On a busy Saturday evening, I decided to have dinner at Flames Indian Cuisine. Although the restaurant was crowded, I didn't mind waiting for a table as the wait was brief. I opted for the paneer, which turned out to be absolutely delightful. Alongside that, I ordered the lamb biryani, which was packed with flavors and tasted amazing. I specifically requested medium spice, and it was the ideal level of heat for my palate. Overall, I had a great time and I'm excited to come back again.
Food was delicious. Ordered the fried chicken appetizer and the spices were delicious. Our garlic naan was served with a red and green sauce that I could have drank by itself. Had butter chicken and curry chicken for our main course and we Ordered the spice medium and it was the perfect level of heat and flavor. Service was kind of slow getting to us but I will definitely be ordering take out in the future:)
This was my first time ever trying an Indian cuisine. My dish was the butter chicken, all the flavors were the best and the garlic and butter Naan made it even more deliciously.
Highly recommend!
Very authentic Indian cuisine. Loved the samosas, and Lamb Khorma with Naan and saffron rice. Our Waiter Abhay described the dishes and made recommendations. We will definitely come to try more in the near future.
Flames Indian Cuisine is a solid experience, but nothing stands out as particularly good or even great. I had the Chicken Korma. The sauce was decent, but the chicken was tough and dry. Typically Chicken Korma is very juicy and succulent, their version was far from that description. I had a mango lassi which was right on par, but it was served in a plastic take out cup with a lid. Strange. Additionally I ordered some Kulfi ice cream and it came out wrapped on a stick like a popsicle. I've never had Kulfi presented in that way. Not stellar. However, one dish that I had, the Rasmalai, was good. Additionally, the atmosphere is good and the staff is friendly. All around it was just ok. If I went again, I'd probably order something different than the Chicken Korma and acid the Kulfi and see what the experience is like.
We ate dinner in the restaurant on a slow dine-in, but very steady dine-out/pick up evening. Let's start with the good. We had the samosas, which were delicious. The sauces served with them were also good. The Chai tea was alright. We ordered a beer and it took about 12 minutes for it to arrive. We ordered chicken briyani and chicken vindaloo. The briyani came out and we waited about 15 more minutes, without eating any of it, before another server stopped by and asked if we were waiting for something else. We told her we didn't get the vindaloo. We had also ordered garlic Naan and cheese Naan. They hadn't arrived either. She apologized and went to the kitchen to check and see what happened. Finally, about 20 minutes after getting the briyani, the vindaloo arrived. Several minutes later, the Naan arrived. Everything was very good, though the vindaloo was nowhere near as spicy as we are used to. It was just annoying to have to wait so long for our other entree to arrive. The male who sat us and began our service (and seemed to be the manager, but I could be off base with that) never came back to the table again. I didn't ask to speak to a manager. I used to manage restaurants and I believe that if a server knows there's a serious issue, it's up to them to ask the manager to talk to the table. That's just my personal way. Nothing was taken from the bill for the long wait, which we didn't expect since we didn't ask for a manager. All in all, we would have had a pretty good experience if the service and food timing were better. The female server definitely did her best to make us feel attended to when she took over our service, so thank you to her for that! If we lived closer, we'd still order here for pick up, to be sure. Since we drove 35 minutes to try this restaurant from Riverview, we probably won't return. Don't skip eating here for pick up, but definitely ensure everything is accurate. Just in case. The briyani was delicious, and the garlic Naan is a must-have.
We were so glad to stumble upon this restaurant! Friendly staff, yummy drinks (we loved the strawberry cocktail margaritas!) and a beautiful presentation of our meal. We will definitely be coming here again with friends. The butter chicken was amazing and everything was packed full of flavor!
Pleasant surprise here. Very clean restaurant. Excellent service. Terrific flavor and texture and spice and quality to the food. Rare to find all three of these at most Indian Restaurants. The cleanliness and service here ranks among the best ever when it comes to Indian establishments. The food also ranks as some of the best as the food seems to be made with a lot of love and the spice used nicely to bring out the bold flavors of India. The garlic naan is a perfect compliment to any dinner. All dinners are beautifully made with the well balanced bold spices you expect from this cuisine. You will also enjoy the aroma of the spices as your dinner arrives. The tandoori selections are all beautifully prepared. If in Tampa and desiring the flavors and spices of India, this is your place.
Some of the best Indian food I’ve had in Tampa. Seriously. Butter chicken, lamb saag and garlic naan are all amazing. It’s a good deal for the amount of food you get. We ordered online takeout and make sure you check the order since they originally left off one dish.
Great food and quantity as well, had never been but glad we tried it. Had a hiccup with our order they didn’t want to address but we made due and it wasn’t that big of a deal. Will try again, just know we need to be very specific on our order and ensure we get what we ordered.
Flames is so good! We ate in on a Friday evening recently. The atmosphere is very nice and the food is wonderful! Warm and spicy :)
We had paneer tikka, Punjabi samosa, vindaloo chicken, and chicken biryani - so delicious!
Also, very reasonably priced, we had plenty of leftovers to bring home.
Flames Indian Cuisine was so delicious. Went for date night and definitely glad we chose to eat here.
We ordered the samosas for an appetizer and they were very good especially dipped in the red sauce.
We also ordered the tandoori platter and garlic Naan to share.
The platter came with rice and was plenty of food for both of us plus taking some home. We really enjoyed all the flavor on the each item in the platter. And the garlic Naan was delicious. I really enjoyed dipping it in the sweet red sauce.
The restaurant is very clean and well maintained we recommend you checking them out for amazing Indian Cuisine.
Chicken Tikka was really good. Curry was ok! Customer service was great!
Great ambience for an Indian restaurant.
Reached at the rush hour, had to wait for a few minutes to get seated. Waiters were helpful to find right food and spice level. Worth waiting for fresh food. Would definitely go back and try more options on Indian beer and righteously spiced food.
Great Father's Day dinner at the place that catered my wedding 4yrs ago! And the quality, taste, and cuisine is just as perfect as ever!
I firstly and for most want to say I was shorted two orders of rice from the restaurant through Ubereats I soon after called the restaurant and was upset so gave them a 1 star review on Ubereats. 5 minutes after I get a call from a worker who said he had spoke to the owner and they sent a driver who brought me another order and sent me the rice back out though they don’t normally deliver.. the owner was amazing for that and was extremely happy with the amazing customer service. Also the food there hands down is beyond spectacular it was my second time trying the first time I tried I just knew I had to try again and came all the way from Brooksville, Florida just to retry it again and it was just as good if not better. The chicken tiaka masala and garlic naans are out of this world. You can really tell the food from there is literally made from scratch. Best Indian food I’ve ever had in florida hands down. Customer service and food is off the chain! I will 100% come back every single time I need food. I apologize for the bad review om Ubereats I wrote that way before someone making it right as I was upset at first but wish I could change it. You guys are amazing!
The food was just flavorful, full of spices and not overpowering. The right balance and I enjoyed every bite. I got the chicken tikka masala, lamb chops and garlic naan.
Had our annual Christmas dinner here this year. All but the butter chicken was amazing. Was actually pretty surprised with how mediocre the butter chicken was.
