Perfectly seasoned rice reveals a lot about the quality of the ingredients. And MAKI has the best of both. Japanese owned restaurant on Main Street in Tigard. Worth the drive from downtown Portland.

I highly recommend the katsu don, a delightful bowl of lightly breaded fried pork, onions, rice with dash of sweet/savory broth, topped with a cooked (or optionaly Japanese style)
