WOW. I play a lot of golf . This course is almost perfect. The greens were not cut the same. So, my only issue with the course is that the greens are inconsistent. The staff, incredible. Value for the money, incredible. Very good experience. I will play here any time I am in Tally. Highly recommend!
A gorgeous golf course with rolling hills and beautiful vistas, ancient oaks, a great pool. friendly staff that make you feel like family and reasonable membership costs. Our family has grown up at Capital City Country Club.
My favorite course in Tallahassee. Holes # 10 and 11 are two great back to back holes.
Great golf course near Tallahasse.
Friendly atmosphere, but the pool area is in need of a major renovation. Pool itself did not look too clean -looking forward to some improvements! My husband loved the golf course, which is just beautiful! Other than the pool, seems to be a great place! Follow up to this post: I talked with general manager and they have great plans for the pool. Each year they are budgeting for more and more improvements. Doing a fabulous job. The course is amazing, and I’m looking forward to the big improvements they are planning for the pool for next year. Definitely happy that we joined!
We attended a luncheon for TBA to show appreciation for Tallahassee's legal staff. The room was very nice and the grounds are kept up well.
I was surprised by the shape the fairways were in for the middle of winter. And the greens were the best I’ve played in Tallahassee. Near flawless. The course was clean, the track was challenging but fun, the pace of play was good and price was reasonable (in my opinion). Staff was very friendly and although its near a neighborhood, it’s not crammed between houses like Southwood.
My only critique for this course, the reason I’m not giving it 5 stars...lack of water. Call me crazy, but water hazards, if anything, add beauty to a course. Not to mention add to the challenge. Nothing as satisfying as hitting one over the water and landing it safely on the other side. I counted one, maybe two hazards. That’s just not enough (again, in my opinion).
Aside from that, an all in all good course.
Nice golf course but gets crowded over the weekend. Location is great. Close to downtown and most residential places around Parkway. It is taken care of and staff if friendly! Look for deals before you pay the full price. So nice out at Myers Park and makes playing golf much better.
As a one time guest there to watch my granddaughter with her swim lessons I can say the pool area is nice, clean with plenty of seating and shade. I do have to say that I had to use the restroom at the pool and that isn't handicap capable. Toilet to low and No Handicap Bars. Very hard for a woman with physical disabilities to get down and up off the toilet. I'm betting that since you're a private business you are exempt, but shame on you not being proactive.
I was the Dj for a 70th birthday/Retirement Party and everything was great. The server's were nice and friendly, and they kept the food coming. I would recommend this facility.
What do you look for in a Country Club? Beautiful well maintained golf course and tennis facilities, efficient well staffed Pro Shop, well managed club with excellent staff, friendly congenial members, convenient location, affordable. Capital City CC is all of the above and, more! We are happy members!
Great private club. Most new members seem to be 25-35 yrs old, and the seasoned members are all good people - friendly and kind. Staff is wonderful. It's a relatively laid-back club that clearly has pivoted in the right direction to attract both "millennials" and "boomers"; plus families and all good folks who want to have fun and relax. The course is beautiful and demands reverence. It's unlike 99% of Florida golf courses in that the designers in the early 1900s prioritized player strategy over power. There has been a lot of time and money invested into the club and its course over the past two years, and it's clear things are only going to get better.
Course is in excellent shape! Keep up the good work.
Extremely nice layout, in the middle of Tallahassee. 8/10
Great older course, right in the middle of town. Nice elevation changes and an interesting layout. Kept up very well, always beautiful out there. Greens are consistent although generally not considered fast.
I've been a member for over 9 years, so I'm biased. You will be first surprised by the natural terrain of the course and magnificent century oaks and pine trees like you see at Augusta National. Currently, we are open for public play being listed as a private course. Currently, the course conditions are the best as senior members attest since they have played it since their youth. The course has evolved with various architects and time, including A.W. Tillinghast, who while working for the PGA during the Great Depression, designed 9 holes, re-designed the original 9 holes. It is a course has holes you will remember
We have been to a number of golf courses in the Tallahassee area and this one has been the best. You can get some deals if you go through one of the golf apps like Supreme Golf, Golf Now (charges a convenience fee) or TeeOff. People there were very friendly.
