When I described this place over the phone to my dad, he said, "I'm glad it hasn't changed in all these years". I think that's all you really need to know about the Tannersville Inn. This place has been around forever for a reason. Everyone was friendly, it was very clean, and my food was outstanding. Get some wings with Apple Pepper Jack sauce.
Nice atmosphere and good choices for meals. Prices were extraordinary affordable and tasted delicious. Stopped on for an early dinner and quite enjoyed it.
Historic atmosphere and good food. I haven't been here in a while so I went tonight with my parents, my husband, and my daughter (6).
I have the Chicken Wisconsin, my husband had the chicken cheesesteak, my dad had a burger, my mom had the salmon burger, and my daughter had chicken tenders and fries. Food came quickly, waitress even served daughter first when we asked. I liked my sandwich a lot though I asked for no honey mustard since I'm not a fan. They said no problem.
Service is good and waitress was friendly. She checked on us, refilled drinks, brought extra napkins, etc.
The NYC clam chowder was very nice. I also had the pork chops with broccoli. They came with a small applesauce. The service was nice and prompt. My favorite is probably the old woodwork and all the history. Also has a nice and active bar.
I love the atmosphere of the inside. It really had the charm of a local restaurant with a lot of history behind it. The food was also pretty good. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly although the rice side dish was a little hard. Wait staff was very friendly. Steak dinner for two people was 80 dollars with tip. Not too bad! I recommend!!!
Amazing food, clams were delish, the clam juice/soup under them was even better. Wings were 50 cents and very well done flavor wise. Just wow
Very nice atmosphere! Great servnice, staff was very nice, Good food and drinks, nice portions and good prices! I can't wait to go back!
This is a very nice place for late dinner, especially if you want the game.
They have big nice TV over the bar area, and a smaller one next to the bar.
Decent food and decent drinks, I wouldn't say it is fancy, but reasonable for what you pay.
The place decor in the bar area is very nice and rustic.
The food was nice, the chili was amazing, same as the burgers.
The soup was okay.
Excellent fish and chips. Nice atmosphere and the Guinness was smooth flowing.
Went on 2/9/20 for my wife's birthday. When entering and sitting in the dining room, it had a warm, pleasant atmosphere from the roaring fireplace to the romantic table lamps. Food was plentiful and really tasty. Wait staff was friendly, courteous and attentive.
They get four stars and not five is because although men's restroom had that old lockeroom smell to it. Also, when I received the bill I thought it was a bit pricey for what we ordered. It left a bit of a sour taste on my pallet. All in all thought, I would definitely go back again.
Our waitress Sue was amazing and sweet. Service was impeccable. We are from New Jersey and are sometimes weary about trying a new place out of state. DO NOT hesitate to come eat here. We did not get anything fancy, however the burgers were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. They sang happy birthday to my daughter and she loved her food as well. We will be back on our next visit!
The food was amazing, my family tried many dishes and they were all great. The decor and character of the Tannersville inn is very unique and interesting as well. Our waiter was very charismatic too and told jokes during our whole stay adding to the welcoming feel of this place. Would definitely go again and recommend to others. ( I think our waiter’s name was John if you were wondering)
The night life is perfect for a small group who still wants a quiet but inclusive atmosphere. The waitress was pleasant and lighthearted. The patrons were friendly with all of us. We were celebrating 2 birthdays. I would definitely go back again!
We ordered the spinach flatbread and fries with gravy. Both items were very tasty.
Atmosphere is top notch!! Staff couldn't be friendlier!! Food was not 5 stars but you don't pay 5 star prices. Some of the best Chicken Wings I ever had and I get them every place I go. Can't wait to visit the area again so we can dine here. Almost thought about coming back for Easter brunch the atmosphere is so cool!!
We generally come here for special occasions and today it was Valentine's Day .... we both ordered the same dinner...half a rack of ribs. They were smothered in bbq sauce, just the way I like it...fall off the bone tender and tasty. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and was served with butter and sour cream. I was a bit surprised that no vegetable was offered. There may have been one on the sides menu, but generally speaking, a vegetable is usually a given. Certainly not a deal breaker, but it would have been nice. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that the place is starting to look its age. A coat of paint perhaps? Fix the cracks in the ceiling? It's a lovely old place really, just needs a little TLC. Oh, and one more thing on a positive note , the price was right! $47.60 for dinner and dessert? Hard to beat that! We generally spend about $30 just for lunch at a diner, really good food in a beautiful atmosphere for just under $50? That's a deal maker!
I had my annual Tea party at TVI. It was so much fun. The atmosphere was perfect! "Fashion through the decades" was the theme. The staff were wonderful! Everyone enjoyed the food. Great place for any function.
