We ran into this little gem while driving around Lake Tahoe. The food, service & atmosphere were spectacular! As appetizers, we started with fresh (colossal) oysters with traditional spicy cocktail sauce & perfect sweet mignonette sauce. We also ordered the Sampler, which came with spring rolls, gyoza & pork bao buns. The pork belly was thick & cooked to perfection. The buns also included lightly pickled cucumbers, which was a great addition. For the main course, we shared the Oso bucco pork shank with a red wine reduction. We accompanied it with a side of sautéed wild mushrooms & currants. We sat at the bar & Tara tended to us. She was the best! Great energy and super sweet. We later learned the owner was the one who cooked our dinner. Chefs kiss! CHEERS!

One of the best restaurants in Tahoe City… some tasty and unique flavors with Asian fusion. Good seafood and steak and a wide selection of drinks. Gyoza was our favorite appetizer we had here. Nice atmosphere and decor and outdoor seating with lake views during the summer months. Recommended.

Absolutely delicious! This was an amazing dinner to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. They made it extra special with a window table. Thank you for this wonderful memory!

Everything we had here was absolutely amazing. The menu is full of super creative Japanese inspired dishes. The poke cones, crab tempura, truffle fries, miso cod, filet mignon, lemon tart, and chocolate moose were all Devine. The service was fantastic as well - we came to celebrate our first anniversary and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. Our waitress was knowledgeable, had great recommendations, and provided prompt service. I highly recommend dinner here for anyone looking for delicious and unique food (and a great night out).

We have been in Lake Tahoe for a week and have been enjoying all the area restaurants. We unequivocally agree that tonight’s meal at Wolfdales was exceptional. It’s a must when you visit Lake Tahoe. We started with the Ahi Poke Cones (OMG), next the Ahi&Hamachi Sashimi, then the Pumpkin Soup and the Arugula Salad. All were phenomenal. Then I had the Seared Ling Cod entree. Superb! My husband had the Filet Mignon. We absolutely loved the entire meal!

Delicious food in an intimate dining room. Started with a tasty pear “Elevation” martini coupled with ahi tuna cones (wasabi cream in the tip). Yum. Followed up with gyoza starter with a ginger sauce. My main was a Thai seafood stew in a coconut milk. Mildly spicy and delicious. Dessert was a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and meringue. Very attentive and friendly service. Come at sundown for Mountain View!

Nice restaurant with ample parking in front and the side. I'd say best seats in the house are on the outside patio, on the second floor, to see great views. The bottom outside area is nice also, especially the fireplace table in the corner, underneath trees. Asian fusion, I was impressed by their tempura oysters and poke cones. Entrees were pretty good. Appreciate them accommodating an elderly member in my party who couldn't get up on the high chairs, so they moved us to another table. Waitress was attentive and charming. Nice place to walk on the docks just a few minutes after to burn some calories after a large/ heavy meal.

Wolfdale's is simply the best restaurant in the North Lake Tahoe region. The food is amazing and the service is top-notch. We have been going to this restaurant during our annual visits to Lake Tahoe for over a decade. Tonight's dinner did not disappoint. I highly recommend it.

Wolfdales is in the top 1% of restaurants. Our local favorite for special occasions. Very casual, very good service, food and presentation. It's spendy but not astronomical. You can not go wrong in ordering absolutely anything on offer. Go ahead and challenge the bartender if you think you can. I had their special mezcal cocktail before dinner. Very smokey and exotic. I asked for something off the menu after dinner, a cafe correto. It was perfect. King salmon in cedar paper was melt-in-the mouth delicious. As was the scallop entree. Reserve a table or eat at the bar. You cannot go wrong.

We were here for a bachelorette party dinner and it was incredible!! The wait staff was very attentive, and the food was even better. The experience was one of the best we’ve had in Lake Tahoe so far!!!

Cute spot. Asian slant to many decadent dishes. Bit pricier but worth the splurge. Sadly, due to so much snow, I couldn't see the lake.

I love to cook and have taken many high level cooking classes in NY and internationally. I have been eating at Wolfdale's for almost 35 years. In that time, every dish at each meal has pleased all from little kids to all adults we have brought there. Wolfdale's never disappoints. Each part of every meal from greeting to departure has been a real treat, without demolishing my budget

Best fine dining in Tahoe City... The smoked trout, watermelon gazpacho and braised short ribs are always delicious. The bar no longer does happy hour but the burger and truffle fries are favorites. The staff is super kind and obviously takes pride in making sure you leave happy and satisfied.
