Carmelo's has been our family fave since we moved to Sugar Land. The staff and service is always great! The beef fajita meat is to die for!
Went today for lunch for the first time and will not be the last. Everything was delicious, the flautas were the best I have ever had, huge burritos, tacos al carbón. See you soon!

Love it all, but the fajita burrito smothered in queso is my go to. The food is consistant in quality every time. They have made a lifer out of me.
Great food, and great staff. Couldn't have asked for better experience. The burrito is a must. If you haven't been here don't waste your time anywhere else.

This is my first time here, I wanted some chilaquiles and found this place on Google maps. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a very welcoming smile from the staff, the waitstaff is amazing here! Food is wonderful! I had the Chilaquiles with green sauce and they were delicious! I asked if I could substitute the chicken or beef with Carne Guisada… right away I was told “sure thing!”, no hesitation, no charge.. very accommodating!! Homemade flour tortillas, too!
I’m a regular at Carmelo’s for their Extra spicy (Caliente style) Beef Taco on flour tortillas .. it’s so delicious and satisfying to the taste buds 😋 Their Chicken Quesadilla is yummy too .

This is one of the BEST Mexican food restaurants hands down!!! The food is amazing from the chips and salsa, the meals, and the drinks. The atmosphere is so welcoming. The staff is amazing and friendly. They always make sure you are happy with your meal and service. We normally sit in and eat, but we have also done take out and have never had issues. Their pricing is very reasonable for the large amount of food you get. If you are looking for a family oriented/ family owned Mexican restaurant I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!!! BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN THIS AREA!!!!
Was first time there Sat. Went back Sun. morning was heading back San Antonio, could not get breakfast on Sunday, didn't open till 9am. I missed out. I will get back there lunch.
Yummy food, good vibes and nice music. We ordered the fajita burrito the mole and chicken burrito the cheese quesadillas and rice and beans all yummy. Orchata water good too oh oh the chips are good like real tortilla chips not bagged.

The owners and servers are friendly. You get chips & salsa while you wait. Meals are served in no time at all. Their sweet tea is just perfect and all beverages are served in a huge glass and comes with refills. Dining here is always enjoyable. The decor is fun. Restrooms are clean. And parking is available in front and on the side.
A wonderful hometown place with awesome food at a great price!! It was a Wednesday night and there was certainly a regular flow of customers. Friendly service + great food = two thumbs up!
Giiiiirrrllllll. I don't review unless I really like or really dislike AND I LOVED THE FOOD HERE. They make everything fresh and to order and it's well worth the wait. The food is seasoned well (especially the ground beef in the queso) the tortillas are delicious and the portions are good! It wasn't over-priced and the service was kind as well - Rosaria is super sweet. I HIGHLY recommend!! I'll be back for sure to try more things!
Best Mexican food in Sugar Land. Been frequenting this spot since 2013. I can't praise it enough. Burritos are huge, quesadillas are perfect, and enchiladas are my go to. Also, best salsa. Just go there and eat.
