Overall, fantastic experience. Service was pleasant prompt. Food was actually really delicious and exceeded my expectations. I had chicken and waffles and there was a whole half of chicken and plenty of waffles. Chicken was perfectly cooked nice and juicy inside and great crunchy outside. We will be back.
Metro diner is as consistent as it gets. They have some main staples on their menu that are very tempting to get all the time but they have big menu of amazing plates that are worth to try. The food is great and portions excellent. The friendly custumer service is a welcome change from your every day run-of-the-mill chain restaurant. What is best for us is the 2.99 mimosas everyday and any time and they are hardcore.
Man, my husband and I have went here two days in a row! We really enjoyed the mimosas and the time spent. Quick and friendly! We absolutely loved our meals! Wait staff was amazing! Please I encourage you to sit at the bar and have a mimosa or even two Melony will take great care of you!
Metro Diner is a family favorite. My husband and I came here for lunch and it was absolutely perfect, as usual.
We ordered the carafe of red sangria. My husband had the pot roast, and I went with my favorite, the iron city meatloaf. We also were being gluttonous so we shared a half order of the fried chicken (which is always a hit).
The waiter, I believe his name is Jordan, is always great. We’ve had him several times and he’s always on point . He gives great recommendations, he’s attentive but not too overbearing, and he’s friendly.
As usual, our food came out pretty quickly, and it was delicious. The pot roast melts in your mouth. The only thing is that they should pair it with white rice rather than mashed potatoes. Nonetheless, it was so good that I kept picking off of my husband’s plate.
Fabulous food! Fabulous service! Lots of teamwork had by all. Great place all around.
Steak on my steak and hashbrown bowl was very chewy.. but as soon as I brought it up to the server, my needs were handled and I was very well taken care of.
I only have a picture of the greenbeans because we ate everything else so fast and this is actually our 2nd double order of the beans and they just hit the table - so there ya go. Green beans for dessert, I suppose!
We got Biscuits and Gravy and green beans for appetizer. I got the steak bowl and husband got the breakfast burger. The burger was EXCELLENT!
We had a blast and Jennie was so helpful and great service. We sat at the bar and had an amazing g breakfast and rolled on out. Our only regret is that we didn’t know about the bloody Mary’s till the seat mates At the Counter ordered one. Must have on the next visit. We will be back 😄
This was our first time visiting Metro Diner. We were delighted with our experience! The restaurant was clean and we were seated promptly. Our server was helpful and kind. The food was delicious! My daughter had the kid's platter and I had the steak scramble bowl....yummy!!
We were in a hurry, so my daughter wrapped up her biscuit to take with us. However, when we went to leave, we accidentally left it behind. We were about 5 minutes away before we realized. I called and asked if our table had been cleaned already and it had. However the lady who answered the phone said if we came back she'd have another ready for us. Sure enough, we went back inside and found another reason why we'll be returning. She has a biscuit all ready for us in a to go box. You made a little girl happy and a mommy impressed! Thanks for being so great! We will see you again soon!!
New to the area. Walked in, pleasantly greeted, told it would be 5 minutes. Was seated very quickly, greeted promptly. Service was great compared to other big name places. Food was incredible. My husband talked me into the fried seafood plate. Just great. Will be back!
