I went to TPR for Lunch with a friend today.
I ordered the "Lunch Special" of Chicken Parm, with Ziti.
When our order arrived, I was amazed at the extremely generous size of the portion I received. The "Lunch Special" was more food, then some places serve for dinner. The waiter who helped us was extremely attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, both Tenafly resident who may not have tried it, and visitor. I believe they will leave here extremely satisfied
Great place large portions . . Very attentive to your personal needs for a family style meal.. Service is good and private room for a party . I have been going there for over 20 years
Love it go there at least 3 times a month, pizza great chicken parm great salads great. Friendly help.
Authentic Italian cuisine. ...it gets no better than this. ...anywhere!

Love and miss this place!
Amazing place. The food was great, we had Chicken Parm Hero and Eggplant Rollatine. The atmosphere is nice and the people that work there bring it all together. I travel quite a bit and love to find hidden gems and TPR is definitely one of those places.
My friend, who lives in Tenafly, told me about TPR. Went for the first time this afternoon for lunch. The luncheon portions are substantial. I ordered capellini with spinach. When I received my order it far exceeded my expectations. The dish was the thinnest spaghetti cooked to perfection (al dente), spinach, roasted red peppers and garlic. It was the balance of flavors that was impressive. The garlic was noticeable but not overwhelming. Go and enjoy well prepared Italian food at reasonable prices. I certainly look forward to going back.
The calzone was good, the dough and filling were delicious, but the cook could have spread it out to the corners better, instead of heaping it up in the center and leaving unfilled dough on the corners. The dipping sauce however was horrible. It was like a canned sauce without seasoning. I could have made a way better marinara sauce with a little bit of tomato chunks and some finely chopped onions and basil and a touch of oregano.
Almost as good as the original Rudys!
Very good pizza with crunchy crust, good mozzerella and sauce.. so so so close to the best Rudys! We ate inside during the stupid lockdowns of 2020. No masks! We were able to sit down and eat like normal human beings with no masks! Very good! The dinning room is nice. They have lots of tables. Comfy leather seats. Free yummy bread made fresh and hot.

Buffalo wings were a bit too hot. Maybe add plain fried wings and a sweet dipping sauce like Grant St or Rudys.
Please add Joes Tea (raspberry, lemon, peach)
And please add diet rootbeer and diet dr pepper
Met the work family here for a retirement party. The meal started w still warm Italian bread & butter. Appetizers were salad & pizza, both served family style. That was followed by a bowl of delicious penne vodka. For my entree, I ordered eggplant parm, but honestly couldn't even eat it because I was already full. I am very much looking forward to having that for dinner tomorrow.
Great Italian restaurant and pizzeria! Excellent food variety and friendly employees. They always take care of us when i'm in town visiting family (i'm now in the Midwest). I especially respect the fact that they care about, and treat my autistic brother with understanding and kindness. I love this place!
Delicious food! The only thing and reason for my 4 stars is their prices! Way over priced for the menu! They are in an affluent town, Tenafly. And can charge any price and they will still patronize the restaurant! Enjoy, bon appetite!
