My favorite restaurant ever, perfect for any and every occasion. I seriously am obsessed with this place!
We made a priority booking on open table. On arriving we were told there's a 45 minutes wait and that we will receive a text when the table is ready. We were not happy with the fact that on top of the 45 minutes we had to wait for an additional 15 minutes or so to get a table even though there quite a few open tables in the restaurant.
The food is decent, we got thre crab cake sandwich, steak and the soups. We particularly loved the soups. They were delicious. We also tried the cocktails - loved the peach one and also the pineapple cider. The steak was cooked well and the quantity of the sides was enough. Overall, we liked the restaurant but the wait times are extremely high.
10 out of 10 stars baby! This was my first time eating here and on my birthday! Let me tell you how much of a cool experience this is! The food is phenomenal and the lava rocks and how you cook your steak right in front of you is an amazing concept! And I swear it made the food taste that much greater! Great wait staff and very in tune to the menu and questions that may help you better understand how it all works! The sides and extra add ons were amazing just go and find out for yourself!
Be sure to make a reservation. We celebrated New Years Eve dinner with our friends at the Black Rock Bar & Grill. We started off with an amazing crab dip appetizer. For dinner, we had steak, shrimp, and tuna dinners that were delicious. This dessert(photo below)was filled with whipped cream, brownie, ice cream, waffle cones, with chocolate and caramel sauce! The topper was a sparkler that was lit! Sorry I didn’t get that in the picture. It was SO good. We couldn’t finish it. The waitress was fun, energetic, and loved being at work which was good to see!! Great place to eat with family and/ or adults.
I came for my birthday and loved it! It was a first for me, and would love to come again. The waitress was nice, and I understand the complaints about the slow service but just like everywhere else- they’re understaffed. They’re doing the best they can, and it’s out of their hands. I do wish they would’ve explained how to use the rock before my food came, because it felt rude for me to start picking at my meat so it didn’t burn while the waitress was talking and explaining. The macaroni is amazing, but I had trouble cooking my green beans (I’m assuming they needed to be cooked). I preferred the seasoned butter to cook my steak vs the sauce that came with it. The experience of cooking your food was slightly stressful but fun because you’re working with limited space, but I would most definitely come again!!
Just had this for the first time tonight with my boyfriend. We absolutely loved it. The food was amazing. The atmosphere was great. I loved the staff. Our waitress was Tatum and she was lovely. She was super nice and very attentive to our table. Would definitely recommend coming here. We got the lobster dip, lobster bisque, ahi tuna, and the mac and cheese burger. 100% 10 out 10 place to come and eat.
Clam chowder was excellent. Fish and chips was good but the fries were too salty. Wife had a chicken dish which was to bland. Prices were good for what you get.
Had an awesome experience for our first time at Black Rock for my birthday last night (12/18/21) food was excellent, and waitress Olivia was the absolute best! She explained everything how it worked and which coupons we could use for our best deal! And for dessert we had (free cause it was my birthday) the Flaming volcano which was absolutely delicious I will definitely be back to try different foods!!
Food is served raw that you cook at the table on hot black rock squares. Everything had good flavor and fun to prepare. The flaming volcano dessert was a hit! No unused or finished with tableware was ever removed during the meal making the table cluttered. Server was knowledgeable and friendly. No wait at 5:30pm on a Monday.
