Stone Harbor is affectionately called, "The Seashore at it's Best." The same can be said of Donna's Place. It is a place for great food, great pastries, meeting old and new friends and enjoying the Jersey Shore as it was in the 1960's when a good meal with your family, friends and children was the best part of the summer vacation. As someone that has been on the Seven Mile Island for over 50 years, I can attest to the fact that as a family establishment, serving the freshest of foods and baking all of their own pastries...Donna's Place is indeed Stone Harbor's best kept secret. Well, the secret is out. Take the family, the children and enjoy casual dining at reasonable prices in an immaculately kept establishment where quality and friendliness is the keystone that accompanies every meal. Just having finished a Father's Day meal of the Caesar's Salad and the Basket of Fried Shrimp...you couldn't ask for more satisfaction from a long established Stone Harbor tradition. The prices are very reasonable, the quantities of each serving of food is hearty and you will leave, "full in your stomach and not empty in your wallet!" Always look for a place where the locals eat! As a local for over half a century this author can guarantee that Donna's Place will not disappoint you. After dinner, enjoy freshly baked pastries, ice cream with the old fashioned toppings, jimmies, sprinkles, crushed Oreo cookies or whatever other indulgent delight is available. Hugh McNichol

Great place on the south side of town to avoid the typical morning rush. We usually call ahead to order breakfast sandwiches, then also pick up pastries at the counter. A few times we’ve ordered the lobster dinner, too, which has been great each time.

I wanted to get oysters to go on July 4th. I stopped by in the morning to make sure that they would have some later in the day. They took my order and had it ready when scheduled. They added horse radish for me. They were polite and friendly. The price was very reasonable. Definitely coming back.

Purchased shrimp and grouper to cook at home and they were excellent. Shrimp we quickly did for shrimp cocktail and the grouper we lightly seasoned before steaming. It melted in your mouth. Will purchase from there again.

We really enjoyed our dinners (especially the fish tacos, lobster rolls, and butternut squash soup topped with crab meat). And the staff and service (which is hard to find especially during a holiday weekend at the end of the summer season) was outstanding! We’ll be coming back for sure!

Very good service and amazing quality food, I have been eating here for many years and is my go to spot to get a Meal or some seafood to cook back at home. I highly recommend the buffalo chicken loaded fries!

Still the best crab cakes at the shore. They use an old Philadelphia recipe that brings me back to my childhood. Whether you have them as a sandwich on a soft brioche bun or as a salad you cannot go wrong. The bakery in the morning is a great meeting place with fresh pastries and coffee. FYI, if you get here close to sunset walk across to the bay and enjoy the beautiful view. This place is a quiet gem.
