El Gamal - Taos - Photo album

Amazing find in taos. Food was amazing! And I'm not vegetarian. Service was excellent and atmosphere was great. We plan on making this a permanent stop when in town. Try the falafel, they are the best (not too hard on the outside like other restaurants when over cooked) they have a nice light
Strolling Bent Street and Taos Plaza, STARVING and chatting with merchants, the answer to the question, "where's the best place to eat around here?", or "what is your favorite local eatery?" El Gamal, was in most every answer. Cozy, chilled, relaxed atmosphere are just bonuses to the ABSOLUTELY yumm
Sometimes vegetarian food is a compromise for a dining companion. My meat loving husband and myself (a former vegetarian who always loved meat) really enjoyed our meal here. The food was flavorful and filling.
We stumbled upon El Gamal when searching for vegetarian food in Taos on a ski vaca and were so excited to find it! Incredible staff, the food (daily dosa & falafel sandwich) was superb, and we wish we lived closer. We'll be back next time we're in town!
Love this place. The food is so good, made right with pure ingredients. Kind, friendly staff. Their bread and hummus are very traditional and delicious. The carrot cake is very good. Chefs are great and so are the waitresses.
Had lunch here before heading to Taos Peublo.....it was fantastic! The atmosphere was very welcoming and my Smoky Falafel Sandwich was the best. We trly enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Taos.
We arrived shortly before close and Alysha(Elysha?) was beyond welcoming. The menu was jam-packed with foods we adore and what we ordered (goat cheese falafel, dolmas and zaatar fries) was delicious! Highly recommended, especially at happy hour for 3$ wine/beer 🙃
Super friendly staff, lovely, chill environment, and the food was waaay better than I was expecting it to be. I will definitely be going back!
The food is amazing! Love the atmosphere.. definitely my favorite restaurant in Taos🙏 vegetation and vegan friendly. Bring the whole family, awesome for kids.
So I'm sitting here at el Gamal right now, and am enjoying myself so much that I'm going to write a review before I forget. If you're an omnivore like me, don't worry that its a vegetarian place. The food is so interesting and delicious you won't even notice. Also, it was a lot off food for a good p
What a wonderful place with delicious food! We got the spicy falafel sandwich and an indian dish.
Yum, Yum, Yum. I went to this place twice during my stay in Taos. One of few dedicated vegetarian/vegan spots in town. They have a lot of vegan options and many things can be made vegan. The vibe is so cool and hip, it makes you want to keep coming back. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The
Great Place with friendly and fast service. The homemade mint lemonade was excellent. Our group ordered a few sampler platters and everything was excellent. I can definitely recommend the falafel sandwich as well. All the desserts were superb. There is also a kids play area behind a gate with a
Delicious food! Just had a falafel sandwich there today. It was spectacular! Nice people. Great place with a very chill vibe. Absolutely would recommend. FYI, while I didn't look to hard at the menu as the special was drawing my eye, but pretty sure it was vegetarian only. And I saw many of those op
We stumbled upon this place because a lot of places are closed on Sundays in Taos and I am happy we did. It's vegetarian and has lots of options. We had the soup, beet salad (definitely recommend that), fries (also delicious), pita, and a bagel and all of it was good. The atmosphere is nice, the ser
Awesome atmosphere, super friendly staff and amazing food. We were visiting Taos and just happened to run across this vegetarian spot and we are so glad we stopped. I had an awesome green Chile bagel with feta and avocado that my girl couldn't stop picking off of. Her Eggs florentine were beautif
Amazing staff. Amazing vibe. Very interesting twist on multiple ethnic dishes. My family was made to feel like we were the most important and interesting people. Food was good. Owner is super interesting. Staff presented themselves like they were vested in the restaurant. I realized tonight that
