Mothers is a nice place to stop after work and just relax. Love their mac n cheese, hamburgers are also very tasty. Its kind of like "Cheers". Haven't eaten anything I didn't like.
We stopped by Mother’s in Westchase for lunch today. They have an outside patio and the weather was perfect for it today. The menu had some interesting choices and we started off with the smokey Chipotle Gouda mac & cheese bites. These were tasty. Crispy on the outside, cheesy & gooey on the inside and the cheese sauce on the side had lots of flavor. A little smokey with crispy Pancetta. $8 for 4 of them seemed a little high to me, especially since I could have eaten a dozen and not thought twice about it. For his entree, Loren got their grilled chicken sandwich with fries.
Service was fantastic. I was so scared to try something and our waitress was so genuine. Music was a little loud. The crab bread bowl is phenomenal, but the lobster bites are out of this world. The dipping sauce is so good. The smoked old fashion had apple simple syrup and it was really good. The chicken tortellini is a little spicy but has great flavor.
Came here for a birthday brunch and would definitely come back for one of their weekly specials. We shared a bunch of menu items and most were delicious. The avocado toast was a bit bland and basic, so we'll skip it next time.
The shrimp and grits were delicious, very flavorful. Service was good, atmosphere a bit loud, making it hard to hear those at my table. The Mac and cheese bites were a good appetizer. I would return to try other items on the menu.

I visited Mothers last week for a light dinner / appetizers and was impressed by the menu selection and ambience as I had not visited for a while. We arrived before six pm and the seating was open so we chose to sit at a high top table in the bar area. The dining options include a large covered outdoor patio or inside booths and tables as well as the indoor bar area high tops or seats at the large curved wooden bar which face the tv screens which are popular for sports viewing and conversation.
Our server and bartender, Shawna, promptly came over with menus, advised us of the taco Tuesday special and other drink and food options. We took advantage of the happy hour pricing on drinks and one of the appetizer options - cheese curds. The drinks were well made by hand as ordered as were our preferences, promptly delivered and delicious. We liked that water was also provided and delivered before the drinks. The cheese curds tasted fresh, were hot and lightly fried served with a flavorful marinara. If you like mozzarella sticks you may find cheese curds a favored alternative. During our visit they were setting up balloon decor to celebrate the restaurant's anniversary and a balloon artist was available for children and families to enjoy their creations.
After our first round of drinks we decided to try other offerings and the frose is highly recommended. We also ordered the 12 piece wings which came with a generous side of sauce, celery and carrot sticks so a good keto meal. My companion ordered some vegetarian options and especially enjoyed the brussel sprouts. In addition to Shawna we also had Derek working the bar who also provided equally friendly attentive service also visiting our table. It was nice to not hunt anyone down and we felt well cared for. . Everything from menus to tables to floors was clean and well kept. Overall moderate pricing and a comfortable place to visit with a varied menu to please most anyone so a great choice for families or groups to keep everyone satisfied. Mothers has always been a great destination for all ages and there are events offered regularly to accommodate a wide age range from theme nights, karaoke, wine dinners, brunches and children's events like the balloon artist. The restaurant is located in a large strip plaza anchored by Publix with plenty of convenient, well lit parking. Those are some of the reasons this has been a very long lasting local reliable favorite in the heart of Westchase. I am very pleased to report a well deserved reputation and wanted to provide a thorough review of our experience as they are a great community supporter.
Went for brunch and had the biscuits and gravy chicken sandwich and Philly Cheesesteak with fries. It was delicious. We are going back for sure
Nice clean bar in the Westchase area. Good music, bartenders were quick, didn't try the food but patrons seemed to be pleased. Near many other venues as well. Wish it stayed open later.
Yesterday we had the pleasure of eating here. Everything was tasty & the Ginger Carrot Cake is a must when you eat there. Thank You for a great service from Allison & good atmosphere
The service was the best. We got there very close to the end of brunch but our waitress was so on point that we were able to get our money’s worth for drinks. The food was very good seasoned and the service was fast.
Weekdays are awesome our server was great and the food prepared fresh hot and delicious. I Loved the chicken pot pie Monday Special. We returned on a Friday and while food and service is still great it's music night and while I like music I couldn't hear the people at my table. I wish I had taken a seat outside to enjoy both.
Tampa Bay GirlFrendz 40+ hosted our 1st brunch at Mothers this past Sunday! We had a party of 25 and everything was on point!! The staff were all very friendly and patient! We thank you guys for being so accommodating to us & I’m sure we will be back!
Amazing brunch food menu as well as bottomless Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, or Red/White Sangria on the weekends! Went here on a first date and the experience did not disappoint at all. The service was awesome, and very organized for a bottomless drinking situation. You can mix and match the drink type which is super fun! The food options are so unique that I had a really hard time deciding as everything sounded so good! The prices are normal for the area and the outdoor seating is a great touch! The women's bathroom is so cute and nicely decorated! It's a classy place and a must try if you want an amazing brunch experience. I actually went out on a second date that same night with the guy that chose this location because we had such a fantastic time together here! 😉
Came for wine Wednesday along with some delicious new style flat breads. We’ve been here several times and are never let down. The food this visit was great, even better than normal. Always a great mid-week date night.
Nothing but rave reviews for this stellar local restaurant! The food is tasty and well priced, the drinks are reasonable and not watered down, and the service is consistently great. Add in live music a couple times a week, and this place has easily become our favorite hangout!
Mother's is fantastic! My family and I ate there this weekend. This weekend they had Mr. and Mrs. Claus stop by to visits the kids and take pictures!! 🤶❄🎅🎁 Honestly the prices are perfect, the food is wonderful and plentiful. The dishes are unique, you can't pass up this restaurant. You must go, order up a great quality Steak, or maybe the killer Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich which uses real Prime Rub! Bone-In Wings w/ dry rub maybe Buffalo sauce instead?! Ohh better yet get some Fried Pickles and the Spicy Honey Chicken Sandwich!
We went on a Friday night around 7:30. It was packed! There live music. We sat on the patio which was really nice. Service was a little slow at first, but it got better as the crowd thinned out.
We ordered two of the nightly specials - fried okra and the crab stuffed salmon. Sadly, the okra wasn't really even edible. It had a really odd coating. The remolaude sauce was really good though. The crab stuffed Salman was AMAZING!!! I almost always have leftovers, but I finished every bite and wanted to lick the plate. Lol
