Best tasting Italian food I’ve had in a long time. Unassuming Italian restaurant in a strip mall and the food was delicious. I had chicken my wife tried the salmon. Both were prepared just right. We even had room for Lemoncelllo dessert! Service was quick and the place neat and clean.

This place was recommended from a friend and my husband and I were a little nervous when we pulled up for date night but were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent, especially the sauces, probably the best we’ve ever had. We went on a week night and there were very few people there so the server was very attentive and the food was made to order. The server did say they get very busy on the weekends so definitely try to go on a week night for the best experience. I would 100% call this a hidden gem and will definitely be back!

The lemon cake was bright, light, delicious! The food really was as pretty as the pictures. Intimate non-chain family owned Italian restaurant with very nice live piano music . Reminded me of places I have been to in Italy. No, the service was not fast. Just like in Italy. If I want fast food I would go to a fast food restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed having a non-rushed, bountiful, relaxing meal.

The penne a la vodka was amazing! Live music concert pianist, Jose was fast and gracious to serve us. The restaurant has a really homey feeling, complete with a classic decor that ties it all together. We will be back again soon!!!! All the dishes are delicious, the chef's experience really comes through on each dish. We can't wait to savor the next one.

Lunchtime is great. I think the portions are a bit too large for lunch if you consider that a problem. Overall, I was quite impressed with the unassuming restaurant. The location leaves a bit to be desired. The food was good. I can't say outstanding however. I had the item of the day which was a beef ravioli with cheese tortellini and bolognese sauce. There were four normal (1 inch square) sized ravioli and the rest was tortellini. The price was great (around $15) for a small salad, pasta and a soda. I will be returning to try something new.

Gio’s is a hidden gem for delicious, home style Italian food in central Tampa. It gives a nostalgic dining experience, complete with authentic sauces and hearty portions. I highly recommend their protein dishes, such as chicken or shrimp, as it is always drenched in the creamiest of sauces. It is perfect for date night or dinner with the family. I am never left disappointed any time I come here.

This is a good Italian restaurant. With the Pandemic social distancing and masks are the Norm now. I ordered the lasagna and while I waited the waiter brought out warm baked bread and hard butter. The portion of the lasagna was less than I expected and read them red sauce it was Orange. The food was good just not the type of Italian I am familiar with. The owner played piano while we dined. Service was good and he filled my water whenever he got close to empty.

Love this place. Great Italian food, if you don't see it on the menu, ask and they will prepare it for you. Love the atmosphere too. We went on a weekend and they had live piano, lot of Sinatra which was perfect. Just enough hominess but still feels upscale. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Tampa.

We really enjoyed our night here. The only thing stopping it from five stars was the wait (15 mins after we sat we got to order drinks and only 3 tables with people at the time) but after that things moved along smoothly. The food was excellent and the server was friendly.

This was a nice little restaurant. Fresh bread and big glasses of water with friendly service. Friday night had a gentleman playing piano, and he was great. Chicken dish (couldn't spell it if I tried) was delicious. Prices were reasonable. A couple of non-wine drinkers can easily get in and out for $50. Would definitely go back.

We stopped in here on a Saturday night after leaving another restaurant who had a 1.5 hour wait. At first glance it is just like any typical restaurant in a strip mall however once you are inside you feel like you are visiting the home of some distant relatives in Italy. There is a piano tucked in the far corner, almost so that you would not notice it. The piano music is a nice touch to dinner and was quite relaxing. The food was not like your typical chain Italian restaurants and tasted amazing. Freshly prepared and service piping hot! I can still taste the dessert, a Tiramisu, almond not coffee. Unique, moist, and way too small. Seriously, it was a generous sized piece but I could have eaten the whole cake! Amazingly enough, the coffee was superb, even at 9:00 pm. The second best part of my visit was the iced tea. It tasted fresh brewed and didn't need any sweetener. I will definitely be going back soon.

Took my coworkers out for our Christmas party. Service was great. Food exceptional! Didn't feel rushed because they needed our table. A nice ambiance with the piano player.
