Tried this place for the first time today and ordered the hot and sour soup as well as the Hong Kong beef.
The food was very good and it definitely lives up to to its "healthier" label. The soup broth was absolutely wonderful and had a depth of flavor that I have yet to see from any other similar restaurants in the area. The meat was tender and vegetables cooked perfectly and once again the dish had an amazing flavor, not similar to others I have tried but definitely exceptional. The rice was actually steamed and cooked perfectly as well.

Standard issue "hole in the wall" kind of vibe like Chinese spots in most cities. Seats about 15-20 overall so ideal for take out or medium sized groups. 2-person staff who are really friendly! Has a few pieces of Chinese art and photos on the walls. Definitely has a small "family-owned" ambiance to it overall - humble and simple.

I ordered a egg roll and the Yu Hiang Shrimp. Egg roll was probably one of the best in town. Light, crispy shell and lots of veggies inside. The main was dish was really tasty!! I waited I think just 10 minutes overall.

Great takeout place - I definitely recommend it. The setting isn't too nice to recommend dining in, but the food is on point!

AMAZING VEGAN OPTIONS!!! Great workers and super yummy stuff for super cheap. They do take a while to make ur food but it's family owned and ran so it makes sense. Me and my friends are definitely gonna go more often

This food is the best! I have eaten at many Chinese restaurants and most of the options are exactly the same with the same tastes. Hong Kong Kitchen's style is slightly different they have some of the same dishes that you are used to, but they somehow make it a LOT better. They have a mild to Hot to Extreme Hot option on most of their dishes and I am one that loves spicy dishes so I really enjoy their Extreme Hot option. I recommend this restaurant to all.

Food is always fresh and Katherine and Dennis are so nice - important to know what you want before you call as it makes it easier in everyone. Lots of good vegetarian options.

Best Chinese Food in the business. A mom and pop shop with their Son. NO MSG and good quality food. Their chicken fried rice is my favorite. I do add pepper steak with extra gravy and call is Super Fried Rice at times. This place is a must eat!

I'm a regular here. I've been away at college for a awhile, but everytime I come home, I order from here. There's no where in Grand Rapids with such great food as this. A lot of Chinese places have that greasy texture to everything, but HKK actually makes me feel good. Their vegetables are always fresh and crisp. Katherine is a delight.

By far the most fresh food in the area. Food is cooked to order and is always excellent! Good food coooked fresh takes time. In this case the wait is well worth it. Because it's made fresh it is also made to order. Take our or dine in eaither way you are sure to be satisfied.
