Ok. How is this place not on the map!!???!!! Gojira fries, shaggy dog roll, Korean beef short ribs - all great! If you are in area give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. Each dish left me wanting more. Oh and service was excellent and the staff were super nice.
I thought this was a nice place with good sushi and ramen. I’ll admit it’s not the best I have ever had but it was still good and certainly well priced. There happy hour, friendly staff, and overall nice atmosphere makes this a place I will be coming back to in the future.
We worked up a Godzilla size hunger on our bike ride this morning. So we ventured down to Sugar Land (for non-Houstonians about 40 min ride) to Gojira Japanese Fusion & Bar. This was another winner on our hunt for new places as we eat our way through the alphabet. Jimmy started off with some Crunchy crab rolls and a Kirin light beer. I went for salted Edamame and a hibiscus jalapeño margarita.
We were off to a good start. We then shared one of their combo boxes "Chicken teriyaki" which had variety of yum-yums. We added on some Japanese chicken fried rice and Hot stone beef.
Everything was outstanding! The waitress was great too! This was a great find that I would suggest to anyone, but if you are a sushi lover then I would say you really need to try this place out their list of sushi is extensive.
On a side note the American translation of Gojira is Godzilla.

Gojira has a huge selection of foods to eat from traditional sushi to more contemporary fare like General Tso chicken, the atmosphere is very relaxing and there is no sense of pressure at all, great place to just chill.
The gojira fries and ramen were extremely delicious and while the prices are usually reflective of Japanese food it's really worth it, especially because the serving sizes are just enough to fill you but not to make you feel stuffed.
Best of all was the service, the lady was very kind and respectful we're coming back to try more foods, they even deliver!!
The waiters are quite good and the sushi is GREAT. I love the ambience and we had a long conversation with the owner/chef, a very nice man who takes a lot of pride in his cooking. This is the best sushi I've had on this side of town. Definitely worth the visit!
Happy Hour 4 to 6 (or 7 now, some nights at least). Sushi is always good and fresh and the other menu items are delicious. Been there a dozen times, now. Never a bad meal. Was crowded once and service was slow, but they were understaffed that one night.
This was surprisingly very good! We ordered fried gyoza, egg rolls, tonkonsu pork belly, spicy chicken ramen, it was all excellent. Everything had a freshness to it! All items were hot and came out in a timely manner. The best thing about the restaurant by far was the ambiance, really had a modern welcoming homie feeling. Will definitely be back again!

Great sushi and Happy hour. Love the deep fried rolls, although expect to be full they are full flavor. Tuna sushi was good as well! Will definitely be coming back when I'm in sugarland!
Food was great, service was outstanding. So happy to have found this little Jewel right in our backyard! Will be back for happy hour, $4 rolls, $2 beers from 4-7 & 9-close.
Amazing place in Greatwood! The appetizers are great starting with the Gorija Fries. Sushi is amazing they give a good portion, poke bowls are delicious, and their beef with peppers is amazing. This place is amazing
Fantastic food. Hard to find but worth it. The pork belly appetizer is fantastic. Sushi was so fresh and good we ordered more. Yellowtail is my favorite.
The waiter, i think his name was Nick, was an amazing person. He made the whole experience of going 10 times better. After that the food was amazing and it's really worth a visit!
I love the decor the atmosphere their happy hour, and especially the food they have really good Ramon and it's close to home, parking can be a little tricky and it is popular towards the dinner hours.
Love this place. Have yet to try something we didn't like. Everything taste very fresh. John Wayne roll and 5 shades of salmon are my favorite.
Loved it. The Sushi was fresh and spicy edamame was yummy! The Angry Godzilla roll will definitely be a go to roll when come back!
