I went to Senso Unico on a Tuesday night when it wasn't particularly busy. There were about two or three more tables of patrons in the dining area. Great food, good service and cocktails. I’m a big dessert fan, and this amaretto tartufo was spectacular. I took bad pics, but the meatballs (moist and not bready) and pasta (firm and flavorful) were my two favs. Good portion sizes too!
Great food, one of the best spots in sunnyside, my favorite dish is the squid linguini scalpi pasta. The oysters are amazing and the owner is such a friendly person.
For dessert you should try the gelato.
One of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Authentic, house made pastas and a superb all-Italian wine list. Excellent dinner. Pasta special with linguine, lemon cream sauce and peas was excellent. Others had the rigatoni bolognese which was very tasty. Arancini was a great appetizer. Service was top notch. Very efficient and polite.
How had I not tried this place! I had seen the jazz band outside some nights and got intrigued. Had a lovely dinner and will be going back soon for sure. Service was great. Food was very good. Had the grilled octopus special and some oysters.

Update, glad to see they are still going strong with quality and service during these tough times. The Rib Eye with roasted potatoes and peppers was excellent. Pair with the Aglianico vino, trust me. Best Italian in Sunnyside/Woodside.
Placed an order from Senso Unico's catering menu for an event -- the owners were helpful, responsive, and the food was delicious. Everyone loved the food. Highly recommend!

Excellent Italian food with a flair in a comfortable setting; reasonably priced. Very nice selection of appetizers, standard menu dishes and specials and a good wine list. The owners are very congenial local people who own, operate and cook. Al fresco seating in the summer is our favorite.
