I learned that this is a chain restaurant with most of its locations in Arizona, and thought it was a spot with lots of great atmosphere along with good food! Many of the items are conventionally found in other New American restaurants, while other items are relatively innovative in such a place, and I happened to try one of them and was very satisfied with what I had! I ordered the spicy vegan curry and I was delightfully surprised because it tasted very much southeast Asian style with the curry they used along with the spices that I was able to taste! I enjoyed having the black rice in there which was something I didn't think about before but knew right away that would work upon seeing it. Some of the vegetables like snap peas, eggplant, and cauliflower are mostly used to complement the vegan aspect of the dish instead of for authenticity purposes, which is more than okay because the curry is the main star and it most definitely is! I tried some of the dishes my friends have gotten as well. The fried chicken portion was good and had good flavor! The seasoning didn't quite penetrate into the chicken and there's a bit too much breading at certain parts. The prime skirt steak dish and the roasted salmon both taste good with a good amount of seasoning. I think given the prices they can both benefit from having a bit larger portion on its sides, like the vegetables included or the fries, etc., or even a larger steak itself because a skirt steak tends to be thinner which already makes it a bit less worth it when a customer orders a steak that's over $30 and it's a skirt steak rather than a sirloin, if that makes sense. The strawberry and spinach salad was also surprisingly amazing! I am not a salad person so I ordered it due to my friend's recommendation and it was the right choice! Having smoked almond, goat cheese, raisins, and vinaigrette definitely did the work, because the combination of all of these along with strawberry slices, spinach, and lettuce just created this savory flavor that one normally wouldn't expect from a salad. Totally enjoyed it! I also want to say we had a very friendly server who was very humorous! I didn't get his name, but he definitely enhanced our good experience at Culinary Dropout!

This place is incredible. Huge front and back dining rooms. Food and service are excellent. What a cool place, glad we decided to give it a go. Loved the menu and the bartenders know what they are doing. I would definitely visit this place again. Very well done.

Love this place! Service was outstanding from valet and our waiters (except the greeter). The ambiance is fantastic, hip, trendy with rustic modern feel. Entrees were all fresh and made from scratch. Fried chicken and pork rib were excellent. This place actually reminds me of Napa restaurants.

This was an amazing place with great food and service. This is more of a college hangout, but no matter how mature we get, we love a spot with games. It was absolutely beautiful and had ping-pong, corn hole, etc. We had a great time visiting family at this hang out. Highly recommended.

First time here and it won't be the last! First, the place is like a huge barn, totally open great room with covered lights in a more enclosed but outdoor area for live music and dancing with showrooms for large private parties, very comfortable seating, the layout of this place is just totally casual and comfortable. TVs with games on are everywhere but it's not really loud for as much movement going on. Servers take their time to take care of you, very friendly, quick seating, perfect location so close to ASU! Total college hangout vibe! Ordered the pretzel appetizer with fondue cheese and it was $15 but so worth it! Was a huge portion to be a meal in itself, fondue was served with a lit candle underneath to heat it and it is a must have! I has the fish and chips for $20 with Cole slaw and fries-Cole slaw was just ok, fish fry was very good, fries a bit greasy, but all in all it wasn't bad. Iced tea is very good! Husband ordered the fried chicken with a buttermilk Biscuit (SO good!) And mashed potatoes with gravy....Yum! We asked if they served biscuits and gravy even though it wasn't on the menu-it was definitely the best Biscuit I've ever tried! I definitely will be back, but I want to try a different entree when I do return. The menu is smaller but definitely has quality and unique touch. Brunch items sounded very good too! Now the bill....for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and 2 iced teas it was $70 after tax and before tip. That is a bit high, but I'm glad we went and it was a great experience.

Food was great. Felt a little harassed and pushed by the server rather than feeling like we could chill as the place was half empty. But it's a great place to stop, eat and drink.

The Culinary Dropout is one of our favs! Today I tried the Egg Sandwich which is my first order off the brunch menu. It was awesome, definitely recommend. Even with our large group the food came out quickly and accurately. They are always so friendly and have a family friendly environment, our kiddos can run and run in the patio space.

Came here for lunch before the airport. The fondue pretzels were really good. Fries were plain with no seasoning. Coleslaw was bland and fish was over the top greasy. French dip was okay not much meat.

Loved this place ! Such a Cool environment and the chopped chicken salad was delicious! Great drinks. ! The only down side that needs to be mentioned is, the girl that seated us definitely needs to work on her customer service skills or find another job perhaps. The place was pretty empty in the area where we were seated and she sat us at a table right next to another couple... I had driven in from Las Vegas to see my friend and we had a lot of catching up to do so I requested a different table (plenty to choose from) so we could talk. The hostess got such an attitude and was so put out. She begrudgingly sat us at a different table, but the very next couple they came in she sat next to us despite so many empty seats. Passive aggressive much? I think there is a word that describes girls like her perfectly 😉 Pretty strange that she could be so impacted by this and actually quite rude. We were there to have a good time and relax and her attitude was so uncalled for. It is unfortunate because the waitress and bartender were great, so maybe on another day the service could be a 5!

Awesome restaurant. The food was delicious and our waiter, Andy was very friendly and helpful. Portions were just right and flavors were great. The shrimp salad I had was refreshing. Location is great as it's walking distance from the college campus and hotels.

A very large place very a great meal and entertainment. Went as a large corporate group with a fixed menu. The fixed menu had everything chips, salads, pretzels balls, and I had the salmon.

It's always great. Have never really had anything we didn't like. Not a big fan of there stake options, but there are other things to go for. Love the pretzels. I have multiple lunch meetings a month at this location. Highly recommend.

We had dinner here and made reservations online for 6pm on a Saturday. When we arrived there was no parking but free Valet but we opted to park on the street since I just didn't feel like tipping the valet. It was a short walk to the restaurant but in the 115F heat it was not exactly pleasant. The restaurant seems to be a combo of outdoor area seating with activities such as Cornhole with TVs with sports playing on them. The inside was a very club like space with big tables for large groups. They also had live music there as well and that started around 7pm while we were just finishing up dinner. The food was good as we split the ribs and each got a drink. The crowd definitely trends younger college types as ASU is just literally around the corner.

I cant say enough about this location. The bar staff goes out of their way to make me come back too much!! Thank you for the midnight toast!! I come here too much, and I want to mention the bartender Daxton (hope I spelled that correct). He is 90% of the reason we come every week. Fox Restaurants is lucky to have him on staff. He is exactly what makes a good restaurant great! Thank you for another great experience! Update: Still getting it right everytime. Great new seasonal items on the menu. We loved the Spicy Watermelon and Avocado dish from the snacks list! The service was flawless, and the atmosphere is always spot-on. *I will continue to reinforce my review. We eat here quite often, and the only time I had an issue, they seriously overcorrected. I say that complimentary. The barstaff is always pro. I can't say enough.

Such an amazing experience! had a wonderful and knowledgeable waitress that gave my and my friends awesome cocktail recs. literally loved ALL our recs. Had a well crafted charcuterie plate that completed our hangout vibes and the salmon dip was to DIE for. I will say that for some it'll be a bit pricey BUT for hand-crafted and farm to table style foods, its WELL worth it. im absolutely coming back!

It was super busy because of the football game, so that may have affected our experience. The black rice in the spicy vegan curry was slightly chewy and not as tender as I would hope for it to be. The chicken in the katsu was very tender, but the breading slid right off, and the bread for the sandwich was not quite toasted all the way. Our waitress was very busy and it took a little while to get a second round of drinks, but overall she was pleasant and kind . Would love to try this place again when they are not so busy.
