This place is great. It's a Japanese restaurant where the chefs cook your food in front of you, they also do some tricks. To dine here you must reserve a table online and they require formal ware when dining, it doesn't have to be too fancy just not casual clothes. When you arrive they ask for your reservation and you are seated around 5 mins. There isn't a long wait. The tables are in groups of 8 when dining so if you come with a small party you will be seated with others. The food here is fresh, cooked right in front of you, and delicious. They happen to have milkshakes and a bowl of ice cream for dessert. The kids menu also become a hat which is pretty cool. This place also has clean restrooms are they are small. The staff here are nice and friendly, and the chefs are fun. Overall it's a great place to dine at and I would go again.

I came in on a Tuesday for lunch and unfortunately no one else came in within a time frame to sit with me, so I was alone at the hibachi table. However, I got the BEST service! Rufino was my chef and he put on one of the BEST hibachi shows I’ve seen! My steak and shrimp were perfectly cooked, rice and veggies were amazing! I got the lunch portion and it was more than enough food. Valerie my waitress was sweet and attentive. Definitely would recommend, and definitely will be back!

Went to Benihana to celebrate my husbands birthday yesterday and the food was amazing! I had the Spicy chicken and friend rice and it was delicious! Elias who was our cook was amazing! He was making jokes and you can tell he knows what he is doing! My in laws and husband loved their plates as well. I will say though that this location looks a bit outdated. On the walls some of the paper was coming off and I could see like webs at the top it was not a pleasant view. I hope they update the place more since the food and employees are amazing!

To make it clear the five stars are for TOM the benihana chef. That guy is amazing! his personality his skill set and his humor are top tier. SO We waited way too long to be seated we had a party of 10+ and the place wasnt to busy to where i actually heard a waitress tell another group "you guys came on a Wednesday perfect time theres no wait" 😦 they took so long as if they were waiting to give us two sections and ended up stuffing us like sardines at one table. It was my best friend bday so we didnt let that ruin the night. I almost slipped in the restrooms to times there was no wet floor sign. The "fresh" napkins they layed down smelled of mildew. Will i come back here not a chance!

We dined at the Sugarland location Wednesday evening to avoid a wait, I made a reservation. We were seated within 5-10min of arrival. Our waiter was very attentive and provided us with fast service. The hibachi chef was a little quiet, but he was efficient enough with providing the standard hibachi show. I noticed that the portions sizes appeared larger than the last time I ate here. The chain seemed to have cut back on the portions right after the pandemic, but I'm glad it's getting back to normal. I had the chicken and shrimp hibachi with chicken fried rice. Overall, the food was fresh and delicious. I had a birthday coupon, and the cashing out transaction was smooth compared to other birthday experiences, I have had at the restaurant. Overall, I recommend this location.

I tried the Lobster Roll, 10 out of 10, and I also got the Chilli Shrimp Roll to go and OMG!!! They were both made fresh and tasted devine!

I prefer to dine here when it's not busy. Service is friendly and attentive. I like bantering with my server, a little older Asian lady. She has a ready smile. I also enjoyed the older Asian teppanyaki chef who tosses that bowl of rice with his spatula with pizzazz. I had hibachi steak and lobster. It was delicious. My server suggested a cup of green tea which, after stuffing myself silly, was wonderfully relaxing. But then I couldn't resist getting ice cream and tempura banana. So I blew my diet and it felt fantastic.

I am highly impressed to see the chefs skills. He created a Volcanic eruption. It was amazing. The food is awesome and cooked in front of you. We can also suggest the level of hotness or spiciness we want in our food. It was a whole new experience for me. I really enjoyed it. Prices are bit towards higher node but it’s absolutely worth experiencing it. I would highly recommend atleast once.

My friend and I have a biannual tradition here at this location for our birthdays. The facility, atmosphere, and service are always top level. Don't even get me started on the food. They set the original standards for the hibachi game and continue to execute at the level only they know how.

Rufino was the best chef we’ve ever had. Me and my family have been here plenty of times, but today was our best time ever. He made us laugh, made the experience personal, instead of the regular things all the other chefs do. I definitely will ask for him when we return. And yall should too 🤭 You won’t regret it

Unique and fun dining experience. Perfect for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. Staff is friendly and attentive. Please note that there is cords contamination when the food is cooked, so if there are any dietary restrictions please make the staff aware of it. The seafood, poultry, beef, and veggies are cooked together. This location doesn’t serve pork but other might. Better to check ahead of time. Reservations are easy to make and are a good option for large parties.

High-quality food served in a cozy and charming environment. The welcome was definitely dry and minimal, but the service was way better. Be prepared for a 15-30 min on weekends, but it is worth it. Seafood tasty and juicy: recommended.

Where do I start the restaurant is very clean and well organized everyone working there is very friendly. Have been coming to this same location for the past 13 years at least twice a week service is spectacular. Jose the bartender is amazing he already has our order memorized along with our drinks. Jose goes above and beyond to serve us and makes sure our food is cooked to perfection.

The food is flavorful. A unique experience. The restroom clean and new. The dining area needs updating though. A little on the pricier side but they do have a lot of floor staff on duty to pay for. Lots of parking. Idk how it is on the weekends but we got seated right away on a weekday lunch.

The Sugar Land Benihana has never let down my family or me down. Great food and great service. Chef Rufino did a great presentation with excellent food. Ariel took great care of the whole table. We will request this great duo on our next visit!!
