Delicous food and fast service, hot coffee. I went to City Diner with a few friends one saturday about lunch time. The restaurant is small and comfortable with old movie posters on the wall and big windows looking onto Monroe, and contemporary music playing on the radio. I ordered the Burger and it was great! It came with fries (crinkle cut, were hot and delicious!) and was plenty filling. My companions had a western omelette which he said was really good, another person had a mexican omelette with cheese covered potatoes which he said was great, and the 4th person had eggs benedict which looked fantastic. We all agreed that the food was delicious and that would would definitely return. The service was quick and friendly with two different servers keeping our drinks and coffees topped off. It was also really inexpensive, which was a bonus. Will definitely return to City Diner!
Not a bad stop for an inexpensive breakfast. Pretty standard greasy spoon diner.
I went to City Diner for my birthday breakfast today. All I wanted was steak and eggs. They were out of steak. But because I was so disappointed, and it's my birthday, they sent a guy out to buy more steaks!
