This was my first time here. Earlier today, my coworker came back to work with a salad and suggested that I try you guys out. I ended up trying the Walnut salad. It was good. The next time I try it, I may try a different dressing. The balsamic vinegar overpowers it a little but but I ate the whole thing. The customer service was extremely pleasant!! The young guy at the front desk was extremely polite and courteous. There were 2 older women up front giving out the orders. They were working very hard. Thank you for a very pleasant first time, I will try a sandwich next time.
Hopkins Eatery holds a special place in my heart, as it has been a part of my life since my days as an FSU student.
The menu at Hopkins Eatery is wide and varied, offering something for everyone. But let's talk about the salads - they are an absolute winner! The Black Bean Grilled Chicken salad, with its flavorful feta, juicy tomatoes, and the delightful balsamic vinaigrette, never fails to satisfy my taste buds. My dinner companion was equally thrilled with the Cashew Chicken salad plate - a delightful treat in every way.
Vegetarians will find themselves spoiled for choice, as Hopkins Eatery has an array of delicious options just for them.
I must say, each visit to this local Tallahassee spot has been nothing short of delightful. Not only is the food consistently delicious, but the warm ambiance and friendly staff add to the overall experience.
Hopkins Eatery has been a witness to many great memories in my life, and I'm sure it has done the same for many others. It's a place where the past meets the present, and every visit feels like a reunion with an old friend.
OH MY GOD! This is the must go to local place in Tallahassee. For over 30 years I have been going here. The selections on the menu is so vast! Every sandwich is amazing. The Salads are fresh, and super good. The daily soup is always fresh and fantastic. Don't get me started about the mint tea. Now, let's talk about the desserts. Every cake is over top! and the bars are a staple in my life. Do yourself a favor, meet me at Hopkin's eatery!
Hopkins makes a seriously good lunch. We frequently get their sandwiches and salads. Even if there is a line at lunch, it moves fast and is worth the wait.
Their mint tea is a well-known favorite and the dessert bars on the counter are not to be overlooked!
I love the tea. The sandwiches, soup and salads are delicious, same with the desserts. One can eat healthy here. The atmosphere is great and relaxing and service is top notch! My favorites are Med Tuna salad, most of their soups, the Guac, and for an occasional dessert a Congo bar.
Been a customer since I ate my first banana and peanut butter sandwich way back when! Yesterday had the Linda sandwich, potato soup, and a Congo bar and sweet tea!
It's always fantastic.
Can't wait to go back.
Absolutely the best salads in town!! But I need to clarify, the SE Capital Circle shop is the one to visit. I went to another location / Market Street, out of convenience and quickly learned my lesson. The Market Street salads were half the size of Cap. Circle and didn’t taste fresh. So, again, if you want a great salad go to Hopkins on CAPITAL CIRCLE SOUTHEAST!
The grilled chicken sandwich on Poppy seed bread is my favorite bedsides the chicken Tetrazzini, I didn't even know I like mushrooms!
All is freshly made to order. Just good.
I've come here during my lunch break a few times. Ordered 30 minutes ahead most of them, but I've still ended up waiting 10-20 minutes for my food when I get there. Definitely not the place for a short lunch break during lunch rush.
I love their cuban sandwich though. It's delicious. Desserts are also super tasty. The food in general is great. Definitely worth visiting this face if you aren't in a rush.
Also for the 3 other people on the planet who are picky about their drinks, their fountain drinks taste really weird. Both times I've gotten a drink it's been tossed.
Food is very good. The portion sizes are large, and the quality of the ingredients is impressive. My two complaints are the speed of service and the atmosphere. It took about 20 minutes to get our food during our lunch break. The atmosphere was dated at best. Walking in makes you feel like you have gone back in time. Overall, a good place to grab something decently healthy and decently priced.
Food is absolutely marvelous! Desserts are homemade and you can definitely tell. The staff listen to what you were saying and answer you when you have questions. The restaurants are clean and you never have to ask for lemons or condiments because it's always full. Prices are very good and the service is great!!! A must see if you travel through Tallahassee!
Ultimate turkey..always good! And all staff masked. A caring establishment that has been a constant Tallahassee staple for a great lunch. Soup is homemade and a favorite. Desserts are tasty too. Everything is good!
Hopkins Eatery has a diverse and unique menu. The food is always fresh. Their soups are perfect for cooler days. Their salads and sandwiches are perfect for warmer days. They offer daily specials if you want to try something new. And they have the best dessert bars and cakes.
My daughter treated me to a light meal and was in high favor of this establishment. I loved it! The decor was perfect. My meal, the soup and sandwich I chose from the special of the day was very flavorful, and the customer service was excellent! I will return.
