I had the Seafood Alfredo and the fried oyster strips. The scallops in the Alfredo were huge and cooked to perfection. I wanted to try the desert menu badly, but the two dishes I tried left me too full to take on anything else.
The atmosphere was very lively, as it seems like regulars come to the bar to meet and chat. That or this place attracts some of the friendliest people. Either way, it provided for an enjoyable sit-in dining experience.
I'll be back to try the stuffed and casino and to hopefully take a shoot at the desert menu.

Always a great stop if you like seafood. However, menu has quite a bit more choices since our last visit. Pasta choices plentiful. Went with haddock sandwich and onion rings. Took home enough for lunch the next day.

Super cute theme, kinda rustic and seaboard. Our waitress was great. The Provincial clams were some of the best I've had. We were drinking the leftover broth! The famous wings were tasty as well. Unfortunately we were severely underwhelmed with the entrees. The famous steak sandwich didn't say slab of steak or Philly chopped. Cheese onions etc were optional and we didn't ask so that's on us. It was chopped up Philly cheese steak style meat. The fried oysters were quite small and not really as expected. Overall we'd come back for the fresh and tasty seafood only. Half eaten photos because we dove in.

I visited this place a few times in 2020 and never left a review. Since I’m in the area I decided to give them another visit, I remember the food being pretty good. It’s still as good as it was 3 years ago. Ordered a sandwich from the special menu and it didn’t disappoint, it was as good as it looks.

Fabulous meal. Clam Bar was very busy and still the staff managed to be extremely accommodating and friendly. Ashley was our waitress, but 2 others assisted. Prices were reasonable. Portion and food quality was great. We will be back – Food was great but must say the #1 reason is staff! We only return to places that demonstrate a desire for our business…a smile and friendly attitude goes a long way. Very impressive staff.

We have not been to this place in about 10 years. We used to go here on date nights. We always got the same food so since we were in the area we decided to go back and experience some nostalgia.
We always order the same thing. This time was no exception. We ordered the award-winning New England clam chowder, salad with crumbly blue and Italian dressing, and clams provincial. Needless to say, nothing had changed and we were still impressed if not even more with the quality. Our favorite part is dipping the bread, delicious.
I should have taken more photos like usual but I was too busy being happy and enjoying the food.

Took my niece before she went back to college. Not too busy, food was good as always, wait staff was nice and polite. I feel like it's the same servers that have been there a while which I like. New England clam chowder is really good. Nice portions. Small, quaint place. Bar was nice too.

If you like Clams... This is the place. The clams were big and juicy. However both the chowder and sauteed clam sauce felt a little watered down. Still very flavorful but would have loved a little more richness in the roux. Staff was lovely and the atmosphere was great. Try this local gem for yourself .

This was not our first visit. We did take out. They do seafood well, but we haven't tried everything. Lisa says the clams in the linguini and red clam sauce were huge and delicious. I love their fish, all the dishes are good. Sadly, on this last visit the fried clams were either over done or cooked in oil that needed to be changed. Since the name of the joint is the clam bar, that was disappointing.
Lisa got the golden combo and it was all perfect, except for the clams, of course. Oh, except she wondered about the fish portion of the combo - it seemed like someone took a regular piece of fish and ripped it in half. Strange.
I got the fried haddock with onion rings and it was awesome. The fish is so light and flaky and the batter is crispy and delicious. Another minus on this visit was the delivery of incorrect salad dressing and no lemon included or offered. Not the end of the world of course, since we were at home, but if we were in a hotel that would have been a drag.
They were kind enough to provide napkins and plastic forks and knives, and they tartar and cocktail sauce was more than adequate for the amount of food served.
We paid $51 for 2 entrees and a kids meal, which is a good value for what we got, and would have been a great value (no offense Walmart) had the fried clams been done right.
There is plenty of parking and it's in a fairly busy area, right near sweetheart corners.
The bartender was friendly.

Michelle was our server and was wonderful! The food was amazing , the service lightening fast . The beer cold , the Dirty Martini perfect .. and can I just say they KNOW their clams . Everything was delicious! Would definitely be back !! HIGHLY recommend!

This was my first time and experience at the Clan Bar. The food was awesome, the waitress was awesome, the price was deep too, but not too bad. The ribeye steak, salmon, fried clams & scallops & shrimp was great🤌🏾. We also had drinks that were very reasonable. I will probably be back next week🤗.

Super slow service since they were so busy, friendly waitress, host won't seat you until your full party is there, even if you're just waiting for someone to park the car, very busy, expect dining in to take a while to get all your food! so don't come too hungry or come early before it’s too crowded.
Wings were really good, I also recommend getting the linguine with clams and it'll come with enough clams you don't need to order separate ones! The food was great but wished the service was faster.

We have been to the Clam many times and loved it ! However this time I ordered the fried dinner. I received pre breaded shrimp, scallops, clams and even the piece of fish. Nothing was fresh everything came from the freezer. Very disappointed for a place known for seafood. We will be back the service is always the best .One meal won't stop us from coming to a otherwise great place.

I’ve been coming to The Clam bar probably 30+ years. I guess that’s come to an end. We decided to invite company with us on New Years Eve for dinner and I was embarrassed. When we made reservations for dinner we were never told there would be a limited menu that night. Needless to say I got something I didn’t want, but my girlfriend and I settled for a 23.00 Prime Rib, which was flavorless and tough. The side of my dinner was mashed potatoes that were really dry. And as an appetizer I ordered steamed clams for 12.00 and they were the smallest clams I’ve seen in my life, no bigger than my thumb nail and ate them in about 2 minutes. If the food wasn’t bad enough our waitress had to be asked multiple times for drinks and bread time and time again. Now the restaurant wasn’t busy in the slightest, maybe a clue, and our waitress while we waited was sitting at bar chatting with customers and taking selfies. �. And I’m not positive, I could be wrong, but it seems the owner was sitting at the bar more as a patron then as an owner. So disappointed with our dinner and saddened at a place I frequented for many years has no direction or care for their customers anymore. If things don’t change I predict a grim future of a once well known establishment. Time for change or it will be a slow demise. �

Got a fish sandwich. Roll was toasted or grilled. Wish menu told this as I like a nice soft roll for my fish, not cooked. Took veggies for a healthy side. Tasted spicy hot. Like someone put too much pepper on them. Had them several times b4 and never tasted them spicy hot like tonight. Fish was ok but didn't have that nice fresh taste.

Stopped in on the way to the airport. Food and atmosphere is great. Had clam chowder, steamed clams and scallops. Everything tasted exactly the way I expected. You know it’s a great place when the bar is full on a Tuesday evening and everyone is happy and friendly. Thank you for the fun stop!!!

Had dinner at the clam bar for Father's Day what a great meal and the service was out standing .The clam does it right from your first step through the door till you leave looking forward to go again I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed.

Mom and I used to go here years ago and it was wonderful. We thought it would be a nice memory but the fish and fries were way over cooked and our bill was almost $30 for 2 fish dinners (and not huge pieces of fish like the fish cove or Euclid) and 1 soda - I wouldn’t go back - we were both disappointed and said it’s sad how some of things change over the years. Next time we’ll definitely go somewhere else - so much for the memory - the company was fantastic though!!!!!!!!!!
