A colleague of mine recommended this restaurant to me. She and her family have been dining here for over 30 years. Now her children and grandchildren love dining at New Yen Ching. I have to say, it's the most freshest and best tasting Chinese cuisine I've eaten in Stockton. Very friendly service and extremely accommodating to make substitutions to menu items. The food was excellent and I'll definitely make this one of my favorite restaurants ♡
A family favorite since 1978...the year New Yen Ching opened. Wonderful food, fond memories of getting to know each generation of the Ju family, and always feeling welcomed to a great dining experience! Some of our favorites: mu shu pork, potstickers, hot braised fish, Mongolian beef, hot & sour soup! Beautiful decor. Enjoy!

One of the restaurants I miss most now that I'm not in Stockton. I try to stop by for some Mongolian Beef whenever I can, New Yen Ching's is the best around.

Our family favorite for over 40 years. We began the tradition with the Yen Ching in Lodi, and now have made Stockton our go to destination for excellence in fine dining.
I got the lunch special #5, hot braised pork with vegetables and special hot sauce. The meal came with rice, two fried wonton skins, and a bowl of soup (in my case, it was hot and sour soup). The hot and sour soup was delicious and well-balanced in terms of spice and acidity with a nice ratio of ingredients. The braised pork was steamy and flavorful. The pork itself was a bit chewy, but not too bothersome. The crispy friend wonton skins are a nice addition. I do wish the rice portion was a bit bigger, it's around a handful. The staff were friendly and answered my question when I asked them what they'd recommend. However, they seemed a bit impatient. Overall, my experience was good, the food was great, and I'd return.
Had dinner here for the first time. The waitress was helpful and accommodating when we ordered. The food arrived quickly and was delicious.
Stopped by to get some house chicken today. It was very good. The Egg flower soup was super tasty too. The staff is friendly and attentive.

Food was decent for most vegetables. I think the quality of some of the meats were not the best but the food was prepared well. Tried out a combination for multiple people and the serving sizes were good. Portions of dishes were very fair and filling. The person who talked with us was very friendly and engaging. Overall I had a good experience and would try again.
