First and last time to the restaurant. Banners posted in front and back that lunch specials were until 4 pm. Arrived at 3:05 and given menu that said lunch special only until 3 pm also told we were too late for lunch by woman who wasn't our waitress. Had the Kalua pork with cabbage. It was way too salty. My boyfriend had the char siu saimin. It had a lot of char siu and gai lin. Charged $9.50 and didn't get the soup with the kalua pork.
The woman who told us that lunch specials ended, refilled our waters and was more attentive and provided better service then our waitress. Our waitress only took our order & brought the check. When asked why we didn't get soup with the meal, she advised it doesn't come with soup. The other waitress overheard and corrected our waitress.
Had really gone to get manapua from the bakery. Should have stopped by the bakery/deli first. Would not have gone to the mediocre at best restaurant. The service at the bakery was far better.

I don't normally eat here, I call ahead and get it to go. The food is pretty decent, but I love the wonton soup. This is my go to spot whenever I am sick, gotta have my wonton soup.
I have tried many menu items, enjoyed all of it.

Had been going here for years. Today will be the last day. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Stood in the front waiting for someone to help me. Everyone kept passing by ignoring. The bartender ignored as she was less than 6 feet from me. Then after standing there for 10 minutes, I finally asked someone if they could get someone to help me. I was told someone would be right out....still waiting about to leave and the bartender says here I'll help you. She looked up my order them tells me it's not ready. I said the guy told me 15 minutes. She responded with a attitude "I don't know why he would tell you that we're busy but I'll go check on your order". I said " well that's what he said 15 minutes but it's been 25" the guy finally came out with order. I get home and my container is filled halfway! Needless to say I threw it in the trash....that was done purposely. I left a message for manager Mr. Chun. Waiting for a call back....in the meantime I went to my favorite Tai food restaurant TASTY SIAM! Should've gone there on the first place. Hong Kong Garden is BLOWS!

Great food, great service. I highly recommend this place if you like Chinese food.
**** Update **** unfortunately this place has closed. A new Mexican restaurant has opened in its place. Good food and atmosphere.

My late father in law, a great cook himself from Canton loved this place. Namely the dim sum from their deli. I love the shrimp fried rice, vegetable chow mein, and their fresh vegetables. Friends from South Africa love the egg custard tarts.

Good for Chinese take-out. Love their bakery & deli. Lots of delicious & fresh menu items. My favs are the roasted pork, BBQ pork, har gow, steamed buns , steamed rice cake, and coconut breads/rolls. Good to call in your order to avoid the long wait.

Not bad Chinese food for the price. Good location, but I wish they keep to original old school. They are trying to be asian fusion for younger and diversify clients.
