Reviews Kwang's Palace

Looking for an Asian food place on a Sunday evening in this area was challenging. Kwang’s was the only one open. The food was pretty good and average price for today’s costs. We had Mongolian beef, orange chicken and northern vegetable deluxe. Most of it was customized. All the food was correct. I wasn’t sure if they’d be able to follow all of the customizations, but they made no mistakes. I’d eat here again, if in the area.

I've had teriyaki from many places, and after this pandemic I am still ashamed of all the negative reviews out there for many of my favorite places. Kwang's Palace creates superb food and is on a list for one of my favorite teriyaki places. I will hold onto the many others that rival it down in Thurston county, but wanted to help raise the bar for this place. Someday I will share my favorite place to get katsu and hope others continue to lift other teriyaki places up too. They make great food and are very generous. I've never gotten sick and hope the great team at Kwang's Palace know they are appreciated. (I still prefer Main Chinese Buffet's chicken on a stick the most, but yours was fancy too. Maybe it's just my personal taste.) I really was hoping to try their chicken katsu, but at the very least there are good places down in thurston county too. I would proudly rep anyone who worked here for their incredible food. The restaurant industry deserves more help for all they put up with. Cheers, jt

Good food! Quick service. Recieved appetizers at the appropriate time prior to entrees. Generous serving sizes. Had the Chicken lo mein, crab rangoon, hot sour soup, wontons, chicken chow mein and mongolian beef. All very good made to order.

Amazing large portions for a great price and the food is phenomenal!! Quick, still hot and delicious after picking up and driving home. 10/10 recommend, especially being so close to base.

A 5 star rating is an easy choice here. There are plenty of Chinese food joints across WA, several of them on the same block as Kwangs. What sets them apart for me is both the quality and quantity. Lots of places charge about $13 for a small amount of entrees with rice or Lo Mein but here you get so much more in the $15 range. My go-to is a chicken combo with friend rice and I can put Chinese food down like crazy but it's 3 meals for me. With that amount one would expect a lack of quality but it beats out every other place in its price range. The teriyaki chicken it's it's very own flavor that's not generic or disappointing in any way. The same can be said for the General Tso's. The spicy level actual helps the flavor instead of being stacked on a sugary sauce. Everything tastes fresh as well, I don't get any "heat lamp vibes" from anything on the menu. Suffice to say, you cannot miss when ordering from Kwangs.
