Review Bougie's Donuts & Coffee - Sunset Valley

Ryan M
My girlfriend loves donuts, and Bougie’s caught my eye when I was coming out of the mall. Popped in, was greeted immediately, and ultimately got a cinnamon sugar donut. The donut was SO soft on the inside, and the cinnamon sugar was not too sweet. Perfect with an espresso. Also, in reference to Stephen’s review below, I was in just before 3pm and they had plenty of gluten free/vegan donuts left. I’d definitely go again!

Good donuts in Sunset Valley. They have limited their shop to 2 people at a time. I was a bit bummed because you can’t get individual donuts during this time and half to buy their 1/2 dozen boxes- either gluten free or regular. The gluten free were down to the last box as we left. The blueberry donut and chocolate sprinkle were my favorite from the box. Not a fan of the lavender lemon donut. It’s a bit of a drive for me so I’d probably head back when I can pick and choose the ones I want.

I walk by when in the area employees always say hello. Thank you God bless you all. Will stop in one day. 🕊 🕊 🕊 🕊 🙏 🌎

Wow! Golden milk test horrible, the coffee is tasteless and you can’t even put the amount of cream and sugar you like, and really $3 for a donut way overprice and not that good to be honest.... a forgot no breakfast options whatsoever. $16.27 for 3 donuts 1 small coffee and the tiny mini horrible golden milk, no recommended at all

I've had good experiences here in the past but today was the last straw. (This has happened the last 3 times I've been here)They were out of all the vegan donuts by 10:30. I understand this happens but when you're open until three o'clock on a Sunday, you should be better prepared. Additionally, the place was filthy. I will not be returning and you shouldn't either.

Best donuts I have ever had and I am obsessed with donuts. I highly recommend the Blueberry. I don't typically like Blueberry donuts but they have the best one I've ever eaten. This place is also vegan and gluten free friendly.

The first place I tried a gluten free donut and won't be going anywhere else. Absolutely delicious with a wonderful texture and nice people.

I wasn't excited when I saw 'gourmet donuts'. I get sick of the same old donut flavors. Wasn't great. First and last time there. Both the cake and yeast donuts were super dry and hard.

No more frozen boxed GF donuts for me. These were by far some of the best I've had. It's a hidden gem shop and the best coffee in the south Austin area.

I (not-so) secretly live here. This place is absolutely amazing. The customer service is fantastic, the doughnuts are thick and rich and so creative, and the coffee menu is to die for. Be sure to try the lemon lavender doughnut and if you like sweet iced coffee - go off menu and ask for the "Nisa". You won't regret it.

Seriously so awesome. The drinks are delicious, coming from someone who has worked in the coffee industry for majority of their life, drinks are on point. Donuts... seriously!? So freaking good. Not overly sweet or heavy. Just great flavor. And the people are amazing, come here, eat, drink, & I promise you will love it!

Definitely worth the drive. It was some of the best donuts I have ever had. Blueberry fritter was amazing and to die for. The staff was so nice!

Batista Mike and owner Ryan were great. We had the Peanut Butter cake donut and the chocolate maple cake donut. Both were great. The coffee Cuvee red eye and the Iced coffee Horchata was the best I've had. Worth the drive from Lakeway. Thanks Ryan for being a great host. Congrats and thank you for having a great place

Not your normal gourmet donut shop...it's truly a special find! We loved the chocolate maple bacon and maple cinnamon donuts as well as the coffee and lavender latte!

Can't tell you how long I've searched for a gluten free donut that actually tasted like a donut. Alas, I have found them! Thanks to Bougies I can finally enjoy the delicious fried doughy goodness of a donut and it's gluten free! Right now they have 3 flavors and they are all amazing. Glazed, cinnamon sugar, and chocolate iced glazed. Get your butts over there now! P.S. Their coffee is superb as well.

I discovered this Sunset Valley gem days after moving to Smithville, TX from the Sunset Valley border! The red eye was perfect and the donuts, cinnamon roll and apple fritter, were top notch. I will be sure to make this a must drop in when in town spot! I also have to compliment the staff on being hip but friendly!

Went to Bougie’s on Friday and had a fantastic experience! The donuts are tasty, fresh and don’t have that oily flavor that you find in all the other local shops. The flavors are also unique and made for a hard decision on what to take home! Also had great service. Definitely going back when I’m in the area.

This place is awesome and a great place to sit and actually enjoy the creative donuts and coffee. You can tell that this place takes pride in the quality of coffee and ingredients in the handmade donuts. Will definitely be back the next time I'm in Austin!

I live in Leander, and this little gem of a donut & coffee shop was WORTH THE DRIVE!!!!!! They have "milk on tap" for my girls and divine, inspired donuts like maple with real bacon, berry with blueberries and mint crowning it, and lemon lavender with zest on too! Their straight up yeast glazed donut was fluffy and not too sweet. I love drinking locally roasted coffee and their beans are Cuvée. Go, just go!

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee with my 3 kiddos. They were very helpful in recommending a coffee I'd love and also a beverage my littles would like. The donut we had was espresso maple I believe. It was incredible! What a fun spot for a quick coffee/donut fix! We'll be back!

I was introduced to both Voodoo Donuts and Bougie's Donuts while attending a two day class for work. Bougie's Donuts is hands down the better donut. Honestly, it's the best donut I've ever had. In addition, the atmosphere is really cool and they have a very friendly staff. Great overall experience!!

Had the glazed cake donut- perfect size, soooo good! Also tried the Italian soda as I'd already had enough coffee for the day! Bright place, nice tables perfect for catching up with friends! And the donut flavors are so unique- so stop in while you're shopping in the area!
