The best deli in Starkville I always have the same server Diana Gordon. Her friendliness is beyond the roof. She makes you want to hop the counter and hug her. The food is excellent. The won 2nd place at the Souperbowl this year, please bring Mrs. Rosie’s Cheese Soup to you menu!

I want to thank Jeremy Manning and the staff at Peppers. They put together a sandwich tray, pinwheel tray and dessert tray(cookies and brownies). It was ready when I picked it up, the presentation was appealing and everything tasted great!
The food is always amazing, wraps, sandwiches, and flatbreads, and the service is always great. The waitresses are very sweet and provide excellent customer service.
My favorite lunch spot! The workers are so sweet and very fast with getting orders in and out! Today i walked in and the boss man or worker took very good care of me today and paid for my sweet and cookie! �

Just got catering from here. LOVED IT!! They were timely, and set it up for us. They got all the nit picky things correct as well. I would recommend catering from here. Their lunch boxes are amazing. I would recommend the chicken salad!! Thank y'all for a great experience!

Still a good place but not the same as it once was. Food quality dropped when franchised and bulldog deli became Peppers. Same thing happened to its sister restaurant the Grill.

Still have cups. I graduated from MSU 4 years ago and I still have the to go cups from the deli. Great place reasonable pricesnand they outfit most of Starkville with large plastic cups.
Easily the most inconsistent restaurant in Starkville, which is really apparent to me considering I've been ordering the same item virtually every time I go for roughly 5 years. I really do like the food here, but it needs some improvement. The rotel is either amazing or absolutely disgusting. Ever since this restaurant has franchised, the food's quality has really gone down. Disappointed with one of my favorite restaurants in Starkville.
A starkville staple.. There is really nothing special about the food at Bulldog Deli. But its special because its Bulldog deli. Does that make sense? Probably not. But its true. There's just something about Bulldog Deli that draws you in over and over again. Perfect, before or after a game, but expect a crowd.
Yummy in my Tummy!. Great deli...usually pretty quick service unless it's game day. I love their chicken salad. It is made with grapes and pecans...yummy! Their sweet tea is my favorite in Starkville.
Starkville Fixture. Bulldog Deli was doing the "college soup/sandwich/salad" thing way before the chains stared doing it.
Good food, fair prices, and local ownership are worth a lot when it comes to casual lunch and dinner dining.
This is an order-at-the-counter place, but they do take good care of you otherwise.

Not just a deli.... Bulldog deli (most commonly called "the deli") is not your average sandwich shop.... it is one of the original restaurants created by university management (which also owns sweet peppers, harveys & the cotton district grill). the deli blows mcalister's out of the water. sweet peppers has the exact same menu as the deli (i mean, EXACT), except everything is about a dollar more expensive. we never get tired of this place. i recommend the cuban panini with pasta salad or the waldorf salad. also, do not miss the turtle cheesecake. it's the best you've ever had...guaranteed.
The Bulldog (formally known as the Big Nasty) is the best sandwich in the State of Mississippi. The Bulldog Deli was aslo voted "Best Deli" in Mississipppi according to Mississippi Magizine!!

Nice deli where you will get so many options. I love the sandwiches, mostly panini style. It’s a good idea to pick half sandwich half soup/ salad/ baked potato type options. They can serve soup in bread bowls. I tried the baked potato ( I think you will get this option everyday), which was decent. Honestly I have had this soup much better in different places. But I love the Sicilian sandwich. Loaded baked potato was also very filling and tasty. They have a lot of cake slices for those having a craving for something sweet. The cheesecakes or chocolate cakes look yum, however I have not tried yet. I am definitely going back to try their flatbreads too.
I absolutely love this place and I dare say I am a regular at this point. Staff is always so nice and I love their food!
Reasonable prices for a big lunch. I tried loaded potatoes soup and it was delicious. Sandwich was not a big one but after ate that soup, I was pretty much fun. It was probably not the best idea to get the bread bowl for the soup during COVID but I did anyway. Was extremely full after eating the bread bowl.
Attentive and friendly staff. Manager checked on us. Food was quite tasty. We'll be back!
My nine year old is obsessed with their food. He wants me to take him her or bring home food from her 2-3 nights a week. For a mom you can't beat a kids meal and salad for under $15. They are very fast and I've not had a bad order yet. Five stars 🌟
