Not only is the sushi incredibly good and fresh but the prices are the best I've seen in Tampa. I came here 3 of the 4 days I stayed in Tampa and I loved it every time. The servers are so sweet and attentive, shoutout to Chris! It's a very tiny restaurant which makes it great for a special night out or dining alone like I did. Absolutely recommend.
Craving some sushi, this is a good place to try. I got spring egg rolls for starter, which wasn’t as crunchy as I would have liked them. Then for sushi we got the fire tornado which I really enjoyed due to the flavor and the spiciness. We also tried the Honolulu Sunset, it had more of a coconut very light taste. This place doesn’t have many tables to seat people, I think I counted maybe 8 tables. So I wouldn’t recommend big groups unless you decide to reserve first.
Came in for lunch, had the seaweed salad and the sushi burrito. The seaweed salad was a large portion for only $4.99 and tasted great. The burrito was on special for $11 and was fantastic. Everything tasted very fresh. Staff were all very nice and welcoming. Will definitely be returning.
Excellent place. Found this place on Google search. The server was great, friendly, and very attentive. The food is excellent and at a reasonable price. Will visit again.
Kelp sushi is the best sushi in Tampa. I 100% love my food every single time I come here. Highly highly recommend! Make sure to go during happy hour (3-7pm every day) to get an awesome deal on rolls and appetizers.
The food here is absolutely fantastic and the pairings were very well thought out. It took a lot of self-restraint not to over eat because of how delicious everything was. I am not a fan of Krab Rangoon from places I have tried them at and the ones here were so good. I will warn you that the wait is really long. We almost left but glad we stuck it out. That would typically mean I would have rated it lower but between the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the food, I did not think it would have been fair. I will probably get it to go next time but can't wait to dig in again 🤤
For several years, I’ve sought the scrumptious items at Kelp! They might be demurely tucked away in a plaza, but the freshness of their menu items bursts with flavor. It’s a sensation for your taste buds. The atmosphere is quaint with a steady take-out business. No need to go to a bigger, mainstream place. Well, you can so my friends and I can dine there without any wait. 😅
Honestly, exceed expectations. I was here on a date that went well, thought it may have been placebo effect, came back again and it was the best Sushi I'd had in Tampa! Fair price and quality, staff is excellent. Hope you enjoy like I did. Taste like the best days I had in Hawai'i.

What a great little place, cheap for the quality and great sushi and bowls. I had the spicy tuna and the Ocean roll (pictured). They were both very very good, well presented, and delicious all the way through. They're was a BOGO deal with two of the same 8-piece normal sushi (not their specialty ones), which helped the price stay lower. I'll definitely be visiting again soon!
Seriously one of the best sushi places in the entire Tampa Bay area. Fresh and fabulous. The staff was friendly, the menu is small enough to focus but expansive enough to find something you enjoy. I’m thrilled to find such a gem. If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would.
I just stopped in for lunch and had Jeremy as a waiter. So kind, funny, and checked in with every table consistently. I wish every restaurant had Jeremy on staff because I would request him everywhere.
Best sushi place in Tampa. I recommend sushi burritos and any of the specialty rolls. The manager Brooke is an incredible person, we love her.
I never dined in before that's why I couldn't give a star but let's start with delivery I love the food but twice now it's not been up to part. I had hard rice before not enough Wasabi now it wasn't enough spicy tuna. But over all I love it the crab ragoon Is amazing...
We went here for lunch on our vacation. We had Crazy rainbow and Sashimi sampler, salad and miso soup. They were okay. A bit disappointed on the specialty roll and drinks cause they weren’t really good. Service was great though, our waitress is very nice!

First off, the food here is SOOOOO good! You cannot go wrong here if you love sushi. 🍣 All of their food tastes authentic and is made fresh (you can see their kitchen). The food came out fairly quickly and looked as good as it tasted. My wife and I were quite impressed with their food, and mostly with their service...
That brings me to why they missed a star. When we visited, it was not that busy in their restaurant. There were maybe two or three other parties present. When you enter the restaurant, you have the choice to sit at their little hightop 'bar' area which we did. It seems there may be a line of sight problem. It's in a little awkward spot for the server to see a new party from all the way across the restaurant. As a result, it seemed to be a lengthy wait (about 5 minutes) before we were greeted by our server even though they did not seem to be busy. However, once we were greeted our server was very pleasant and explained she could have our sushi made to our specifications and we could add or subtract ingredients from our sushi rolls as we please...cool! Their seaweed salad was great! Maybe a change in processes would help with the delay in service issue. Maybe the kitchen staff could somehow alert the servers of a new party because you literally sit right in front of them if you sit at their bar area.
Overall, very impressed!
