Family-owned restaurant in business for 100 years. Friendly staff. They offer breakfast during those hours. The food is good and affordably priced. Stop in and try there authentic all beef chili cheese dogs.

Ok so this review has some bias - I fell in love with the staff. I walked in 15 minutes before close and they told me to make myself at home. They went WAY above and beyond what I would expect.
So the food - the coney dog(s), yeah I let them talk me into more than one, were solid. I liked the chili - it seemed unique. I was satisfied with the couple I had.
BUT, this place is all about the history and the relationships. Steph, Leo and Dawn were probably the nicest people I’ve ever met. I’m not sure what Leo’s job really is other than getting the waitresses riled up a little. The workers are gritty and passionate about this place.
It’s not the nicest, it’s not the best food, it’s not the best location. But I fell in love with it. I encourage EVERYONE to check it out. They’ve been around for over 100 years and there is so much goodness with the people and a great vibe!
So my summary - go to this place and tip the staff. Great people who are in this for the purpose (and probably need your help!).

Great service in a traditional American icon. The all American Coney hot dog. Really enjoyed it, and it's a good place to stop in for just a cup of great coffee at the counter seats too. Clean and simple. Close to the bus hub.
First time trying Coney Island, food was great , im working downtown at the jail , and the officers recommended it .
We just moved to the area and stumbled across this place when there was nothing else open to eat at. It looked a bit run down and questionable as to if they were open. Walked inside and it’s definitely old school New York vibes! The staff was super amazing! We got the all beef hot dogs and our whole family (picky kids too) agreed they were the best hot dogs we’ve ever had! And we eat hot dogs all the time thanks to our youngest who requests them often. Please go here and support this place! You won’t regret it! We will forever stop here on our way to the science museum as a fun luncheon! So good! You can’t go wrong!
