This would be my "must do" if I lived in the area! Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Charming and captivating! Best pork tenderloin recipe! My wife had the tofu and dessert was great. Love it!

Friendly staff. Greeted right when we came in. Pleasant atmosphere. Seated right away with no wait even though busy. Waitress was very knowledgeable about menu items. Great recommendations from her. The appetizers were amazing, the soups made in house fresh with a many local fresh ingredients we learned as possible. Now everywhere I go shrimp is cooked decent atleast. Some good. The chef here cooked the shrimp appetizer to perfection. The shrimp was deveined, perfectly seared. Not a hint of rubber when just over done or over done, they were not undercooked and slimy. They were when I say the most perfectly cooked shrimp I have ever had, the best. Our food all came out hot and delicious. The chef had 2 special, a beautifully cooked catfish over fettuccine Alfredo and beef stroganoff. This is easily one of our favorite restaurants in Summerville. Now their desserts are not in house but from saffron's downtown Charleston. I have to say, I'm not a fan of any dessert with shaved coconut on it but the coconut cake they had there I would order and absolutely eat. I tried it and it melted in my mouth and sweet but not overly sweet. This goes wonderful with a cup of their coffee by the way.

Wow what a find. Great little house turned into a restaurant. Clean and fun vibe. Staff was awesome. Thanks Ala. I wanted something light and came in for a salad. It was fresh and great. They had anice little wine section but did not sample. May be next time. Has a porch section with big windows.

Came here for a ladies brunch. We got here a little before they opened and there was line. That's how you know they have good food. Five Loaves Cafe did not disappoint. Everything was delicious. The mimosas were tasty as well (we got Raspberry and Mango). We definitely will be coming back. What all we got: 2 different Shrimp and Grits (there was a special one came with dark gravy & mushrooms the other was with their Chorizo gravy), Southern Benny and I got the Vegetable Benny. 💞💞💞

This place was recommended to us and we loved everything about our meal. Joely was a charming and informative waitress who provided exceptional service for our very late lunch/early dinner. I adored the Shrimp Gnocchi and they were able to make it without beets and the beet reduction. Fresh, al dente green veggies (broccoli, kale, spinach and asparagus) with caramelized onions, shrimp and gnocchi. So tasty. My husband's Chicken Palliard was fantastic, again without the beets. The presentation was wonderful in both dishes. The focaccia served with the oil, balsamic vinegar and fresh spices was so delicious. We normally skip bread before meals, but this was so worth it. We enjoyed the house Merlot and a local brew with our meals on the porch. They had both fans and heaters to accommodate the weather. Keep in mind that it's a very loud location very close to an intersection with lots of traffic and a nearby fire station. Some extra landscaping or hanging baskets would make that porch setting even more charming. Plenty of seating inside this old charming house with a bar. Extremely popular place and crowds started arriving as we finished up our meal at 5:30. We look forward to going back for lunch and I highly recommend this place if you're near Summerville, SC.

I've been plenty of times. The dishes and ingredients are fairly eclectic and aren't alwaya amazing. However, you'll sometimes hit some great ones! The half roasted chicken on cilantro lime rice was one of those. Their drinks are pretty consistently good. If you are looking for vegan and vegetarian options in Summerville, I can't think of a better place!
