I was visiting Sleepy Hollow and happened upon this great BBQ spot in Tarrytown named Pik Nik. The food prepared here wakes up your taste bud in a delectable way. It was so good, it makes you want to lick your toes!! I got BBQ wings with sweet potato wedges and baked beans. Carl, who takes care of the shop, recommended a sauce for the wings and I can tell you it was a life changing event. Whatever Carl recommends will be a great delight!!!

Small place with 2 outside tables for 2. Scan QR for Menu, Order, pay & they bring the food to your table when it’s ready. Orders a 1/2 Fried Chicken dinner with 2 sides & 2 box meats with 2 sides. The brisket & Fried Chicken was excellent. The rubs were dry. The French fries, sweet potato fries, Mac & cheese & beans were all good. Also ordered a loaf of cornbread (4 pieces), which still had the butter melting on top, was also good. Will be back again.

Some of the best BBQ in the Hudson Valley. Prime brisket is smoked & well rendered. Respectable ribs. Definitely recommend the burnt ends; large cubes of smoked brisket that are top notch (big portion too). Always check the daily specials- the smoked Pastrami Reuben was my favorite. House made sides are not an after thought (really liked the pickles & crispy slaw too).

Been meaning to write this review for a while now, but let me tell you about our amazing experience here. This cozy restaurant is a hidden gem, and as BBQ enthusiasts, we were thrilled to check it out. And boy, were we impressed! We decided to go all out and ordered a variety of dishes. The burnt ends and prime beef brisket were cooked to perfection, with that mouth-watering smoky flavor we crave. The sides like mac and cheese, baked beans with sausage, and potato salad with bacon were rich and full of flavor. The homemade country biscuit was light and fluffy, and the sweet potato wedges added a delightful twist. Just when we thought we couldn't eat another bite, the chef surprised us with a plate of mini chicharrón. We couldn't resist, even though we were already stuffed! The chef's personal touch truly stood out during our visit. He took the time to come out and check on us, engaging in friendly conversation. His passion for BBQ was evident and added that extra special touch to our dining experience. Not only is the food fantastic, but it's also important to support local, black-owned businesses. We wish we lived closer, but we'll definitely be making the trip from the city again. Oh, and don't forget to try the peach cobbler for dessert—what a treat it was!

I was in town Halloween weekend, a day after the Halloween Parade, the busiest time of year in town. The food was out of this world incredible - an instant favorite. If you must know, I tried the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and it's the best chicken I've had anywhere - hands down! I dug in so much that I had to remember my manners - it was THAT good! The atmosphere - incredible, I loved it! They played a mixture of incredible music, the guests were enjoying themselves, overall a very vibrant, laid back atmosphere. The service - after satiating the appetites of a huge number of visitors and residents alike - especially with the parade - the staff still had it in them to provide remarkable service. Overall, I didn't feel like just another tourist or guest, I felt welcomed and appreciated. I will be in the region more often for my interests and hobbies and I look forward to trying more of Pik Niks tasty selections and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere and stellar service!

After a long four plus hour drive to Tarrytown for business I looked up local restaurants and thought to myself, can’t go wrong with bbq! I ordered the fried free chicken sandwich (no tarter sauce), 1/2 lb of brisket and bread pudding. Food is never great to go so the scale varies but the brisket was good (bbq sauce may not be for everyone, very distinct), chicken sandwich was good (chipotle sauce may not be for everyone, very distinct) and the bread pudding was too wet for me. I wish I saw the specials before ordering but overall I would def give another try or recommend to non locals. Service was outstanding as well.

Excellent BBQ. Homemade style Mac & Cheese (delicious). We got Box #2 and fed pretty well 2. Their BBQ sauce is also delicious. Love the meat! Will definitely come back.

I had 1/2 a rack of bbq ribs with 8 bbq wings and a side of French fries and trust me, they are incredible, I would even call the the food “the food of the gods.” The ribs were juicy and flavorful. The wings had a delicious smoky flavor and the French fries were seasoned to perfection. Highly recommended even if hours away
