YS Mandi was the first Mediterranean cuisine tryout for me and the chicken mandi was just great. The price is reasonable (around 13$ with taxes) and tastes good. It's quite near to the east side of ASU on university drive and easily accessible. I would personally prefer the chicken mandi over here. May 2019 I recently tried the goat Mandi. The flavour is as good as chicken Mandi, although the goat is not fried. Its nothing to complain about. So, give it a try :)

Decided to try this restaurant for the first time tonight and ordered the chicken mandi. I was greeted with this monster platter! The chicken was tender and moist and falling off the bone with every tiny movement. Wonderfully seasoned and served with a massive pile of fresh rice. The yogurt sauce was good but the green sauce (some kind of jalapeño chutney?) was fantastic and had a very solid kick to it. I will definitely have to try everything else!

The atmosphere isn't much, but do you really need that when the food is so good? All you need is a table and a chair. This place is authentic, the people are warm, and you can taste the love in their food. There are only 4 indo/pak restaurants that I frequent. This is my biryani spot!

Very friendly staff and wonderful, halal and fairly priced food. All the mandi dishes were just amazing. They even have traditional floor seating! A must visit if you’re in the area.

The service was wonderful and the food was outstanding. It reminded me of my childhood in Somalia. The rice is delicious and the meat is so tender and flavored perfectly

I’ve been coming here for years and their chicken biryani is my favorite dish on EARTH. Seriously. I’ve tried probably half of the menu and it’s all incredible, but my gosh, that biryani is something else. Love this place and the people who work there. I’ll keep coming back until I leave this mortal earth.

Absolutely tasty food and friendly staff. Most flavourful and tender goat I had in the US. Chicken Mandi and Goat mandi are their popular and delicious items. A bit pricey, good quantity. If you love the spice ask them for 10/10 spice level which doesn't disappoint you. Abundant parking space. They have a section which has Arabian style seating where you sit down. Goat mandi 🙏

Just a disclaimer - It was the first time having Mediterranean cuisine for me, so I had no idea what to expect. Being an Indian, I went "Biryani rice" (Which is basically just veg Biryani), in order to trial the flavors which appeared familiar to me, at least on paper. To be honest, the food wasn't very much suited to my palate, but this is just a personal opinion, as these flavors are pretty much alien to me. Nevertheless, the service was excellent, and staff were very friendly!

YS Mandi is a Middle Eastern restaurant based upon the cuisine of Yemen. They offer traditional floor style seating or booths. I had the Falfel platter and the Falafel was the best that I've ever had! The Falafel platter is vegan. My husband got the Chicken Biryani. It was accompanied by a very spicy sauce and a much needed yogurt based sauce. (The spicy sauce was too spicy for my husband so he reached for the yogurt sauce quickly!) The serving sizes were generous. The waitress was very friendly and took time to explain a few dishes from the menu that my husband was considering. She always had a smile. This is not fast food - don't go here if you are in a hurry. Your food is cooked to order and well worth the wait. (The picture of the Falafel platter is what was left for me to take home!)

A top 3 spot @ ASU. A lot of people don't know about this place but it's some of the best food you'll find in the Phoenix area.

Their food is amazing, our go to is the lamb mandi, if I can eat one food for the rest of my life, it maybe this, so full of flavor and the lamb is tender. Doesn’t smell or taste gamey at all which is hard to do with lamb! The spicy green sauce is great as well! You will not be disappointed, has a very home cooked feel to their food!
