At least once a year, I fly into Tampa on my way to Zephyrhills. By the time Chris and I arrived, we were hungry -- really hungry. So, we headed to Loving Hut. Unfortunately, though, Loving Hut was closed this day and I really wanted a vegan meal before heading to a non-vegan-friendly place. We hit Yelp and found Trang Viet Cuisine and I'm so glad we did! Trang Viet Cuisine is a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant that has been in business for nearly 20 years. It is not a 100% vegan restaurant, but it is incredibly vegan friendly boasting four pages of vegan options to choose from! I was so excited. The walls of the dining room are adorned with pictures of flowers and beautiful green trees are placed throughout the dining room. It is a very casual place that you could feel comfortable wearing whatever. The vegetarian menu clearly indicates if items are vegan and our waiter was able to answer any questions we had. I found it so hard to choose! With 11 vegan appetizers, eight vegan salads, nine vegan soups, and over 20 vegan entrees, it is like a vegan paradise. We started with an order of the spring rolls, which were filled with imitation meat and sweet potatoes fried in a spring roll shell. They were delicious. We also tried the Southern Vietnamese Rolls filled with shredded tofu, potatoes and imitation pork wrapped with fresh herbs in rice paper. These rolls had so much flavor and were so much better than the typical spring roll you'd get in a regular Vietnamese restaurant. I was very impressed. For my entree, I ordered the V35 -- Vegan Lemongrass Beef Noodles (Bun Bo Sa Ot), but instead of noodles, I had rice. This was vegan beef sauteed with lemongrass and onions served over rice. I also requested that they add other vegetables so they added some broccoli for me. The vegan beef had a nice texture and the sauce was very good. They also made it super spicy for me. That said, Chris' entree was my favorite of the night. He ordered the V48 -- Vegan Central Vietnamese
Clean, good service, fresh flavors. I would come here again.
Very good!. Tasty food and very friendly service. Well worth the try if you like authentic Vietnamese food!
I liked the food. It was very authentic.
I really loved the food... Lot of options to try very huge menu... But the prices are very low... Every thing pretty much under 10$ .... The people are very friendly but the place is ok.... I

Best Viet food in Tampa Bay. My husband and I have been going here for years. And when we became vegetarians, we were delighted to see the wonderfully, extensive vegetarian menu they offer. The menu is very extensive for anyone's tastes with dishes served from every region of Vietnam. We love everything from appetizers to desserts to the delish coffee brewed right at the table. The menu also offers pictures of many of the dishes so patrons can get an idea of what they are ordering. They grow their own herbs that they use in their dishes. The staff is consistently friendly and fast. Everything is spotless and clean too. One of my favorite restaurants in Tampa Bay.
What a nice place. Very friendly and polite staff, fresh ingredients and you actually can meet Mr. Trang. They grow their own mint and parsley etc. I love the trang pancake. You eat there free for your birthday and they have lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Place is always clean. Any dessert is good and get Viet coffee too for the whole experience.
VEG MENU IS AMAZING. Def a must for vegetarians in the Tampa Bay area!! A+++
Food, price, quality, service atmosphere...simply first rate. AAA+ all the way!
Best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to. My wife and I have been regular diners at Trang's for 19 years (can't believe it's been that long). Food is consistently well-prepared, TASTY and fresh. The variety will please anyone. Mr. Trang is a gourmet who has created each item on his menu. He is like family to us. He will make excellent suggestions if desired. I will continue to dine here as long as I have breath!!
Still craving after all these years.... My boyfriend and I have been going to this place for over ten years and we never get tired of it. In fact, I frequently get mad cravings for the summer rolls. We also love the Bun, and the Pho, which are the things we usually order, but everything on the menu is great. The food is consistently fresh and well prepared. And the staff are friendly, courteous and efficient. What more could you ask?
Mouthwatering. Whether veg eater or meat eater this place specializes in both. They have 2-3 pages of their menu dedicated to vegetarians and their meat options are also worthwhile. I had the pork and it literally fell apart with a few maneuvers of my chop sticks. So amazingly tender
We enjoyed this meal, although our soups were a little bland. Everything else was great. I would definately come back if I were in the area - there are quite a few menu items I'd still like to try.
A coworker told me about this place and I had to check it out. Some of the freshest food I've had from a restaurant! Get the spring rolls, you will NOT be disappointed. Also, this doesn't really apply to me but if you are a vegan this place has a huge selection of dishes. The location may not be great but it's really nice inside. I plan to go back again some time to catch the lunch specials.
Total yumminess. Came across this a couple of months ago as a result of VegOut . (everyone with an iPhone, check out the VegOut app!) They have several pages of vegan options. I've been there twice now (and I don't even live in Tampa!) and definitely plan on making it a staple every time I find myself anywhere near Tampa.
The strawberry cheesecake and carrot cake were divine!!! The autumn rolls, which have imitation meat, fresh herbs and chunks of pineapple, were light and refreshing. Wasn't too big a fan of the vegan drumsticks. They were way too salty for my taste. Everything else I've had there has been wonderful!!
I find that a lot of Vegetarian/Vegan restaurants fall into two categories. One is the restaurants that serve mainly vegetable dishes. These may include rich soups, vegetable sandwiches, whole grain breads, pastas and fresh salads. The other is one that models itself after meat restaurants but replaces all the meat with vegetarian/vegan alternatives. Sometimes I dig the first style. Sometimes the second. I really have no qualms about either. My friend D is all about the second style. He loves the fake meats, the tofus, tempehs, seitans of the world. He dislikes vegetables immensely (strange for a vegetarian but true). One of the Tampa restaurants we usually wind up visiting together is Trang Viet. I’ve mentioned Trang Viet on this blog a number of times before but have never done a proper review. I would say it is the Tampa restaurant I have frequented the most in my time here. This is in large part to the excellent food they have. The food is traditional home cooking styled Vietnamese
Exceptional Service with a smile! We received our Pho fresh and hot within minutes. It was authentic and tasty. Spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce was really enjoyable.Place was busy at 1:30 in the afternoon so it was a good sign they are doing the right thing.
My spouse and I decided to try this out as a new place. We both ordered vegan options. We tried the golden dumplings which were delicate and delicious. We also tried the Vegan Chicken with lemongrass and the vegan stir fry with bean thread noodles. The lemongrass dish was very fragrant and spicy. The stir fry was full of vegetables, and had a tasty soy sauce. Both portions were very generous and we have enough leftovers for lunch. My spouse also had the Jasmine tea, and he said (as a tea snob) that it was a high quality tea.
Our server was a very kind and attentive young lady who gave us ample time to review the menu, answered all of our questions, and never let our water glasses get empty.
I love Tran Noodle for being so inclusive to other diets! They include a VERY multifarious vegan menu and the food that’s on it is very tasty! Their tofu is very well cooked and the imitation pork spring roll is so yummy that I could probably get full off of those alone! When i asked to add vegan chicken to a dish, the waitress let me know that they can not do any add ins with vegan protein; my only complaint is that they allow for more customization in the future (: for now, it’s wonderful!
As a Vietnamese people I’m kinda picky for the vietnam food but this one is the one i have to give 10 out 10, so i go here for vacation go couple place but they closed for thanksgiving but finally i try this one , i got the best Bun bo hue and my brother get Pho special and it OUTSTANDING . Important thing is Attitude decides everything , the girl who serve me last night she is sweet and kind and the guy he is so friendly i think he is the owner , anyway thank you 😊. If i go back to tampa I definitely will come here for sure . 10 điểm không có nhưng, hi vong chị phục vụ và anh cao cao tối qua bưng đồ an cho em đọc được review . I hope your restaurant will be more success, one last thing beef tandon perfect
Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. It’s hard for me to find authentic Vietnamese food outside the house. I ordered carry out and the packaging felt like how your family member would pack your food for you. The ziploc bag was filled to the brim with vegetables (banana flower, lettuce, bean sprouts, jalapeños slices, mint, culantro, cilantro and green onion) and they even provided shrimp paste for full authenticity!
I ordered bun rieu, which is a crab meat based soup with tomatoes, tofu and pig’s blood. I know how it sounds, but trust me on this- they belong together.
I’m fully impressed by the food and highly recommend for anyone wanting an authentic viet foodie experience!
Very nice place super clean everything!! The food is amazing and always fresh! Definitely try if you’re around !! Amazing 5 stars
I was looking for seafood dish since it was Friday and no meat since it’s Lent. I ordered the E1 seafood with vegetables and it needed more flavor, but it had a lot of shrimp and squid in the dish. I also ordered vegan summer rolls. The rolls were so yummy with the dipping sauce.
Our server was so sweet! Such a cute place! The food was so good!! Absolutely loved it, will be coming back for sure!
This is just based on Pho. This is the BEST pho in Tampa and I've eaten at so many places! Eaten here a few times now and it never disappoint. The pho dac biet and pho bac (Northern pho) is very flavorful. The pho bac has marinated beef which was really good and bread stick. Both pho comes with vinegar onions and h the usual herbs. Love the vinegar onions - take it up a notch!! This is my to go place for pho. I did try banh xeo and it was good also, very crunchy and coconutty.... service was friendly. The waitress very outspoken and friendly and knows her stuff. Only thing is I wish they offer smaller bowls- could never finish a full regular bowl - so full.
We order pho special and bun bun hui. They are very tasty. We like it.
Love this place!
My 4th time back in a month...
Simply delish!

This is now our FAVORITE PHO restaurant! I'm spreading the good news to all my family and friends, because we've been trying to find very good PHO in this area for a while. The new ownership is doing a great job, so don't confuse it with the previous restaurant at this location. The food is very good and very fresh, the restaurant is clean, and the servers are very nice and helpful. If you try this place one time, I'm sure you'll be hooked, also!
One of the best pho we've ever had, not salty and delicious.😋The large bowl is really huged, good for 2 persons. They have generous servings plus promo, free Boba of your choice! ❤️ will definitely recommend and come back!🥰
Very clean, very adorable host, wide range of food options. Hats off to chef and the new business for working hard even on a holiday. I would definitely come again for the food and hospitality.
I got the spring roll on rice noodle. Quite refreshing with slight spice (almost non-existent, but I’m from the Caribbean). Also very light and satisfying. Workers there were positive and professional. The eating space looks clean as well.
On the way home from TPA on July 4, we decided to visit again after a great visit once before which we thoroughly enjoyed. The service, despite being very busy and one poor girl by herself, was attentive and fairly quick. My biggest pet peeve is cold food. Ours was piping hot (thank you!) and very tasted. There are many many vegan and vegetarian options. Big menu. Spacious. All around good experience.
This place is amazing! The first time we went to Tran Noodle was because we wanted to find a new restaurant to try out, my daughter found it online so we gave it a shot. I loved the simple family style atmosphere. The Pho was wonderful, you get more than you pay for and everything is so fresh and delicious. We have been back now 5 times and this week my oldest daughter decided to have her family birthday dinner here, we are so excited to share this place with the rest of the family.
This is the second time back since the pandemic so it’s been awhile since we been to Tran noodle formerly Tran viet. They have a vegan friendly menu to which we had the summer and spring rolls which was yummy good. I had a meat entree of pork skewers and pickled salad which was very good as well . There is lots of options to try in a quiet cozy atmosphere. If your in north Tampa you should give this place a try.
