Omg, that was the best meal I have had in a long time. I had the Mar y Tierra... such a tender cut of meat with delicious shrimp. A chimichurri-like "sauce" available to top it off. I drank a tasty sangria. My husband had the Pescado a la Chorrillana, which was also delicious. You get large portions as well...a good value. I highly recommend this place. This is the kind of place you come to relax and enjoy a meal... no hurry.

The staff is often rude but the food is always great! Tonight though the staff was friendly and the food was again excellent. The ambience is nice and I love the new menus. It seemed like the price increased but it is still worth it for the amount of food you get. I wish they would bring more bread to the table, I would suggest a bread basket with enough rolls for for more that one serving. I might be just greedy but the warm bread and butter is so good, I always want more. I hope they get more choices at the bar. Right now it’s beer and wine. Sangria could have been stronger it was very watered down. Overall, I had an awesome meal and I always return and recommend this place.

The food there is amazing. We took some friends from out of town and they couldn’t believe how good the food was. Most of us had the skirt steak and it’s delicious. Their black beans have the best flavor. And their plantains are perfect.

Where’s Rosie? Gracias to my really good friend Nicole V. for getting me an open door to “El Puerto” this is a real “American Dream” story, it should be featured in many media outlets. I am honored and Blessed to be able to provide my services and knowledge to an open minded staff and owner. The icing on the cake is that I get to try every single dish. One of my “Favorites” is Chupe de Camarones. “El Churrasco” is a must have-Rosie Paulsen aka Roadrunner (El Correcaminos beep beep)

An amazing meal. Especially if someone says, "I am so hungry I could eat a cow" stop by for huge portions, great staff and a full (literally rolling out) belly.

Went for early lunch on a Friday, so had the place to myself. Had the mini-sampler...everything was outstanding. Plan to go back and try everything on the menu.

So the food was good, nothing amazing or authentic. Service was simple nothing too friendly nor rude, it was right in between hard to explain but we didn't feel welcomed, maybe because there were only two waitresses on a Saturday night. Food took a while but was hot and it wasn't bad at all. I give it 4 stars because the service was slow and somewhat basic. We'll try another day of the week maybe when it's not too busy.

If you like shrimp you have to try the grilled shrimp from this place, soooo good with so much flavor. Also would recommend the steak meals they have, all are good especially with the chimichirri sauce. Sangria was good but weak and service was okay.

The best decision I made for my wedding was hosting the ceremony and lunch reception at El Puerto! The owner and staff went above and beyond expectations to deliver for our wedding! Every single guest made sure to tell us how much they loved the Parrillada Argentina meats and Aji de Gallina (chicken stew)! Everyone local plans to return again because of how good the food was! Thank you for making our wedding day such a memorable one!!!! (No pics of the food because it was THAT good!)

First time going here. It’s off the Main Street and has its own parking area no charge. Clean , quiet. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food was excellent. The meat was cooked perfectly and my husband said his ceviche was fabulous. I had sweet plantains and yellow rice as sides. Delicious. We will definitely return.

Great food and good service. Dessert was also really good. They get busy for dinner but worth the wait. Portions are huge! Everything is very delicious.

The food is amazing and they give you big portions, the place is clean; the only problem is that the don’t have enough people working so if the restaurant is full you may have a long wait; the ceviche it’s super tasty

When I’m craving for grilled meats, El Puerto is definitely my go to place. Tonight’s meal starts with a warm bread then shortly after came the main course - Chuletas a Caballo : Grilled pork chops, fried eggs, and a side of arroz amarillo (yellow rice) and maduros (sweet mature plantains). It did not stop there as the generous serving of chimichurri and hot sauce complemented the meat. This meal surely satisfied my cravings along with the nicely chilled sangria. If you are around this area, make sure to check them out. (I also go here at lunch and so far they have been consistent). Thank you to AJ for tonight’s service. 🍽️👍

Authentic and delicious. Waitress was attentive. Only downside was the restaurant’s emptiness, but to be fair we came in at 12:30pm for lunch and not dinner.

Excellent South American restaurant specializing in Peruvian and Argentinian cuisine. Extensive selection of food options. I especially like the wide variety of seafood items. Nice selection of South American beer and great Sangria. Parking available across the street for dining guests.

I ordered the lomo saltado which I haven't eaten for years, and it was even better than I remember. Absolutely delicious. And it was so much that I was able to have the leftovers for lunch the next day, and they were still delicious even reheated. The ambiance is fine, the service was prompt, and the food was fire. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

The best kept secret in Tampa. They have the largest portion size for food. Food was also great and so was the service.

Great little spot. Food is good. Service was on point. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Came on a Tuesday night so it wasn’t super busy, but it was the lowkey quality dinner I was hoping for.

Churrasco. One of my favorite meats. Want some? Visit El Puerto. The original cut, no slight of hand, cooked how you choose and delicious. The menu is a smorgasbord of traditional Peruvian and Argentinian fare. Can't wait to get my mitts on some of the seafood soup and rice. I had their blood sausage (morcilla) and it was amazing. So many tempting delights, my only regret...how did it take me so long to find. In the back recesses of Ybor, where one seldom travels, it's across the street from Jimmy's Tacos. They also have free parking across the street. Reviewer note: Skirt steak in Florida is going through some unpleasant manipulations. It started in latin groceries where a cheap cut called flap is being passed off as skirt. Outside skirt is the best cut, inside skirt follows and then flap meat. Be aware of where you get your churrasco, and make sure your not cheated.
