Review Black Bear Diner - Suisun City

Our serve Elaina was amazing and very friendly we had an excellent experience with her. We were so pleased with the service and food was delicious. Elaine went out of her to make it a pleasant experience after sharing our negative experience at a different location. If you visit this location definitely ask for Elaina. The manager on staff was really sweet and the team is definitely a great reflection of her.

You can always count on this Black Bear for attentive service and plentiful portions! I've been to other ones in the region and they have not been as consistent as the Suisun diner has been. The service was fast and efficient, as always. Portions were large and very filling! It's also pretty close to base & convenient to stop by for brunch/lunch!

5/7/2022: The chicken tender cobb salad is to DIE for! I recommend coming here for the salad! Service was friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be coming back! 5/8/2022: Ordered to go. I ordered the cobb salad, but it was a little disappointing. Take out is lower quality and had missing ingredients (like blue cheese and bacon). I don't recommend ordering a take out. It was just sad. 5/12/2022: I dined in, ordered the same salad. The salad was delicious without a doubt and a lot better than take out, but the amount of it was half the size as my visit on 5/7. The servings are very inconsistent. I'm very confused on what's going on. I'll try again in the future, but a caution to customers -- delicious food, but there's a bit of inconsistencies going on. Will update my review when I go back in.

My friend and I went there and had a very wonderful Breakfast. The Host and waitress were both super nice and friendly !!!

Absolutely terrible experience compared to the outstanding Vacaville location. Although the staff was kind, courteous, and helpful, the restaurant is very dirty (dead bugs on the windowsills, food crumbs all over the floors) and the kitchen barely put our plates together. All five of the breakfast plates we ordered were room temperature cold. And I don't mean not warm enough, literally seems like they sat out for hours. Plates full of raw shredded potatoes instead of hash browns. The sixth member of our group ordered a fruit bowl, which had red onions, cheese, and wilted spinach in the bottom. How refreshing.

Went at lunch. Great food. Chicken avocado club and sweet potatoe fries. They make good milkshakes. Pleasant staff. Clean restaurant. Even bathroom smell good. I will try again maybe dinner.

Only 5 tables occupied, place was not clean but the kicker was the poor attitudes of all from the hostess to the waitresses. It was Mother's Day for crying out loud. We left so we could have an enjoyable dining experience.

You really should try your own food as if you are just a customer off the street... The servers are great. BBD is known for their country style cooking, awesome gravys, etc. Well the suisun location needs a new cook for the dinner menu.. Brown gravy should not fill your pkate like water and tastes like vinegar infused Au Ju.. After returning it for white gravy, that was worse! Awful. I asked the nice server to ask the cook to plz taste his food before sending it out. I heard him become rude to her instead of acknowledging a problem. She said she was only the messenger.. When she came back i asked her if i could maybe speak with him in her defense. Its not fair to your servers to put subpar BBD food. Cooks need to represent at least equal to your servers. I miss the food you served in the past...

Took us 30 minutes to get our food and our food was nasty hash browns was not done enough, I got only 1 pancake when I asked for 2, bacon � was so old like it was from last night this place is a joke my first time and last never going back there I have no idea how a place this dirty still open for business

I have never had such bad service and then we waited almost 30 min just to pay . I understand the system went down but they should have offer us something for the waiting so long . Looks like will not be coming back here . The waiter was terrible never came back to ask us how our meal was ,every time we asked for our drinks to be refilled he would forget .

We love this place. Food is always hot and fresh. Portions are huge. Service is great. If you are from back East and like Cracker Barrel, you’ll love this place.

Took 30 mins to get service..food was under cooked waitress was high and forgot about us..

Had lunch with my parents. Service was great. Food was wonderful. Had the Ruben Sandwich, plenty of meat, etc on the sandwich. Fries were good and hot. Our waitress kept our Ice Tea glasses full. Overall great experience.

Wonderful place to eat kids eat free on Tuesday big portions of food too I always have food left to take home and the desserts are amazing.

We always enjoy Black bear whether it's at home in Paradise or while visiting in Suisun. I always enjoy their omelets, my wife had the beef dip (which I always enjoy but I was itching for breakfast! ) and she had to take some home because it was so big! No complaints, always great service!

Last time I was there, I told myself I wasn't going back. Well I should have listened to myself! Wife wanted to stop with the kids and some family friends. Every order was wrong. My kids were finished before I even got my food. Not once were we asked if we needed more to drink. How do you serve a pancake, cut in half for 2 people to share, and not know it's raw in the center? Then tell a little girl that you will bring her another one and NEVER bring it out! I will never go back to this Black Bear Again. I would rather drive to Vallejo or Vacaville. If you do go, good luck!

My first time here, and Jocelyn was awesome. She really likes working here, because her customer service is excellent. She knows her customers, and that is very rare to find. These customers love her, and with her friendly smile and positive personality, this place is worth dining at...thank you Jocelyn for being you..have a great day !!!

Great service, our drinks were refilled without asking and the food was delicious and hot. Have never had a bad meal at black bear diner!

My favorite dish is the taco salad! Such good flavors and enough to take some home for another meal!

I'm easy to please. Foods hot severs make it feel like home and it's 5 minutes away from my place. This is my go to diner.

I ate the french toast and loved the slab of ham and the fresh squeezed orange juice! The bathroom was not cool. It smelled terrible, like backed up sewage. �
