Wonderful place with yummy food. And doggie friendly on the deck. Had the brie appetizer. Was delicious. The mushroom with goat cheese sandwich for lunch was also wonderful. Gronk loved his burger with rice. I had a Chocolate beer and he had a nice bowl of water. Perfect place for after a hike.

My wife and I stopped in this past Wednesday after hiking Kaaterskill Falls and swimming in Colgate Lake, and had the best nachos and knishewich!! Our server Zach was great! We met Dave the owner and told him what an unexpected gem his place is! So so so good!!

We had an amazing time here yesterday after a long hike up Twin Mountain. They were so welcoming to not only us but my 3 dogs as well! Our waitress was so friendly (to us and the dogs). I can't believe you have a doggie menu as well! My 3 boys gobbled down their food and even got ice cream at the end! Oh and the people food was amazing as well!! Beer and cheese, you can't go wrong!!

This was our second visit to Last Chance. I had the French Dip sandwich and my wife Deb had the tuna melt. We both enjoyed the food, the service was excellent and the atmosphere n was friendly. We will be back in Tannersville in June and we will be back here for a meal

Love this little gem in the middle of Tannersville. The staff is always friendly and I don't know what's more impressive, the extensive beer list or the impressive cheese selection. The selection of miscellaneous craft goods is also worth the visit.

Wonderful little place! My husband, daughter and I made. A day trip to Hunter Mt and on our way back this place caught pur attention. Parked in the back (great option) considering the Main St was packed. Down the steps we went to find the place packed so we figure give it a chance and what a pleasant surprised...the menu was small a d simple. I am usually a steak person but after seeing Bison Cheddar Burger i had no choice but to decide. I am so glad i did. Cooked to perfection. I am so glad we stopped by...service was fantastic!

Got the goat burger and the knish-which - AMAZING!!! Great flavorful food, def going back. Was super speedy with the order - we had take out. Also great selection of beer, especially local beer - they even have a special made IPA that is specific and exclusive to this store!

The macaroni and cheese was as pure as it comes, truly homemade taste and authenticity. The cheese platter was top notch as well as was the service. Very kind and shows that small towns remain. The atmosphere and variety of the menu could also not have been better. The only comment I have is the price, but yet again, a touristy area, so it comes with the territory

I had read all of the reviews and couldn’t wait to try this soup. Beautiful presentation. Lots and lots and lots of cheese atop beef broth. I agree with some of the reviews that it doesn’t taste like traditional French soup, but it wasn’t bad. You literally could have cut the cheese with a knife it was so thick. Lots of onions. The presentation was the best part, but the soup was pretty decent. Also had the pastrami on rye bread. It was just average. Probably wouldn’t go back for either, but it was an experience I wanted to try. The service was good and you can shop around for candy and other treats while you’re waiting on your table or just after your meal. I understand they have live music on the weekends, but unfortunately we were there during the week. Nice little spot to stop in while you’re out in the Catskills.

If I could give this place a 10/5 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The atmosphere is incredible with the antiques strewn across the restaurant giving it a homey feeling that reflects the small town it resides in. The candy shop adds a general store vibe that enhances the homey feeling and there's plenty to choose from to take home with you. The food is incredible, to say the least. My husband and I tried new things the whole trip while visiting the Catskills, but Last Chance Cheese was so good that we had to come back a second time before going home. As someone from the south, I hold high regard to all things BBQ, but I'm surprised (and quite frankly, upset) to say that the pulled pork sandwich rivals all of the pulled pork I've had growing up in NC. Highly recommend this place, and you will be well taken care of by the friendly staff of this establishment. Will 100% be coming back here the First Chance we get.

I'm all about supporting the local business and this one is special as all the products they use and to sell are off the local business community. This is a special quality that's hard to see these days. Let's get to the point - FOOD 1. They claim the cheese fondue 🫕 is there most selling item especially during the winter season and I agree with them, however I believe the cheese is ought to be a little more seasoned prior to bringing it up on the mini stove to the customer's table and the bread needs to be a tad bit tougher. ★★★★ 2. The buffalo wings are fresh as a spring breeze on a good day! I really recommend this item. ★★★★★ 3. The steak isn't the greatest as it felt to be frozen and the temperature wasn't right. I like it Medium however it was almost well done.★★ The gift store/antiques: It has a good vintage countryside collection and a southern vibe to it. The place isn't crowded and is pleasant. You will see a lot of products that are made by local businesses like pure raw honey, maple syrup, bread, gift baskets, coffee, and more. Location: This place is privy to a lot of hikes especially Kaaterskill falls and is pretty close to the gateway cabins. A lot of skiing spots around the area.

The best restaurant in Tannersville! I love this place! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly and the place is very exotic. Lots of antiques on the wall. They have a long list of beers. I do recommend the Pulled Pork Nachos, Cheese Fondue and the Black Angus Ribeye Steak.
