was very friendly and polite, everyone was so nice. Even though we got to the restaurant one hour before closing they took our order a party of 7 ppl, and was patience with us while we eat we didn't feel rushed at all.
A very nice diner, really liked the decor and seating. We ordered and our food came out quick. Can definitely share the plate. My sister enjoyed her short rib burrito and my Mac and cheese burger was perfect. We shared the Buffalo chicken Mac and Cheese fries. Those were so good.
This place was recommended by a friend. And it was a solid recommendation. The food is excellent. Every plate that I saw served to other patrons looked phenomenal. I had the Chicken Waffle Benedict, which was absolutely delicious. Clean dining area. The staff were super friendly as well. I would eat here again because there were so many different dishes on the menu that I would like to try.
Our experience was great overall, and the Nutella pancakes were definitely the best way to wrap up our meal. The steak on our potato skins however, lacked in seasoning. I hope they fix that in the future as this dish is meant to be a special. Otherwise, keep up the great work guys!
I live in Florida and created a wish list of places to visit for my ny visits. This place was on my list, and it did not disappoint! All the food looks delicious, and I think I’ll need to make trips to Stamford instead of ny going forward 😅 really impressed and super glad I got to come here and try their amazing food! I will say parking is a little confusing. Parking and main entrance located on a parallel street called Halloween St.
Had a lovely time with my husband at Elm Street Diner. Was our time time there and we were very impressed with the atmosphere inside.
Great food and lots of options to choose from, something for everyone especially if your in a mood for a surprise. We loved our meals, so worth it and super filing. We hope to come back again to try one of the crazy deserts.
