Kareoke was great!
Turkey Sandwich & fries were good,
could've been great if kitchen would've cut out a chunk of fat on half of sandwich.
Nice evening vibe & people!
Had a wonderful time. We came to watch the baseball game and enjoy lunch. Shrimp Poboy Sandwiches, Crab stuffed Jalapenos, and boudin balls were all delicious. Beers were reasonably priced and our team won the game.
Super cool beach restaurant. The service was stellar and the atmosphere was even better. We were served quickly and the food was delish! Will definitely be back.
Drinks and food on the balcony. Friendly service, and beautiful view! Had a fantastic band playing the same evening. Me & my older kids enjoyed!

Beautiful Gulf view. Their on-line menu does this place an injustice, so much more is on the menu. It needs to be updated. Tables outside were a little sticky, and a Dang bird stole one of our calamari rings lol, but it was worth it. The view of the Gulf is stunning. Apps were calamari (very good), and oysters on 1/2 shell (good). Entrees were really good; Hubby had the Blackened Red Snapper with crab over rice with Alfredo sauce. I had the Philly cheese steak. Beef tender and toppings fresh. Drinks (Pina Colada over ice was superbly made! Hurricane was good. They have a bar inside, with tables, and a/c. Our server was sweet, and the hostess was really nice. Unless we came on the wrong day/time, this place should be packed with people. If not, management needs to do more. Recommend.
This place is HUGE. We just found out about it, so have not experienced it in their peek season. When we were there on a Sunday night, there wasn't many people. The staff was adequate, restrooms were clean and burgers were good. The only complaint I have is they do not have fountain drinks; you are served soda cans for a little over three dollars, they only have bottled water too. For that, I feel they are a little pricey because I am a gulper and enjoy my refills! Also, some staff appeared to have their family or friends dining and the children were running back and forth while they visited. We were out looking for a good hamburger and found them however, your choices are limited to three basic ones. Not sure if we will go back.
This is what you'd expect from a beach bar: very laid back and friendly. It's overlooking the beach so sit outside! The service was great. The calamari however was this thick crunchy fried breading over little slivers of calamari. It was so crunchy some pieces were like eating rocks! We intended to share an entree but after a few pieces of this breading we were full. Too bad because I really wanted to try something else.
Everything was great about this place. The pickles were the best I ever had! The food was well seasoned and fresh! Service was great! Atmosphere was chill and relaxing. Will be back asap!
On a whim we decided to get an RV spot at the RV park and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was accommodating enough to take a late takeout order and WOW were we impressed. I had never had oysters Rockefeller before and of course was apprehensive as to the texture but they were perfect. Soft and not chewy. We also got a fried oyster po' boy and an order of the pepper pasta. Everything was excellent and we went back for the Sunday brunch this morning. The staff was friendly and attentive. We plan on going back for more before our visit is over. Definitely worth the splurge and highly recommended for hungry and patient people. This food is like a work of art. You can't rush it.
The service is good. The fish and calamari are flavored well. The Rockefeller oysters we ordered are too small and tasteless covered thickly with cheese and spinach.
My favorite part about this place is their wonderful deck. Highly recommended get a sit outside if there is good weather. On this visit we decided had dinner there, just in front of the ocean and enjoy the relaxing view.
They bring us our beverages and for the food we had to wait a little bit, because kitchen was a little behind. But when you come to have dinner in front of the beach you are not in a rush at all.
For dinner I had the oysters Po Boy. As a side they give me the option between fried potatoes or onion rings, as always I picked the onion rings. My husband tried the salad with grilled chicken.
I had all the elements for a great evening: good company, nice weather, great view, beer and I touched heaven with every bite on my Oyster PoBoy.
Recommended for a relaxing evening with casual food
I do have to give this place a 5 star review and this is why; despite the fact that the restaurant and deck were packed, some items on the menu were unavailable due shortages and the extreme lack of staff due the government handouts, the 7 people working that day where absolute rockstars.
Let met start by telling you that the location is amazing. By the very shores of Beachside on the Gulf Coast the upstairs deck overlooks the sandy shores and ocean.
We ordered the fresh oysters, shrimp salad and the seafood tacos. Everything was fresh and tasty. Nothing complicated just fresh simple flavors by the beach.
We really loved it here and we looking forward to come back.
Family and pet friendly.
A neat place. We had a great lunch there!
Good atmosphere…that’s the biggest asset. Frankly, that’s why I give 4 stars. Otherwise, I’d give 2 or 3. Food is nothing special. Employees are friendly but service is inconsistent. If you’re rushed, this is not the place to go….even if there are few customers. If you want a nice view, this is a good choice.
This was our first time at Southside Beach. We went to this place twice because the service was good. The food was good. The atmosphere was just cool. Philip, Pepper, and Mae are all awesome, with very different personalities!
I don’t like seafood and I tried Red Snapper for the first time and it was good (grilled). The onion rings are very tasty and my hubby loved the Oysters Rockefeller!
