Service and Food- A++. I'll be the first to admit- it may sound just a tad crazy to be a mega fan of a China Star. I live about a block away from this China Star so when I'm feeling like having chinese food (read: often), I just drive down the street. Therefore, not only am I a fan because it's close for me personally, but they are also fast, efficient, and the food is so good! I've ordered just about everything on their menu over the past 5 years and have never had a complaint. The employees are super friendly too, which isn't too common elsewhere.
True China Star. Having worked at USF for 6 years, I have tasted essentially everything on the menu at this restaurant, and would, without hesitation, say that it is the best Chinese in the university area. In appearance, it is like any other strip mall, picture menu above the counter Chinese place, but the quality of their food is above all of them. While some items are better than others, I have not had a bad meal here. Highly recommend for that midday Chinese lunch craving.
First time here. The food was good and not heavy. The best part was that the food wasn’t greasy. The staff were friendly and environment was cleaned which was really nice to see. I will go back to try new items. The ordering online made it quick and efficient. It also gave you a pick up time.
I recently tried ChinaStar and I have to say, I was blown away. The shrimp fried rice was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of seasoning. The General Tso's chicken was crispy and flavorful with an hint of spice which I personally enjoyed, and the crab Rangoons were the perfect blend of creamy and savory. I'm already looking forward to my next order from this restaurant!
The quality of the food was exceptional and I was impressed with how fresh everything tasted. The portions were also very generous, so I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. Overall, I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant to anyone who is looking for delicious fresh food. You won't be disappointed!
This is my favorite Chinese food spot. It is always what I order and they make it quick. The service is amazing when anyone helps except the lady that’s always there. I’m assuming she’s the manager or owner. Her attitude and customer service skills are lacking however I’m not complaining because she’s also never gotten my order wrong. For me, the deliciousness of the food trumps her lack of social skills any day.

I love the wonton soup and beef broccoli, tasty fried wonton! THE BEST IN THE AREA! Humble establishment, but your taste buds will come back for more cause I love their FOOD. YUM YUM YUMMY! I always order 12 piece fried shrimp, pork fried rice and steamed dumplings which comes with that nice dipping sauce. The customer service is always so kind and China Star is the BEST chinese food option for college kids, a quick lunch break and just to treat yourself to comforting Asian Cuisine!
Our new fave place. We order the rib tip with beef fried rice every week via DoorDash. I haven’t had American style Chinese food this good in a very very long time. The portions are very very generous. Food is well seasoned and packed with flavor. Cooked well. The quality of the food is always amazing. Never disappoints. This is our go to.
Excellent fast service, as far as any of their glazed chicken goes i would suggest asking for it to be crispy/well done or fried hard so you get that nice crunch ! Everything else is delicious the way it is.
Food was good big portions. They forgot to add the fried dumpling sauce that is supposed to go with them which throws the entire app. Off. Otherwise everything else was good.

I must admit I really enjoyed the food from this restaurant. I didn't have the pleasure to go to the restaurant but I ordered from doordash. The fried rice was one of my favorites I had in a while. The food was fresh and delicious. I had the boneless spare rib combo
this place smelled delicious when I left Publix, and then I ordered it via door dash. The food was good, prices reasonable, and portion sizes enormous. Would order again!
I went to China Star because the other restaurant China One was closed on Tuesdays which is the best restaurant I always go eat at but now I think I have me a new go to the place because their chicken wings are very very delicious and their rice is delicious too at the same time..
I live in Brandon, and I take this drive when ever we want Chinese food. This is the best Chinese food I have had since I left NY. Service is awesome and the food is always fresh and delicious. I have been here countless times and have yet to be disappointed. Definitely worth the trip.
My first visit. Food was excellent with very friendly staff. 1st review is from about a year ago. We ordered from China Star a few days ago and it seems like a different place, very abrupt order taker on the phone, the food was just horrible. I ordered the lemon chicken and just threw it in the trash. A waste of 40.00 worth of food. No one liked their food. I will not be ordering from them again. What a shame Go to New China
