Open late night, after the bar is always a plus, when your hungry & don't eat beef! Thinner crust, NY style pizza is my style.

Amazing when sober too. Everyone knows Nick's is great for a food night cap, but their pizza is amazing at any time of the day. No frills eating area, but the pie is so good it doesn't matter. I always have a difficult time deciding on what slices to get because they are all superb. The eggplant parm is my favorite, but as mentioned you can't go wrong with any of the options. You can also pick up whole pizzas to take home or order delivery if you are downtown.

If you're drunk, get pizza!. After a long night of drinking and staggering around... go to Nick's grab some pizza with your fellow drunkards. Pizza is cheap and good. I have never eaten there sober though.

No frills pizza joint. Tasty whether by the slice or the pie. Tomato pie was great, as was the slice of cheese and the slice of pepperoni. Friendly staff, easy street parking, kid friendly menu.

This was at the top of my list of pizza places in Syracuse that I still needed to visit, and ot was really good. There was only one guy working, which was pretty impressive, and he was just slinging out pies. He was also very friendly and apologized for the amount of time it took to get my pizza out, but it really didn't feel like that long, especially considering he was the only one working. I had a large pizza with mushrooms and peppers, and it tasted really good. It did feel like the crust at the end needed a little something to add to its flavor, but other than that, I have no complaints. Also the price of the pizza is very reasonable! I was surprised! I would come back, and I have seen that sometimes they have a Spaghetti pizza, and I would really like to try that!

Visiting from Canada and I chose a random pizza place to walk into and I'm really glad I did. Tattooed guy behind the counter is absolutely wonderful. Picks the best slice out of the pizza for you and you can tell he enjoys what he does. Delicious pizza too.

Called on 11/10 around 2pm to order hot wings for pick up . The guy that cooked my wings also rung me out during pick up and I must say the customer service was above and beyond he made sure my wings were saucy and crispy was very polite when I called and gave the same energy during pick up definitely will be back !

If you're looking to absorb a bit of local color in Syracuse's Armory Square, Nick's Tomato Pie is the place for you. It's not super clean and the menu boards were not functioning. We could hear a bit of moaning/bellowing from the other side of the dining room. No worry, though. Turns out it was just Clarence, a foul-mouthed vagrant who, we were told, considers the joint a "safe place." Clarence was under the influence, but seemed to love everyone, including me, my family, the financial advisor seated next to us and Raquel, the person in the command chair of this establishment. (I can't say enough about Racquel; she handles Clarence in a heartwarming manner, telling him to behave and returning his proclamations of affection all while just getting her job done. If there had been an impending asteroid strike, I believe she could have led us to safety. She was that good.) As for the pizza, the crust is the standout player. The pepperoni pie was somewhere between OK and a-little-better-than-OK. The poutine pizza was far superior, loaded with yummy cheese and crisp fries. I would have liked to have seen more gravy on that one, though.

Excellent pizza, service, ingredients and the CRUST! Wow - there is no comparing Nick's Tomato Pie to anything in California (or Florida) where we cone from. Ask for the spicy honey! Yes, no kidding - delicious on your tomato pie. We will be back - $30 for an extra large with toppings. Hip old tin ceilings and lively sidewalk conversation right outside. Ask for Watson to come to your table and tell stream of consciousness stories and interpretive scarf dance!

This place always comes in so clutch for late night downtown food, whether it’s after a night of drinking, working, or needing to feed a group of friends back at home — consistently dependable and reliable. The pizza is always good, the garlic knots too. This is the only place around the area that adequately reminds me of a New York slice. They run good deals during the week and are fairly priced to begin with. Staff is great, friendly and chill, they work real hard and treat their downtown community well.

This place is a zoo late night, but so fun, and worth it when its the only place open at 2 am... staff was salty and threw a bunch of pizza away in front of very hungry late night customers... a little unsure why this particular night was any different than the weekend before.

The best slice you can get at 2 in the morning in Syracuse. They get real busy on weekend nights but keep the line moving and have lots of different topping options at any given time.

I have been craving for pizza and wings, and Nick's is the BEST. I have ordered chicken bacon ranch, pepperoni, and chicken wings. Everything tastes sooo good. I also tried their Veggie Delight and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. Foods are excellent and the best part is they are affordable! Planning to have large order here for our party.

Checkered floors and chipper lighting greeted us late on a Friday night. The dudes behind the counter were friendly, helpful, and fun. It felt good to be in there, assessing the plethora of pies. Pickle pizza? Yes! One of the guys gestured to a tattooed serious-looking man; "He designed it. It's actually really good!" I got brave and ordered a slice. The green pickles glimmered beneath a thick zig-zag of ranchy sauce, and when I bit in, I tasted dill. Real dill. A real herb, complex flavors. The salty vinegar bite of the pickles spiked the rich gooey cheese and was incredibly pleasing. The crust was like a warm cloud. Well done, gentleman. Yum. Two slices and the whole bill came to under $5. Totally going back. Pizza love!

We ordered pizza, wings, and garlic knots for our holiday work party. It was a large order (6 pizzas, 80 wings, 30 garlic knots) but was very affordable with the deals they offer. We called in to order it about a week ahead of time and everything was ready right on time the day we went to pick it up (Thanks Raquel!!) All the food was amazing and the customer service was absolutely top notch. I would highly recommend them for work lunches if your in the downtown area.
