I’ve been wanting to come here for awhile but finally got the chance when my mom group had our Christmas party here! Everything was great! All of the food was delicious, great service, plus the room was setup lovely for us. I can’t want to go back and try more off the menu!
The Bungalow Lakehouse in Sterling, VA, offers a delightful culinary escape that seamlessly blends a charming ambiance with a diverse menu. My recent visit left me with a favorable impression.
The first thing that struck me was the picturesque setting. The lakeside location provides a serene backdrop, especially during the golden hour when the sun sets over the water. The outdoor seating area is a gem, allowing patrons to enjoy their meals while immersed in the soothing sounds of nature.
The menu at The Bungalow Lakehouse is expansive and caters to a variety of tastes. From classic American comfort food to innovative dishes, there's something for everyone. I opted for the Maryland Crab Cakes as a starter, and they were a highlight of the meal. The cakes were generously packed with succulent crab meat, perfectly seasoned, and had a satisfying crispness on the outside.
The service at The Bungalow Lakehouse was attentive and friendly. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered insightful recommendations. The pacing of the courses was just right, allowing us to savor each dish without feeling rushed.
While the dining experience was undoubtedly positive, there is always room for improvement. The dessert menu, though varied, could benefit from a few more creative options to match the innovation found in the main courses.
This spot checks all the boxes! I'm always lacking one specific experience here, and that's eating inside.
I've been here 6 times and have always eaten outside. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. Some of my best memories are made here. I have never received a bad dish.
Bring friends and family here, they will love it.
Also they have a spot outside where you can eat, drink, and smoke cigars! This joint has a cigar bar attached to the restaurant!
This place offers a fun and diverse experience in both food and atmosphere. The bartenders are impressively attentive and always on top of their game, adding to the enjoyable vibe. It's a very entertaining place with a wide range of options, making it an excellent choice for a great time out. Cheers to Bungalow Billiards and Brew!
Thank you...
A great place to visit if you want dinner, hangout in the bar, patio or to smoke cigars. They have something for everyone and the food is very good. Everything I've tried looked delicious and tasted the same. Highly recommend.
I ordered the grilled pork chop entree and enjoyed every bite! Pork chop was juicy, tender, and seasoned well. My friend ordered the supreme flatbread and thought was a bit too salty. Service was great. We sat outdoors and temperature was perfect.
I hosted a social event this Valentine's weekend on Saturday evening, and I realized I forgot to add a review -- so doing so now.
I've come here at least once before. The last time with family and we came in a different time and season, so 'twas outdoor seating then. I like the sports bar seating, but I'd reserved seating in advance and it looks like they placed us in ballroom straight up from the entrance. This was a first for me; I've never been down there.
It was (V)alentine’s Day upcoming, though I usually don't celebrate it this weekend was an exception to the rule.
For drinks I believe I got talked into the spiced caramel apple martini. The martini really hit the spot. It didn't hit the ball out the park, but it did some serious damage. For some reason the buzz never hit me.
Went straight in, off Specials menu -- Slow Roasted Prime Rib, 10oz (the smallest portion) that came w/ salted potato baked well, and green beans on side.
I must say the p-rib was superlative. Add on the dipping sauce and it was very flavorful and juicy. Not the best I ever had, but it was really something. Good abundance of taste and juiciness overall.
Baked potato, felt like bit too much salt, but in practice the salt was right on and hit the spot. I wonder they used kosher salt. Potato actually vied for best taste, next to p-rib. I like potato anything so this was fantastic indeed. Green beans were delectable and finished 'em all.
Good thing to say -- no leftovers, nothing to pack home.
Food was great. Company was much-welcomed and a great day and choice to celebrate V-Day in advance.
In truth, this was my sole celebration for V-Day -- and that doesn't happen every year. It was heartily worth it though.
Always been a fan of the Lakehouse. Looking forward to my next outing here, whenever that is.
Stopping for a meal late in the evening, my party of four enjoyed our time at the Bungalow Lakehouse. While daylight had long past so the views of the lake weren't quite possible to see, the outdoors seating area was still ideal.
Regarding food, it is okay at best, in my opinion. I ordered a pizza, which was quite thin and became cold much sooner than I'd have expected even from a pizza of its width. Service was welcoming, although server presence was lacking to a small degree.
With choice of seating outdoors, sports bar, and dining room, you can enjoy the great good in comfort!
A fine menu of America food. The prime rib weekend special should not be overlooked.
Ample parking. A great choice for very good food.
Very nice outdoor area with the view of lake. The terrace and balcony is beautiful. The fact that they have smoking and nonsmoking area is great. The live band is good. Overall the atmosphere and vibe is great. Our waiter was polite and friendly but he was really young and nor experience and kind of overwhelmed so I had to ask for anything like 3 times but he was great. The food tastes fine and the portion is big which is great for its price. All in all liked it there and would recommend it.
