What a wonderful place! I had lunch with an old friend here who lives on Staten Island, and this place is a real surprise. Genuine Louisiana cuisine and plenty of it! From the outside the place is not much to look at, but step through the door and you're in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. We were warmly welcomed and the service was consistently excellent. I enjoyed the alligator bites and the jambalaya. A really nice tough was that they brought 2 bottles of hot sauce over to the table, so the heat was up to you. I don't get to Staten Island often but when I do I'll come back to Bayou. Really Excellent!
A friend had posted pictures on Thursday 8/10 and I made reservations Friday morning for 10 to celebrate my sister's birthday. Upon entering you are greeted with a smile and the atmosphere is so NO LA. The food was delicious!. We tasted each other's dish. Seafood gone wild, crawfish something, ribs, red snapper, wings,, alligator fritters, shrimps, seafood nachos. I don't remember what else but it was worth the trip. I was told by those who had a cocktail that they were mmm. Great service staff.
On our first date some eight years ago. We've now made a place we go for special occasions like her birthday. The staff was so good to us, never rushed very nice. Kevin our waiter even made a happy birthday in chocolate on my wife's desert. The food is as always amazing. Thank you Bayou for a great night out.
First time here was 10 days ago and I've already gone back for more! The food is outstanding(try the snapper), nice atmosphere, and friendly accommodating staff. Great date spot. Would highly recommend.
I literally went to this restaurant on a whim and I came out with a new favorite food location which I have to admit I wasn't expecting due to some somewhat underwhelming food I had at Bayou's sister restaurant, Beso. But Bayou, what a horse of a different color! I loved the ambiance, and the hole in the wall feeling. The food was absolutely divine, the sweet potato fritters were hands down the best appetizer I've ever had, I wish it came with more than 4 lol! I will be going back soon and my sweet tooth is dying for some dessert!
We love Bayou...everything about the place is fabulous...the food, sangria and staff are exceptional...and best of all the price is reasonable.
Excellent meal. Spectacular choices.. awesome service. Definitely a go to place for Cajun cooking in a great atmosphere.. don't miss this place!!!

I never had a bad dinner here! I was here last night...My steak Louie was cooked to perfection, and the crawfish nachos were delicious as always. The entire staff is very friendly and informative. And thumbs up to the bartenders!! They know how to mix drinks!!
Amazing night ... our first time here .. from the appetizers to the after dinner drinks ... simply amazing .. and the seared Tuna .. OMG .. to die for ... shout out to our server Nick!!! what an awesome guy!!!! we will definitely be back ...
