Food was amazing. They have a buffet or meal to dine from. I order from the menu because I wanted Roti. Waitress I believe named Amanda was nice and tentative to our needs. Open friendly atmosphere, played Caribbean music in the background. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. Went with co workers for a birthday lunch.
I was in Tampa for my birthday weekend & I looked this spot up & it was a must from the pictures I seen to the good reviews. Jerk Hut was a whole vibe & the food was Delicious. The best oxtails I’ve ever had & the Rasta Pasta was on point I had plenty of leftovers & my husband had no complaints just an empty plate. Also for the price you will be highly satisfied with the portions.

They make delicious food and it is always a good experience. I've been here many times and I have enjoyed every experience at this restaurant. Good service and a relaxing environment. I look forward to the next time.
I think I have already written a great review, but I wanted to write again after today's visit. This place is AMAZING! Food is incredible!! The buffet has soooo many delicious choices and is kept full all the time. I don't even like eating foods like Jerk Chicken but I LOVE it at Jerk Hut!! It has just the right amount of spice for any palate. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. It feels like I'm back on one of the islands. I ordered a drink from the bar and they did not skimp on the alcohol so it was a very good drink! Besides the awesome wait staff, there was a manager who was walking around making sure everyone was happy and making sure the buffet was filled, etc...he said he is from Guyana but I'm sorry to say I didn't ask his name and didn't look at his tag. He was the sweetest and so hospitable! My husband ordered oxtail (from the menu, not at the buffet) and he LOVED it! This place is a must! It is our new weekly spot! Go! You won't regret it!
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Jerk Hut Island Grill in Tampa, FL, and I can't wait to share the highlights! The buffet offered an incredible variety of mouthwatering dishes at an unbeatable price. Every bite was a burst of delicious flavors, making it a culinary haven for anyone seeking an authentic and satisfying dining experience.
One standout dish was the Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich on cloud bread, which was a true culinary masterpiece. The combination of perfectly seasoned jerk chicken and the ethereal cloud bread created a taste sensation that left me craving more. It was undoubtedly a delightful culinary journey that I won't soon forget.
To complement the amazing flavors, I tried the pineapple ginger juice, and let me tell you, it was a game-changer. The refreshing blend of pineapple and ginger resulted in the best juice I have ever had – a perfect balance of sweetness and spice that heightened my dining experience.
Moreover, our waitress, Billy, was the epitome of excellent service. Her kindness and helpfulness added a personal touch to our visit, making us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. Billy's attentive service contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of our meal, turning a great dining experience into an exceptional one.
In conclusion, Jerk Hut Island Grill exceeded my expectations in every aspect – from the delectable buffet to the outstanding Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich and the unforgettable pineapple ginger juice. With the added warmth and attentiveness of our server, Billy, this dining experience easily deserves a solid five-star rating. I highly recommend Jerk Hut Island Grill for anyone in search of a memorable and satisfying culinary adventure in Tampa, FL.
Nice and spacious caribbean restaurant and lounge. Serving most dishes I am accustomed to, including brown stew or stem fish, which are my personal favorites. They also provide a nicely stacked all you could eat buffet. I enjoyed the dine-in experience.
The food is delicious, and the drinks are strong. The restaurant can easily host your events with a private room available but go for the food. They offer menu and buffet style with a drink menu that is not for the weak drinkers. The service and attentiveness is excellent.
We enjoyed an amazing island lunch buffet. Very reasonably priced. Reminds me of my Aunt from Trinidad cooking.
The best jerk in town hands down, I had the ox tail and curry goat wit rice and beans with a order of a half jerk chicken ….. Amazing flavor very intense I will say. Over all 10 out of 10 must try again.
I have recently been introduced, properly, to the Jamaican way of cooking, and I can only say; I wish I’d been so introduced earlier! The food here is legit amazing! The Guyanese goddess I recently fell in love with has been a breath of fresh air, when it comes to how I enjoy food. Less is more when it comes to calories; more is better when it comes to seasonings. The BBQ pulled pork is my favorite, so far, at Jerk Hut.
The food, staff and attention to not only detail but making sure we had everything we needed during our use of the private room was outstanding. Our family did all of the beautiful decorations and I wanted to show the way this room could be used for private events. The food was not only delicious-again, the staff was really on top of things and were making sure we were enjoying all of it! A few of us were from out of town so we were unfamiliar with the menu and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of flavors that blended so well together. We had several different choices and it was set up buffet style-I tasted everything that was offered and especially liked the way the chicken was prepared. One of my favorite sides was the cabbage! It was sublime. Second favorite was the way the green bean & carrot mix was prepared; perfectly cooked so they weren’t mushy and had a nice bite to them. Nothing we had was too spicy, but, there was a nice surprise kick to the vegetable side dish.
Since we did travel from out of town, the next time we’re here, this is definitely a place where I’d love to sit on the restaurant side and get to enjoy some dishes we didn’t have.
The ONLY thing that wasn’t done the way I would have liked is that the wine we purchased from the bar was served in a plastic cup. I’m assuming this was because were in a different area and they didn’t want broken glass back there? Not entirely sure though because the beers that were being drunk were in glass bottles.
Looking forward to visiting again soon and eating in the restaurant section. Definitely deserving of all 5 stars.
Best Jerk in Florida, they actually grill it, if you prefer jerk with that grilled flavor that is what they do here, came here two nights in a row for dinner while in Tampa, They have a buffet if you dine in, jerk pork, chicken, and braised oxtail, all available at the buffet, especially love the bbq jerk pork soo good, the peas and rice and macaroni pie (baked Mac and cheese)are also very good, fruit and salad options also available, I believe I saw some fried fish and chicken as well everything tasted great, full bar with many different cocktails, service was good and everyone was very friendly. The place it self has a pretty cool Caribbean vibe could mabey do with a little sprucing up around the establishment but all in all was a good experience and I enjoyed the food. Definitely will be back.
Got the Curry Chicken plate with cabbage, rice, and beans and it was about 80% rice/beans 😕 The buffet is good though.🤩 $7 per pound to-go
The service is excellent and the atmosphere was okay. The food was hot and the wait wasn’t too long.
