I love this place, it's bare bones but it is seriously delicious. They even let you have s margarita with your fantastic spread of tacos and tamales (or whatever you like) and the staff are friendly.

I grew up in San Diego and Albuquerque. I've traveled up and down Baja and the mainland. Been to restaurants in Tijuana where you order carnitas by the kilo.  so I am familiar with authentic Mexican food. This food is the real deal. 

On Thursdays, they serve chili rellenos that are absolutely delicious. All made by hand. Their carnitas, tamales and carne asada are outstanding. The portions are huge, so if you leave hungry you have no one to blame but yourself. 

Good stuff, very authentic and, without a doubt, the best in the the Tacoma area.

Mediocre service, great food! Came in sat down, waitress was over to us in about 5 min. Was a little long since there was only 2 tables with people. My girlfriend wanted chicken enchilada with Red sauce ( that sauce only came on the cheese one) so the waitress just added chicken to the cheese one without an extra charge. I had the molé enchilada very tasty, chicken was slightly dry but didn't take away from the dish.
