Typical Mongolian grill, clean atmosphere, quick seating, and friendly waiters.
Although you go up to the counter with metal bowls and pick your meats and veggies, you don't get an appetizer menu. You need to ask for it. Appetizers are a bit over priced, such as 4 dumplings for $4.
Some meats apparently are only at night, such as certain cuts of beef. But you do have plenty of meat put into that small bowl! Before you pick your meats there are recipe cards with instructions to make certain meals, but that is not required. Remember that if you do not like certain oils, such as garlic or ginger oil, do NOT put them on or its on your for whatever spices and ingredients you put into your bowl and then later have a bathroom issue. Choice of noodles or rice at the end.
Sometimes the wait can be long, depending on the service. Only two cooks at the time of me and my party ordering, and lots of people. But food properly cooked.
This isn't a bad restaurant, although prices are a little high. However better quality typically means better food. And it is true. Go check it out.

First time here and I loved it. Especially being able too pick out my own food and then cooking it fresh. Cody was my server and he was AMAZING!!! He has a great personality and very good service. I’m definitely coming back and I’ll be recommending all of my friends.
Wish they had drink specials, if they do I wouldn't know anything about them because I wasn't told so. Even after I had asked for a drink menu. Gentleman that serviced was good and the lady servicing the door was 😉. They even helped me out a time or two in which I appreciate. This place is always a spot I like to go to when I get a chance and I'm on my way to Richmond.
Comfortable seating inside the restaurant. Little bit darker for a lunch place. Varieties of meats and seafood to choose from. If you know how to use combinations spices and sauces, you can make a really great meal out of this. It takes practice. It took me couple of times before I mastered my favorite combination. I usually get seafood here.
I had some concerns about preparation of halal food. They well described how they cook halal food. They are using different wook. I'm %100 convinced that they are careful about halal cooking. You should pick the ingredients from halal part and also you should say that you want them to cook halal.
The bowl looks small but once all thw food is cooked its actually a loooot, super filling & worth the money 💰(about 8ish per person depending on the time)
Awesome Mongolian stir fry place. Highly recommended for those who haven't had this before and also for those who love it. If you are new, just follow the recommended recipe and you will be fine. But for other who are more experience, you don't need me to tell you anything more than what you already know and love. It's time to put your Tetris skill to work. Happy stacking!
OMG!!! Kublai Khan 💯/💯
I don't know why I took this long visit this gem. So for anyone going there first time here is how it works. You enter and they will give you a bowl. You can choose different meats from meat section(they have Zabiha halal chicken and beef available). Then you move over to vegetable section, pick your veggies and then move to spices and sauces section. Once you are done with your selection and seasoning, move to the counter and they will cook it for you. You can choose 2 sides ( I chose naan and egg noodles). They brought the food on our table in 10 minutes and it tasted out of this world. Do mention halal and they will cook it separate for you. Good ambience, very quiet and staff is very friendly. Highly recommended.
It was so good I like how you can make it own plate n pick if you want noodles or rice everything is fresh and also they have a viaraty of spice and sauce
The restaurant is clean and spacious with many different size tables of all sort. The food items/ingredients are always fresh and tasty. I really like the concept of creating your own bowl. The customer service is fairly normal, not great but not bad either. The only problem I have with this restaurant that makes me give it four stars are the cooks. Every time I come here the cooks in the back are constantly staring while I make my bowl. They're talking about me in front of me. I always feel uncomfortable or judged while making my bowl of ingredients. Weird customer service.
