Casa De Valdez - Taos - Photo album

The beautiful atmosphere. Delicious drinks and wonderful service by the amazing Madelyn made for an incredible dining experience at Casa de Valdez! A must try when in the Taos area!
The bartender was great! The good was delicious. The combination platter Christmas style was great. We both thought the hatch chili could be hotter. The red chili was smokey. Just delicious. The Sopapilla stuffed with beef was great. Everything was so good we stayed in town to go back.
This was such an unexpected little gem! We did NOT try the Mexican food, instead opting for the pit BBQ... and OMG! If you can handle spicy, their habanero BBQ sauce is, if not THE best, then definitely top 3 I've EVER had: Chunky, spicy but not overpoweringly so, a touch of sweet and, in the back,
Third trip to Casa de Valdez. Our first two times, the food was excellent. This time, the barbecue ribs and the vegetables were overcooked on my meal. The brisket was excellent, and the fish and chips were excellent for other members in our group. Will definitely try it again next time we are in Ta
Delicious, green, red, pasole, etc etc. Yum. 3 years later.. These might be the best ribs I've ever had. Just wish they'd make red chile BBQ sauce, I just make my own šŸ˜€.. the tamales.. the pasole.. the frijole.. the marg.. everything is delicious.
Excellent brisket, well smoked so really do not sauce, they do have 3 sauces if you want. The German coleslaw was tasty, never had it.
Excellent brisket and steaks. Service was timely and friendly. Good side selections and portion sizes.

Had a great meal of chile rellenos and blue corn enchiladas. The ingredients had wonderful flavor and the sopapillas were delightful (order extra so you have one the sop up the sauces of your meal and another to eat with honey for dessert). An ownership transition has left them without a liquor lice
Good food with a variety of New Mexican dishes and BBQ. Outside seating available.
If I lived in Taos, I would come here ALL the time and get their sopapillas. Seriously, one of THE best sopapillas Iā€™ve ever had. We had to order another round for the table cuz one wasnā€™t enough haha. Sorry I didnā€™t get a picture. But the iced tea was very fresh and the service was great! And I lov
