Review Sunrise Diner - Thomasville

A wonderful experience and the food was absolutely amazing. The waitress was the most wonderful and sweetest person and really took care of my granddaughter and myself. She made it extra special. The catfish/shrimp combo was just amazing delicious. Thank you sunrise for such a wonderful experience on Wednesday the 11th. I'll definitely be back there many times.

I rarely write reviews but this place is so delicious, I felt compelled too. BEST grits I've EVER had!!!! Amber our waitress, she was very sweet and attentive to us. Only in town for a month but without a doubt will be back for more.

Generous portions! This was a pork tenderloin, 2 eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy and 2 biscuits. It was delicious but I couldn't finish it! It was 2 meals for me!

This place is a GEM!!! I mean DIAMOND in the ruff!! Flavorful food, clean place, good service,correct orders fulfilled and unbeatable prices! Everything that ive tried so far has been mouth watering!! I cant get enough. Our family has eaten take out there 4 out of the past 8 days! We love it!

Went through Drive through window and paid $12 and change for 2 plain chicken sandwiches and a fry. We got one sandwich and it had lettuce and tomato and mayonaise and a fry. I get home and call back and a girl says they will make it good. We get there and the owner says we're lying and won't make it good. I have been coming here for many years but I will NEVER set foot on that property again. The owner is a thief!

The hostess was our waitress today and it was not a good experience. Got our food warm at best then got our silverware later. But everybody has a off day too, I will give her the benefit of the doubt and go back.

Really not sure how this place has good reviews at all. The only good thing we had was the toast and oj. Service wasn't even good, never asked one time how our meal was or anything. No refills, nothing. I would recommend that they really clean they cooktops properly. You can literally taste the filthy in the food. Worst place we've been to in a long time.

Got a burger and some fries and it was delicious! Did a create your own and it was so fulfilling and am glad I went for it as I normally only get a combo platter of chicken and popcorn shrimp.

Best breakfast restaurant I've been to in my 5 years in the Carolinas. Fantastic food, fast, friendly service, good value. Don't skip this place if you're in the area.

Well the baked potato I got was cold, the ham looked like it came out of a can and it wasn't hot either. The woman seem to be too busy talking to other people then to wait on us like she should have. She was very unprofessional. My daughter's chicken salad she wouldn't even touch. After she tasted it she said it tasted like it was 4 days old. I would not recommend this place to my dog.

Most of the time it is OK, but don't go when they are busy on Saturday mornings. Some of the waitresses seem very overwhelmed and when they come to your table they start telling you of their problems they have had that morning.Every time we go and have this particular waitress we know something will be wrong.Linda and Mary and Aleshia are the best.

The servers and cashiers always seem like they could care less if you are there. They are very inconsistent with pricing. I’ve never had anyone smile, or just be kind. And the food is just simply not that great � The only thing yummy (that has brought me back) is their veggie soup and hot chips.

Always love sunrise, the best Cajun catfish ever!! And that lasagna is like my aunt use to make, awesome give it a 5 ++++

Tried to eat breakfast with 6 people and would not let us go to the back room. No tables available elsewhere. Said wouldn't let us go back there with only 6...lol...never set foot in there again and will tell everyone I know.

So mom says, "Let's just go get something to eat at Sunrise Diner". I say "sure, that's fine". So we go and eat. The food is ok, But the service from the waitress was AWFUL! She came over to bring my son his only refill on his drink when we were finished eating! My son asked for "a box to go please". The waitress said "you want a box?" my son and I said "Yes". The waitress said "ok" and left. She then walked over to the manager and started a conversation with him. We waited for 10 minutes for the box, asked another waitress for the box and then our waitress acted like she was going to get it, but then started talking again. I got up to pay the check and made the statement "Well I guess he doesn't get a box, because the waitress is too busy talking". Then she got him a box, with an attitude! The cashier asked how was everything and did I want to leave a tip on the card. I said "no, absolutely not". My response was, "the food was fine, but the service was terrible", she asked why so I told her. The waitress promptly came over and started to smart off to me. The manager is looking confused and asked what I was upset about. I stated "that my son asked for a box and the waitress was to busy talking to earn any kind of a tip." The waitress came back over to me and and told the cashier "what happened was that he asked for a box and when I went to get it, the manager stopped me to talk to me and I forgot. What was I supposed to do not listen to my manager?" I said "you should have told the manager: just a minute, I need to get something for a customer" However, what she didn't realize is that the entire time she was having a conversation with the manager, we were watching her. For 5 minutes straight she, the manager and 2 others were leaning against the counter not talking! I looked straight at her and she still did nothing. I said "hey, it's not my tip" the waitress said "I don't need your tip, I have enough to cover me for the week". When we were walking out, 2 customers were walking in and I told mom that I wouldn't be back for a long while because while the food was ok, the waitress was atrocious! I thought the customer was always right, but apparently at Sunrise Diner in Thomasville NC, the waitress is exempt from that! What is so bad beside the fact that my son is Autistic and was wearing a shirt that says "I have Autism..." the check was $25 and I would have left a $10 tip for good service. I actually have on many occasions! I will not go back!

This place is awful! From the food to the service! I can cook in a microwave better than they do at this place! Did I say this place was awful? I was being generous.

Waitress walked over trash to bring us food. Never came back to check on us, but did come to take our pepper shaker from us. Hostess was no better. Food was just typical bland tasting food. Will not be back.

The food is great and so are the waitresses I eat there all the time

Excellent wait staff and my breakfast was awesome, as always!
