We stopped in for a late lunch / very early dinner so crowds would not be the issues
Great atmosphere with friendly service.
The menu was packed with so many mouthwatering options it made it hard to choose
We starter with the beef tenderloin tips, cooked to perfection with amazing flavors. The texture of the baguette with the beef tenderloin was amazing.
For our main course we had the scallop dish and the crab stuffed shrimp. The scallops had an intense flavor. Delicious.
The crab stuffing was perfect with the shrimp all of which was smothered in an incredible cream sauce
I highly recommend this establishment
Amazing I went here for brunch on Sunday and they have 15$ bottomless mimosas! The food was amazing and the staff was super helpful and fast. I’ll be back. I recommend the Hawaiian sushi roll and the lobster steak eggs Benedict
This is a very nice upscale eatery located in Westchase Subdivision. Pleasant relaxing decor. We went with the Rock Lobster Pasta and CousCous dishes. Both were very good. Their menus are iPads so it made for easy ordering. Overall very good experience. Parking is a challenge.
Visited Friday with the family, I thought the location was nice despite difficulty in parking. The restaurant was clean and very aesthetically pleasing. The drinks were strong, although the apple cider Sangria taste like cheap riesling, the mule was good. The panko Mahi was well seasoned, pasta perfectly adente Fruiti de mar, delicious. A good children's menu for adventurous and not so adventurous eaters. Bon apetite.
Unfortunately inconsistent. We loved everything we ordered the first time we came, second time (with some overlap in dishes) it was all a bit disappointing. Scallops were only seared on one side, and the Seabass dish just seemed to be missing on overall quality that we noted the first time there. Service was kind of a rush. We fairly early at 6 o’clock, but it was quite empty in the dining room though noisy from the bar. Might try again but not soon.
Dined here twice this weekend. Once for dinner and then brunch the next day. Both meals were absolutely delicious! Service was attentive and the tables and booths were comfortable. The food was served very timely and I highly recommend going for weekend brunch.
First visit and it was amazing. Lexi was the perfect server, so kind, informative and prompt. Food was excellent and cocktails even better! Burrata appetizer was a favorite. Salmon Lobster Tempura sushi roll was delicious!
We visited last Saturday night although we have not heard good reports of food and service since the remodel. We entered a very empty restaurant for our 7pm reservation and was greeted by an extremely noisy bar area. The hostess has very accommodating and sat us on the opposite side of the restaurant away from the bar so we could hold a conversation. During our visit it quieted down so may have just have been game viewing. Our waiter brought us menus which were iPads along with a printed list of that day's specials. My partner had a hard time using the iPad as not intuitive but I was able to navigate the menu and appreciated the accompanying photos.
Our waiter brought 3 rolls and ice water soon after being seated. We ordered drinks and were pleased with them. The calamari appetizer was average at best and would not recommend and apologize for the half eaten photo. Our entrees were stellar , delicious, fresh and at the correct temperature. The Brown Butter Scallops and Black Grouper. The fish portion seemed larger than the 5 ounces stated on the menu and the rice and vegetables was a good portion. Received six scallops in sauce with a side and the entree was delicious but needed rolls to fill out. Our waiter did check back periodically but when requesting additional rolls the never received so asked again and then came out with one roll stating the oven was full of entrees and found that explanation odd. The decor is modern and stark, many more tables than before the remodel. We were there at a slow time and wish there was a wall separating the bar from the restaurant table as very noisy upon entry. The three drinks were average to low price $30 total and with the one appetizer and two entrees before tip was $116 and change and about $150 with tip.Even though this is in our neighborhood and we like to support local businesses we would rather drive to other seafood places either for the entertainment, better atmosphere or view, and larger portions with leftovers for the same or lesser cost. I would most likely visit again for a quick drink and appetizer in the bar.
Nice little spot. We didn’t have a lot of time before we had to be at an event, so we decided to try this place out. Our waiter Zach had great recommendations, was very friendly and helpful. The food was decent, I wouldn’t call it high class but it’s not bad for some quick seafood. We were not impressed with the banana foster bread pudding.
I just left this place. The area is super nice, the staff (all of them) were super friendly and professional and the food was very good :)
Will definitely come back!
Dinner was yummy had the Meyer lemon salmon with asparagus n my friend had a NY STRIP with roasted Brussel sprouts n potatoes we love the appetizer crabcakes ..Great atmosphere n ambience . Server Lilia is extremely informative..all the staff were friendly ..would come back here again ..
Went for a solo brunch on a Sunday and sat outside. Chloe was my server and she was awesome and fast! I had the crab and shrimp omelette which was delicious. There was live music and the atmosphere was great.
I had been wanting to try here and I was excited when I heard that Catch Twenty Three was participating in Tampa Restaurant Week. First let me start by saying that I am not sure if it is fair for me to review it for the first time during an event. We understand that it is not easy to be preparing a special, separate, menu along with the regular menu during busy dinner hours. So please keep that in mind while reading my review and know that we will be going back to give it another try because we LOVE the atmosphere and Jordan our server was the best!
Now onto the food portion of this review. I am only giving it 4 stars bcs the food was just ok. I ordered from the restaurant week menu (a preset menu for $58 with 2 choices to choose from in course one and course two). My husband ordered off the regular menu. I started with their Sunset Cosmo (Yummy) and the French onion soup (regular menu). It was flavorful, not over powered by to many onions, and had lots of cheese which come on we all know that's the best part LOL It was one of the best I have had in a while! For my course one item off the special menu was the crab stuffed mushrooms. To my disappointment it was way more stuffing than crab. As you can see by the picture I took it apart and could barely find a bite. On top of that it had NO flavor not even the mushrooms :( For my second course I had the sesame seared tuna and shrimp. Again I was disappointed. It was Aesthetically pleasing and great for a photo but the tuna was over cooked and so dry. I could barley get down one bite. The best thing on the plate were the 2 shrimp. For my third course it was the banana foster. I am not a dessert person but it was REALLY good and I would order it again.
For my husband's dinner off the regular menu he ordered the mussels... the broth was yummy with the bread but the mussels themselves left something to be desired. Half of them were uneatable. While waiting for my food to come he ordered the Caesar salad which was just ok. Nothing great about it to make him order it again. Not much flavor in the dressing. He also ordered the lobster tempura roll minus the salmon. It was also just OK not a lot of flavor and if you can tell by the pictures not a lot of lobster either. It's like once they took out the salmon they didn't think replace it with a little bit more lobster just to give it some more meat. Now at this point I am feeling really bad for my husband because he has not enjoyed anything. Next her orders the Margarita flatbread pizza. This... this one was a winner!!! I did have a bite and it was delicious! He also enjoyed and help me eat my dessert.
Even with our food experience during this visit we will go back and give it another try. I think we should always give restaurants a few tries before we make are final decisions. So many things can factor into an off night. one thing I can promise you is that you will not be disappointed in the cocktails, service and vibe!!! It is also best to make reservations for they do get very busy!!
Livinthefoodielife and Livinthefoodielife4u .. salute ... Pura Vida and Biba Dushi !!!!
I've heard good things about this place but my experience after 3 visits has not been stellar. Food quality issues like warm sashimi several years ago to bad lobster last night...which was replaced after the meal was over and then it was just so so. The drawn butter was bland. The mushroom rissotto was very nice.
All sides were a-la-carte with our lobster. The scallops were ok, bit overcooked and not well seared. On paper this place should be better than it is and I've heard people who loved it. For me however, it has not been anything special. As for service, the greeters looked like deer caught in headlights but the server was attentive and courteous.
I have been here several times. Neighborhood restaurant vibe, recent renovation and decor. Outdoor and indoor sitting available. They have burger, sushi and steak nights. I have tried burgers and most time fries is hot and fresh ( they need to make it more persistent) 😁
Caribbean inspired cuisine and a variety of appetizers are in the menu. Price and size of the meal are reasonable. Overall I recommend. 👍🏼
