The only place in town for your bakery needs. They have done several events for our family from wedding to birthdays and the service is always above and beyond! We literally get a cake from them like once a month. Cannot recommend them enough.!
The first time I walked into the Tasty Pastry in 1976, it was a tiny shop located on W. Tennessee Street. I knew this place was extra special once I tasted their pastries. In all those years, the main thing that has changed is its location. I was mad at first that Tasty Pastry moved north of I-10(many years ago), but I understood that because of demand the shop needed to move. Tasty Pastry is a REAL family owned bakery of the highest caliber. The family is the best as are their treats.
Tasty Pastry has always been there for my family. We have always had wonderful service and excellent customer service. Quality from my wedding to my children's birthdays or special occasions they have always come through with providing beautiful and delicious cakes and pastries. I recommend them to all.
We used Tasty Pastry for our wedding. The staff was very helpful, artfully creative, and most importantly, the cake was amazing. I've recommended them several times since. Even though I live on the opposite side of the area, we make sure to get some of their other goodies, like birthday cake and king cake. Never had a bad experience.
Tasty pastry was awesome. We had ordered custom 80th birthday cake from another baker back in October. Needless to say 10:30 night before party next day at five. The baker canceled our order due to personal issues. Tasty bakery saved us at last minute with a semi custom basic sheet cake. Thank you so much. I will definitely come to you for future cakes

Whenever we go through Tallahassee we stop at the bakery and buy pastries, bread, cookies and bring them to wherever we are heading. On our way home we will stop and buy and bring it to our house. We have been stopping there for many many years. The owners and staff are so friendly and nice. We will be passing through on our way to Virginia to visit our son and his family in a couple of weeks. We will be stopping at the Tasty Pastry Baker.

We just had a great experience with Tasty Pastry that I wanted to share! I called 5 days before my event with an unusual request: I needed a first birthday smash cake that was ALSO a gender reveal cake for our new addition. I wanted the cake itself dyed to reveal the gender, not knowing if our one year old would smash enough to show a colored filling. We of course also ordered a regular birthday cake for the rest of our guests. The woman who took my order was patient and helpful and confirmed everything with me twice to make sure they got colors and spelling correct. And y'all - that cake was probably the best white cake I've ever had. Everyone loved it and when my one year old smashed her cake it revealed a beautiful pink cake inside - another girl! We would highly recommend Tasty Pastry and will use them again next year!

My husband and I have heard of Tasty Pastry, but never actually visited their shop. Walking in, there was a large selection of sweets to choose from. Our intent was to go in and select an assortment of sweets to try. We bought several cookies, a few brownies, and a few jumbo cupcakes. The price was a lot cheaper than expected, which was great! Customer service was helpful and nice. The young lady surprised us with her memory, since we ordered quite a bit. We were impressed. The cookies were deliciously moist and soft. Perfect! My husband liked the brownies, but I felt they were a bit lacking with some of the ingredients. For example, I felt there should have been more cream cheese and nuts in two of the variances, while the marshmallow one could have had more graham cracker to balance it better. The cupcakes were tasty and the frostings were an overload of sugary goodness. Although the cupcakes were a little dry, the frosting made up for it. I did try the hummingbird cupcake and that seemed more moist then the others we had gotten. Even though there were a few hits or misses, this was a quaint sweet shop I wouldn't mind visiting whenever traveling to that part of town.
I called to report a concern and spoke with the manager. She couldn't have been more wonderful. She listened, treated me with understanding and concern and I hung up feeling so wonderful about the situation. When I arrived several days later to pick up my cake she and the owner met me and gave me a gift card for my troubles. I couldn't believe how kind they were and I wanted them to know how appreciative I am. I have been shopping there since the 1990's and I am a client for life! Thank you 😊
When it was time to order a college graduation cake-FSU Spring 2022, I went with Tasty Pastry. I am not local to Tallahassee, so I did what most would do, I did an online search "top 10 best bakery in Tallahassee". Tasty Pastry was one of the top 10, I did some reading on their history, and just went for it without a back-up plan. Not only did I communicate via their website, I also made a couple of phone calls. I worked with Kristina on the order and everything was flawless from beginning to end. She answered all of my questions and was such a delight to work with. The graduation cake was exactly what our son wanted, it was so delicious and the price was just right! We also picked up some cinnamon rolls, those were the big and so good as well! Next time I am in Tallahassee, I will definitely be visiting Tasty Pastry. Great desserts, breakfast items and customer service was superb!
I came in today for the first time and was helped by Skylar. She was extremely helpful with helping me choose which cookies I wanted to purchase. She was very knowledgeable on the items and helped me find exactly what I was looking for! She was very nice :)

We ordered assorted cupcakes and a small cake just for us for our wedding and they were AMAZING. We went in to place our order and the person assisting us was extremely professional and made everything perfect!

This is a week to support local businesses, and Tasty Pastry Bakery is one of those. They have anything you can possibly imagine and more. Casseroles, cakes, and everything in between. I have a number of favorites, but they include everything I have purchased. Very reasonably priced. It's in Market Place and that is confusing by itself, but is next to Little Paris and Jersey Mike's.
