Excellent customer service and staff. Ordinary wait of around 15-20 minutes. Not that bad. Perfect date night spot. Ambiance and mood are cozy. Bring your conversation and an appetite. Took a star away for the slippery floor. Overall great experience.

I like the concept and experience to cook your own meal and stakes, but what I don'tike is that after 15 minutes, you're so greasy, floor is slippery, and by the time you are out of the restaurant, you are stinky and you'll take the smell back to your car and your house. Liked the place, location and the parking spaces. Waiting time is about 30 or more minutes if no reservations. One tiem experience for me.

Gen Korean bbq was ok. Came for a friend's birthday and this was my first time trying it . It was about a 30in wait time (no problem) got seated. Did not care for any of the sides since I'm a non veggie picky eater. The inside was super cool with all the blue lights. My fav meats were the beef bulgogi that tastes like Philly steak meat and the spicy pork (highly recommend over the spicy chicken) I did eat my money's worth of meat. Will I go back? Only if it was a special occasions only. But still something different that is ok trying also care of the floors when walking to and from table that are a bit slippery

DO NOT EAT HERE!!
This place is a complete disaster! Over priced, service SUCKS! Their floor is so slippery and when I addressed it with the “manager” she just said sorry. Their restroom is unbelievable!!! Imagine having to take your toddler in there. See the pics attached. I will NEVER be back. This place needs an inspection and I am making the call Monday morning!

Gen Korean delivers a good experience. The staff was on point and the food was great, shared over a community table grill. My biggest critique is that the bathrooms need work. It feels like you just walked into a corner store restroom where unspeakable things may happen.

My party of 4 arrived at about 1pm and there was a 20 to 40 minute wait time. We were seated after 25 minutes. The only issue we had before being seated was with the menu, they use a QR code at the check in area for the menu but it wouldn't load for me. We were able to locate a menu online but it wasn't exactly right. We ordered our drinks and meats and everything was great, except the Hawaiian Beef Steaks. They seemed to be frozen and the cut of meat was tough and had a LOT of gristle. Everything else was perfect and delicious.

The place is great, but gets really busy. If you’re looking for a quick bite to eat I wouldn’t recommend. The place is friends and family friendly. I went in a group of 8 and waited a bit but the staff make up for the wait very attentive and the food is great.

Went for a quick lunch yesterday by myself. I only had the beef brisket and garlic pork belly both were exceptional and delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is clean and tables have sides and salad ready to go just tell the waiter what meats you want.

Great food, great service...BUT the music was so loud that we had to ask to have the volume/tone down. My 90 yr old cousin invited to have lunch with family there last Sat. (8/19/17). We felt that we were at a dance place, not a Korean BBQ restaurant. We were told that it's piped in via Pandora...Hmmm! GEN should review and make another selection of music for the restaurant. Beautiful decor in restaurant...but the music playing is out-of-place with this type of restaurant.

Went on a Wednesday evening around 6pm. Only waited about 5 minutes. The food and service was amazing, also had fun cooking my own meat on the grill. I will definitely be going back here

Long wait, service needs a little improvement coz’ it takes a while before they come back to give your needs. At one time, we have no more meat to eat since it takes a while for them to bring your order, plus they don’t go back to refill your drinks.

Great Hawaiian steaks! That’s why the price is high due to STEAKS but it’s all worth the price!

People think "all you can eat" is all about getting the most bang for your buck with quantity. I'd much rather prefer quality. This place is A-OK. Three 1/2 stars. Service was hit and miss...

I was here 10 months ago, and before that seven months.. so its not my first time. This visit was Mother's Day. Probably a day not to come for great service, because it's a "special holiday". I was invited by my aunt for a "Mother's Day" dinner, so it wasn't my choice to come, and I can't complain about the price.

There were 13 of us, and we arrived at 5:30. As I said it was Mother's Day and the place was packed. We had two people helping us, and yet it took until our second round of food to get our drinks, and even then it was wrong. Never got refills offered, probably because they were so busy!

Even the food we ordered was not right. We ended up with three orders of Bulgogi, and I don't think we ever got some of the food we asked for. We were handed an order of spicy something, and no one ordered it.

Later, a guy asked if we got our Galbi, and we said we'll take it.. and he stepped back and said "Did you order it"? We said yes (but had no idea if someone in our table did).

What they should do is be like Din Tai Fung, and put a slip of paper on the table so they know what table ordered what. So when your order comes, you have proof you received what you ordered (or you ordered what you received).

One thing our waitstaff did do was change out the cooking pans frequently. However the pilot light kept going off, and it took forever to find a staff to relight our grill. Our guy would also change the grill at the time our meat was "just" about ready, so he'd swap out a hot grill for a cold one, which really made no sense. You'd think he'd wait until we finished cooking first.

Overall A-OK. BTW: Gen is a franchise, so not all Gen restaurants are owned by the same people.

First time I tried korean bbq! Nice experience, really liked the decor! This is an all-you-can-eat where the food gets grilled in front of you. Meat and squid, paper rice and little side dishes, everything was really nice

Torrance's GEN Korean BBQ House serves up an all-you-can-eat delight at a very reasonable price and will definitely have you coming back for seconds. Now, all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ is just one of those things that has to be experienced. You're sitting there at a table in front of a giant grill with all this food ready to be cooked. As you're munching on a few side dishes, everything cooks in front of you. This is a great group activity and I suggest doing this with friends who have huge appetites. I'll let the photos do the talking. Ready to fire up the grill! Laying down the meat and some squid for color. Watching that sizzle and wishing I could smell all this all over again. You get quite a few sides to whet your palate while you're waiting for the main courses to cook. I highly recommend the potato salad, and sometimes it has to be specifically requested. An abundance of rice paper is available to wrap your grilled delights. Macaron ice cream sandwiches for dessert are delectable. My only quip is that you can only purchase them on your way out instead of requesting them at your table. I still don't understand why that's the case. For the amount of food that you can get at this place, the price is just right. Just make sure to bring friends to enjoy the vast selection. Lunch and dinner work identically, except that the former has eight less "grilling" choices than the later counterpart. However, if you're just looking to stuff your face it's not too much to miss - the popular selections are still on there. GEN Korean BBQ house is located at 24301 Crenshaw Blvd. in Torrance.
